Kate, after crying her eyes out for two days and pondering on the word -mate- she decided to search up the word on the internet.
It gave her different results, making her more confused. -A mate means sexual partners of animals?- She read. Why did Isaac say that I am his mate? What does it mean? Does it mean we are told to be mated? Are we meant to be together? But he wanted to kill me.
Kate recalled when Isaac grabbed her by the neck and started choking her. She saw his eye’s color change, but she wasn’t so sure of it. She thought she imagined things, or she was already dying.
She has been dailing his line since he left angrily, but she wasn’t reaching him. It made her more heartbroken. Then she thought of Serena and got angry.
If that idiot, foolish bitch wasn’t his sister, then it could have been better. He loves me, but she poisoned his mind against me, he loves me, and now he isn’t picking my calls. He even wanted to kill me because of her.
I hate you, Serena. I hate you!! She thought, scattering her hair.
I will make you pay. I will sincerely make you pay for everything you’ve done. For every disgrace you caused me. I promise I’ll make you pay! She swore to herself.

Kendrick looked over the solvent for Isaac, then finally saw him in the basement, alone and smoking. It surprised him.
“Isaac?” He called, putting his phone into his trouser pocket. “Yo! What’s up, man? When last was it? I can’t recall the last time you smoked, man. Is everything okay?” Kendrick asked, concerned and amused.
Isaac puffed out smokes from his mouth and sighed. “No, it’s nothing.” He replied.
Kendrick looked backward and back to him. “Wait, are you speaking to me or who? I asked you what the hell was wrong with you. Tell me, when did you start keeping secrets? The last time you did that, I hated your sister for that. You want that to happen again?” Kendrick frowned, a little annoyed.
Isaac sighed again. He took his fingers to his hair and ruffled it. “I’m trying to think, I… I don’t know what to do. I’m confused as it is.” Isaac retorted.
“But, what happened? Is Serena in trouble? Did she tell you that she hates you now? What did you do to her?” Kendrick questioned, knowing he cared about his sister more than anything.
“No, it’s not about her. She’s not,” Isaac informed, shaking his head slightly.
“So tell me, don’t keep me curious. Tell me!” Kendrick demanded again.
“I think Kate is my mate. Serena’s fuçking sister. The one I was going to kill.” Isaac yelled, looking frustrated.
“Wait, what? Your mate? How can that be?” Kendrick scoffed.
“She’s a pure-blooded human, bro. Is that even possible? I mean…”
“You forget Serena’s mom is also a human, but she was my father’s, real mate. Even my mom knew.” Isaac interrupted and informed.
“Yes, that’s true. But I thought those kinds of situations were rare. How come it’s happening to you too? Wait, how come it’s your sister’s sister?” Kendrick asked.
“I don’t know. I don’t know the game the moon goddess is trying to play by doing this to me. I don’t… I don’t understand, and I almost strangled her days ago. She pissed Serena off, and I got upset myself and almost killed her.”
“And I could have done that, but Serena could have hated me, and I will also get punished. Aside from punishment, if she is truly my fated mate, then I’m going to die shortly after her. I might not survive it.” Isaac revealed.
“No! You shouldn’t do that. If she’s your mate, bro, you should go for her. Learn how to accept the mate bond and love her. I’ll do the same to mine.” Kendrick advised.
“She’s Serena’s enemy. I can’t do that. You know everything she planned for Serena. She wanted me to kill her without knowing our real relationship. She could kill her if she finds the chance. She’s eviler than the beast himself.” Isaac shook his head in refusal.
“Have you tried changing her then?”
“I’ve tried. I… I hoped, I tried, but she’s just full of hate. If I accept her right now and move on with her, I fear she might turn me against Serena.”
“You know she and Serena are two different people. They are like opposite worlds. Good and bad. Serena tries turning evil, but she can’t just do it. Kate tries turning good but just can’t do it. I’m afraid she can’t be changed, man.” Isaac complained.
“Yeah, that’s right. I forget. But she was serious about putting you in the middle of your sister and her sister. The moon goddess needs some advice. Forgive me, but she does. Is that why you are killing yourself out there?”
“You should tell your sister. I’m sure she’ll understand the situation.” Kendrick reasoned.
“No! No! She must not know about it, Rick. Do not tell her!” Isaac warned. “Even Grey, do not tell him,” Isaac added.
“Do not tell me what? Are you guys planning something hiding out here?” Grey asked, walking into the picture.
“Wait, Isaac! Is that a cigarette with you? Yo! You are finally becoming a man.” Grey joked. Isaac scoffed, and Kendrick rolled his eyes at him.
“But wait, a wonderful lady is looking for you, Isaac. I came to inform you.” Grey announced.
“Who is that?” Kendrick asked.
“I don’t know. I just told you it’s a wonderful lady, and she’s hot. I repeat, she is smoking hot, vicious. Wait! I think she is your sister! Is that your sister, Isaac?” Grey’s eyes widened.
“Moon goddess! Why didn’t I recognize her? Shit!” Grey cussed and started running back up.
“Your sister is here. You should remove that look that is plastered on your face and see her. She might notice your sore mood.” Kendrick advised pulling Isaac up.

