THE CEO ALPHA KING (-Mate-)

A knock was heard at the door, and Serena moved to answer whoever was knocking. She opened the door to see Beta Adam standing there.
“Can I?” He asked and started entering without waiting for her answer.
Serena moved out of the way and watched as he sat down on her bed.
“Your room looks nice; it’s as big as mine.” Beta Adam claimed.
Serena closed the door and walked to stand in front of him, and she was only putting on a singlet that revealed her slender body.
“Is that supposed to be a compliment?” Serena folded her arms beneath her breast and smirked.
“Call it whatever you want to call it.” Beta Adam smirked back at her.
“Oh, what is that mark on your shoulder? Is that what you call a love bite?” Beta Adam asked, noticing the hickeys the King left on her shoulder last night and this morning.
Serena’s head lowered, she tried looking for it but didn’t find it, then she moved to stand in front of her mirror and saw not only one love mark but numerous. It embarrassed her to hell.
“I guess you have a secret boyfriend. Who is he, by the way?” Beta Adam teased.
Serena took the duvet that rested on the arm of her chair she covered her body with it. “You got a boyfriend, huh?! Woah, why don’t you deny it?” Beta Adam pressed.
“What are you doing in my room? What do you want?” Serena fired back, avoiding the question.
She thought it was better to avoid it and probably make Beta Adam believe that she indeed has a boyfriend somewhere else; she can’t open her mouth and openly say that King Zed left those love marks on her body.
That they made out both yesterday and this morning, the thought made her blush, but she was quick to hide her face from Beta Adam as she repeated her earlier question.
“What are you doing here, Adam?”
Beta Adam knowing everything that went down, though not the full details, just laughed to himself and answered the question.
“I’m to escort you to Elena. I heard she has a lot of things to explain to you.”
“So get dressed. I’ll be waiting outside.” Beta Adam explained before standing up from her bed.
“And make sure you conceal that love mark. I’m sure you don’t want everyone staring at it since we are heading to King Zed’s empire, where you’ll soon become a major shareholder.” Beta Adam advised before finally leaving her room.
Serena groaned out in displease. She was a little annoyed that Beta Adam had seen and mocked her. She is dressed up in a gown covering all the hickeys, and the fluctuation is protective and beautiful. Perfect for winter.
After applying makeup and selecting the right shoe, she picked up her clutch bag and walked out of her room. She went outside the castle doors to find Beta Adam leaning against a red car and discussing with another Beta like himself.
She noticed that the red car he was leaning on looked newer than the other cars there. She also noticed that it was precisely like Isaac’s car. She got closer to Beta Adam, but her eyes couldn’t leave the car.
“I haven’t seen this car here before,” Serena spoke out.
“Yup, it’s brand new. I asked your brother about the brand he was using instead since you took a lot of time. I got this yesterday.” Beta Adam explained.
“Really?” Serena’s eyes widened.
“It’s my car? Why didn’t you tell me since?” Serena asked, getting all excited.
“Well, I never thought it was essential too.”
“What? Are you serious right now? It’s my first car. First car!” Serena exclaimed happily while hugging the car.
“Moon goddess, it’s so beautiful,” Serena admitted.
“Well, you should thank king Zed. He asked me to get you these baby remember?” Beta moved closer and whispered into her ear.
Serena got teary-eyed when she opened the car and saw how beautiful the inside was. “It’s so beautiful, and it looks costly.” She said with her voice cracking up.
“Hey, don’t cry. I don’t know how to console ladies that cry, so don’t try it. Just hold it in, and you can cry on the king’s chest later on.” Beta Adam whispered the last part into her ears.
Serena hissed and ignored him as she got into the car. She sat down at the front seat and examined the steering. Immediately she brought out her phone and messaged Isaac to inform him of what just happened to her. She could have called him, but she knows speaking with him on the phone would waste her time as she was heading out with Beta Adam.
She kept her phone in her purse and resumed admiring the innermost design while still trying hard to hold her tears. The first time she felt this happy was when she discovered that Isaac was her blood brother. She felt comfortable like this again when she returned to LA from New York to see King Zed and Isaac.
Now, this is the 3rd time in her life that she has felt this happy and emotional. Two years ago, if you were to tell me that someone would gift a car this expensive to me, I could have called that person a prevaricator and a fraud. I can’t believe this. Serena thought to herself.
Serena covered her mouth and wiped the tears that had already stained her makeup.
“Do you like the car that much?” She heard Beta Adam ask with a raised eyebrow. Her happiness is what he does not understand.
He has a lot of personal cars that he now looks at cars as mere clothes.
“Yes… I not only like it. I love it a lot. Thanks… thanks for getting this exact type.” Serena thanked.
The sincere look on her face amazed Beta Adam, and he had never seen her like that before. It also brought a smile to his face.
“It’s cool. You should thank King Zed more. It’s his money, you know.” Beta Adam encouraged.

