THE CEO ALPHA KING (-Tears of relief-)
Writer’s P O V
A few hours earlier. King Zed had landed; there was a car already waiting to take him. He got into the car with his Beta. His face looks stern as always.
Beta Adam asked him if he would head straight to his castle first, but he told him he wanted to do the thing he came back for urgently.
Beta Adam gave the driver the location of the private estate, and the driver took off. On the way, Beta Adam kept making calls to the king’s different guards and the werewolf soldiers.
One hour and some minutes later, they approached the private estate Serena was being held. Close to the estate was Kendrick’s car. Isaac and his friends stayed and waited for king Zed. Isaac was never going to leave there until his sister was safe. Isaac is in a panic state. His face shows a lot of anguish.
“Look at that car,” Grey said, pointing behind him.
Isaac and Kendrick both turned back to see the oncoming vehicle.
“I think it’s the king’s vehicle. Look at the model and everything, and I’ve seen that Benz before in his garage.” Kendrick said with an autocratic face.
They all kept looking until the driver came closer, and the car stopped at Beta Adam’s command. He came down from the vehicle and allowed the driver to continue without him.
They said king Zed was to come alone.
Issac and Kendrick both came out from the car once they saw Beta Adam.
“I suspected it was her brother that sent that text,” Beta Adam said while glancing at both Isaac and Kendrick. He pulled out his phone and talked some more before keeping his phone in his trouser pocket.
“Why is the king going in alone? We should go with him.” Isaac suggested.
“No, the king can handle himself perfectly, though. We still need those soldiers that will properly arrest the ones that will remain alive for questioning,” Beta Adam replied.
Soon the soldier’s trucks came into view, they stopped behind Kendrick’s car, and the commander came down.
“Let’s go in. It’s been a few minutes already,” Beta Adam said, going over to the truck.
“Wait, should we go in with you guys?” Isaac asked.
“I’ll advise you to stay far away. The king told you not to go anywhere near her, right? Go home.” Beta Adam ordered before getting into the truck. The driver of the car took off.
“Let’s go, and I trust King Zed will save your sister,” Kendrick said to Isaac before entering his car and started it.
Isaac reluctantly enters Kendrick’s car. “I want to see her face and make sure that she is okay. I guess I can’t do that,” Isaac mumbled and sighed.
“Sorry, man. Maybe next time you’ll be able to see her, Kendrick patted Isaac’s shoulder.
“I agree with Kendrick. The most important thing now is that she is safe and sound.” Gray added from the back. Then they left the vicinity.
Previously, Serena took out few cooking ingredients, and she set her mind on preparing just two of the king’s favorite dishes. She knows she can’t train all six in just one hour, and she can’t risk trying to prepare all and end up with nothing in an hour.
So she settled for two. She watches time constantly in the sitting room as she prepares chicken soup and white rice with some veggies.
Few minutes before her time expired, she dished the rice and chicken soup into two plates. She placed a glass of chilled water on the tray and carried them all to the dining.
She asked the guard there to inform king Zed that she had rounded up preparing his meal. She went back into the kitchen to make him a glass of coffee since he liked drinking coffee.
When she was serving the coffee, king Zed walked out of the elevator.
Serena moved away from the meal anxiously. She doesn’t know his reaction, and she hopes that he doesn’t get too mad at her.
“So, what have you cooked?” King Zed asked without glancing at her.
“Chicken soup and rice, your highness. I couldn’t cook all your dishes within an hour; I apologize.” Serena bowed apologetically.
King Zed didn’t say a word to her. He opened up the dish to look at the rice and the chicken soup.
“So you didn’t serve your punishment well either. Which other punishment should I give you?” King Zed asked in a firm tone that didn’t sound too angry or too cool either.
Serena’s head remained bowed. She didn’t utter a word.
King Zed took up the spoon and, for the very first time, ate a meal prepared by Serena. He ate about four spoons, drank a little bit of the chicken’s soup then dropped the spoon. He made to leave but then saw the coffee she made that was still very hot.
He took up the coffee cup and took a sip from it. It tasted sweeter this time. “How much sugar did you add?” He asked with a stern look.
Serena lifted her head to stare at him, surprised by his question. “I added two, your Highness.* She supplied the answer.
“I want you to add two sugars to my coffee from now on, expect I tell you otherwise.” King Zed instructed.
“Yes, your Highness,” Serena replied. Then he stood up to leave. He paused.
“About your brother, he was the one who told us where they held you. I guess you can go see him only for four hours,” King Zed groaned before walking out from the dining room.