“Has she left?” King Zed asked. He was standing in front of his window. He was staring out to the garden far away.
“Yes, Your Highness. She left an hour ago.” Beta Adam informed.
“Um… your Highness? About her sister, from the Intel I got. She is going to make a move when she sees Serena. Will it be okay to let her back into your company? She might harm her.” Beta Adam reasoned.
“She’s not. She can’t do so.” King Zed stated.
“But your Highness, it’s not as if I doubt her abilities, but her sister will get the whole idea about us soon. Since Isaac is her mate, there is no way she’ll remain in the dark for long. I heard she even searched up the word -mate- online. She might use it to her advantage and harm her.” Beta Adam explained.
“Do you know why I’m keeping her in my company up until now?” King Zed briefly turned to look at Beta Adam.
“Um… yes, you want Serena to trample on her just like she did to her.” Beta Adam answered.
“That’s a lesser reason, Adam. I’m not planning on letting her stay alive for a long time. Those who hurt what is mine will pay the price with their lives. What about her father? Hope you took care of him?”
“Yes. He has been disposed, but the daughter doesn’t know yet.” Beta Adam replied.
Adam paused before speaking up again.
“Your Highness? But you want to kill Serena’s sister? Don’t you think Serena might… might.. you know?” Beta Adam’s voice cracked. He was afraid of the way King Zed might react if he completed his words.
“Might hate me?” King Zed completed what he was about to ask.
“Um… yes, your Highness. She’ll hate you for that. I understand that Serena already hates her. She seems to love her at the same time. I think family comes first for her.”
“So, why don’t you allow Isaac do it instead? I mean, he almost did it back then. When she learns of it, she won’t stay angry at him forever. It’ll be way better than knowing you did it instead.” Beta Adam suggested.
King Zed snarled at him.
“What did you just say? Are you reasonable enough, Adam? Setting Isaac up with her makes things more worst. I don’t hide like a coward when I want to do things.” King Zed groaned. He was angry at what Beta Adam suggested.
He thought about it as being a coward and not owning up to your actions.
“Um, I’m sorry. I was just concerned about your new relationship with her.” Beta Adam apologized.
King Zed turned to face the window again.
“You can leave, Adam.” He dismissed him with a single wave.
Beta Adam turned to leave but stopped when King Zed added, “Adam, do not try what you did two days ago?” He warned.
Beta Adam opened his mouth and closed it back before leaving his chambers.
So, he still remembers how I tried making him jealous and how he attempted to boil me alive? He thought as he went back to his room.

Serena sat down on Isaac’s bed. She dialed his line numerous times, but he wasn’t picking up, so she decided to see him instead and what King Zed said about him got her curious.
She wonders about the issue he has but doesn’t want to share it with her. She also wanted to use that opportunity to tell them everything that happened between King Zed and him. She was so excited, at some point, she wondered when she was also going to meet his mate.
She decided she was also going to bring it up. It’s like having a sister-in-law. It made her so happy, and she imagined Isaac’s mate and her acting like sisters. She hoped his mate would also be pleasant like him.
She heard the sitting room door opening and adjusted on Isaac’s bed. Isaac’s room door opened, and Grey rushed in.
“I remember you now. You are Isaac’s pretty sister. Goodness! How could I forget your pretty face, pretty?” Grey asked, trying to flirt with her.
Serena’s scoffed and brought down her eyeglasses.
“And who exactly are you? Where is my brother?” Serena demanded.
“I’m right here,” Isaac replied from behind.
Serena stood up from the bed and approached him.
“Hi, I was so worried. Is anything the matter? Is there something you are not telling me?” Serena inquired while hugging Isaac warmly.
“Hey, how are you doing?” Isaac hugged her back, ignoring her question.
“I’m good. I have a lot to tell you.” Serena informed and looked at Grey, who was just standing there and staring at them both.
“Can you leave us? I have something to tell my brother.” Serena demanded.
“Yes. I can. Of course, but can I make you a cup of coffee? I know you are good at making coffees but trust me, I’m also very good at it.” Grey proposed.
“No, thanks. I can only take my brother’s coffee and not yours.” Serena answered, pulling Isaac into his room.
Embarrassed and unhappy, Grey left his room. Serena closed his door and turned to face him properly.
“Is that the smell of cigarettes on you, Isaac? What is wrong?” Serena asked, bringing her tone down. She was concerned when she hugged and smelt the cigarette on him, and it got her worried because she had never seen it before.
No, It added to her worries.
“No, I didn’t smoke. Kendrick did,” Isaac lied.
“Really? Do you think I’m that stupid now? Your mouth smells of it. When did you start lying to me, Isaac? I won’t lie to you. Why are you doing that to me?” Serena grimaced. She left him to sit on his bed again.
Isaac sighed and went to sit beside her. I’m sorry for lying, S, I… I just took a stick out of borden, but you don’t have to worry about it.” Isaac assured.
“Really? Then please tell me what issue you’re dealing with. I want to help.” Serena petitioned and proposed.