Serena got back to the castle with Beta Adam later that day. Not only had Elena explained a lot of things to her concerning the mate bond, but Beta Adam also took her around the company and taught her a lot of things she needed to know.
She got back to her room and sat down, feeling a little bit exhausted. She wanted to see the King essentially. There were things she earnestly desired to confirm, but Beta Adam already told her that King Zed wouldn’t be returning until the following day.
The words Elena/ Madam Lucas told her. What she told her about the mate bond and how it works kept replaying in her head.
“When you find your inevitable mate. The mate moon goddess has gotten you, and you’ll find yourself falling deeply in love with him. The mate bond will always pull you towards him, and your wolf will keep repeating the word -mate- to you.” she continued.
“Your wolf will equally feel drawn to him. She’ll want to also be with him all the time. She’ll want for his mark to rest on her body. The need for him to claim her will overwhelm her as time goes by.” Serena thinks even deeply about what madam Elena said to her.
“Even your fated mate’s scent will be so alluring, and you’ll get drunk in it every time you perceive the smell. After meeting and acknowledging your mate, I mean, you both will complete and recognize each other as mates. After that, then, you’ll enter the first stage of what we call ‘heat,’ it’s a process whereby you’ll want to be sexually involved with him. Everything he does will end up arousing you, even when he blinks.
“That stage will also get you overprotective of him. You’ll want to be around him and protect him, and you’ll also get jealous, I mean incredibly jealous, when you see him conversing with another lady. I’ll advise you to stay inside your room throughout the process, and you won’t be able to handle it outside your room or his room.
“Did I forget to mention that your body will remain hot for those days when you’ll be passing through the ‘heat’ stage?
That stage also allows you to conceive easily. You could get pregnant with one-minute intercourse during that time.”
Elena kept narrating, and Serena kept listening in disbelief and amusement. Hearing all these made her wonder if they were true or not.
But the main thing bothering her right now is that she has only seen the -mate- characters with King Zed.
It was funny and unbelievable. She doesn’t want to believe it, but she also thinks of why he sent her to Elena in the first place. He probably wants me to learn that he is my mate. Why would he send me if not for that reason? Serena thought and scoffed.
But mate? This is unbelievable. How can a king be my mate…? How can the powerful king Zed be my mate? It made her worry a lot.
Her head was starting to become hot, and she became a little sick from thinking. She went to bed and closed her eyes to sleep.

Serena opened her eyes when she felt someone touch her thighs. When she saw that someone was in the room with her, she jumped and tried fighting off whoever it was.
The room was gloomy, and the person was dressed in all black. Even the person’s scent has been concealed. She fought in the dark, and she could see the figure clearly with the help of her wolf.
She tried bringing the person down, but the person pushed her against her wall; she hit her head and felt a pang of pain, but it was gone the next second. The light came on before she could make the next move. She stilled and stared as the intruder removed his hoodie.
Her mouth fell open immediately.
“You…. your Highness?” She whispered, really shocked.
“You fight well.” King Zed flattered her as he walked back to her bed to sit.
Serena blinked her eyes and arranged her dress well before coming to stand in front of him.
“I don’t want my soul to be weak, and I hate weakness. I don’t want that for my mate.” King Zed informed, staring at her dress.
Serena shifted back at the word ‘mate.’
“Your… your Highness?” She whispered.
“Is it true? Am I your mate?” Serena asked.
King Zed lifted his eyes to stare into hers. Suddenly feelings and things Serena hadn’t felt before, she started feeling the way she had never felt before, but it was similar to the one at the elevator. Her eyes sparkled, her eyes colors changed to blue and gold, her wolf came out and stared at King Zed.
“What is she telling you? What are your wolf and your body telling you?” King Zed asked.
Serena opened her mouth to speak, but it just continued shaking, her limbs became weak, and she almost fell, but King Zed was quick to hold her.
Unknown cracks rolled down her cheek.
“But.. but how is that possible…? You are a king and… and…” Serena stuttered.
King Zed pulled her into a warm embrace.
“I know. I also thought the same thing. How is that possible? I still haven’t gotten a real answer, but King’s are also wolves without that title.”
A pause. “I was so mad that my wolf was attracted to a slave, a weak she-wolf, I was so angry, and I tried hating you for that. I mean, I hated you, especially for that reason, but ending up getting attracted to you myself. Funny. I don’t even know when it started, but right now, asking the question -how- is not that important.” he continued.
“What is important to me right now is that a pure soul, an innocent little wolf like you, was sent to heal and set my demons at the bar. That’s what matters.”