Serena kept staring at him, stunned.
Did he permit me to see Isaac? He didn’t even get mad that I didn’t make all his dishes. He gave me a minor punishment, and he-he saved me. Has he stopped hating me or what? The king keeping me himself means that. I thought he was all devilish.
I can see my brother. The thought excited her. She packed up the plates and the remaining meal. She went into the kitchen and washed the dishes before leaving for her room.
When she got to her room, she bathed, changed her dress, combed her hair before leaving the room. She didn’t have a phone anymore, so she went to the mini-mansion and burrowed one of the female servant’s phones. The servant kept staring strangely at her as she used her phone. She dialed Isaac’s number and called him. He picked up at the second to the last ring.
“Hello Isaac, it’s me, Serena,” Serena said into the phone.
“Serena? Is that you?” Isaac asked from the other side sounding excited.
“Yes, it’s me, Isaac. I don’t have a phone anymore, and I borrowed someone’s phone to call you. King Zed told me you were the one who gave them the location of where Martin abducted me,” Serena said.
“Yeah, I did. I’m sorry I couldn’t save you earlier. How are you doing?” Isaac asked.
“I’m good. I miss you,” Serena voiced out her feelings.
“I miss you too. It’s a pity I couldn’t see you today, and I wanted to see you.”Isaac breathed out.
“King Zed permitted me to see you but only got four hours. Can you come to pick me up at the castle?” Serena begged.
“Really? Does he do that? I’ll be right there. Give me thirty minutes,” Isaac rushed his words before hanging up the phone. Serena smiled and returned the phone to its owner before leaving the mini-mansion. She went back into her room and started waiting.

Isaac was with Kendrick and Grey, having a drink not too far from the king’s castle. Issac looks like a mess, and he hates that he wasn’t able to see his sister. He wondered if she was okay.
The call brought him back to the real world; he reluctantly picked the call from the unknown number calling him but then broke into a wild smile when he realized that it was his sister.
After dropping the call, he asked Kendrick for his car keys.
“Where are you going to?” Ken asked.
“To meet up with Serena. Hand me your keys,” Isaac requested and grabbed the keys before Kendrick could even hand it to him.
He ran out of the bar and went straight to the mall to get a new phone for Serena before turning and heading to the castle. He got to the king’s court 31 minutes after the call.
He explained the reasons why he was at the castle to the guards at the front gate. They hesitated a bit, but since they already knew Isaac, they let him enter. He passed the second and third gate before sighting Serena. He smiled again at her sight.
He had missed her. He parked the car at a corner and came. Serena, who noticed him, started running towards him; they met halfway and embraced each other tightly.
“Oh gosh. My goddess, I’ve missed you so much.” Isaac mumbled as he hugged Serena tightly.
“I’ve missed you too, Isaac. I really can’t do things right without you, can I?” Serena said, almost in tears.
“Let’s go. Let’s get out of here. Let’s go to a private place where we can talk freely,” Isaac disengaged from the hug. He pulled her towards Kendrick’s car and got in with her.
He reversed and left the castle, headed straight to his and Kendrick’s apartment.

Beta Adam entered king Zed’s chambers and saw him standing by the window, looking down. He seemed more interested in what he was looking for.
Beta Adam cleared his voice to attract king Zed’s attention, but he didn’t still acknowledge his presence. Beta Adam curiously moved closer to the window to peep at what made king Zed so focused.
He caught the sight of Isaac entering the car with Serena. His brows furrowed in confusion.
What is Isaac doing here? Why is Serena going with him? Where on earth are they going to, and why isn’t king Zed saying anything about it? Different questions kept moving through his mind.
“Your Highness. Your slave is leaving the castle; did you perhaps permit her?” Beta Adam asked.
“Does it look like I’m not aware of the situation?” King Zed grunted out in displease.
“I’m sorry.” Beta Adam apologized but was over-shocked.
He must have given her his permission to leave the castle. Wow! I didn’t expect that he could be changing this fast. I thought it was going to be slow. King Zed turned to look at his Beta.
Beta Adam snapped out of his thoughts and coughed. “Uh- we have all the remaining men of Declan at the soldier’s camp. The soldiers are guarding them while waiting for your orders.
Declan and his son are at the dungeon. They have to eat wolfsbane, and they are secured heavily,” Beta Adam reported.
“Good. Could you not give a single grain of rice? Starve them but keep giving them wolfsbane. Declan’s son already knows the corners of the castle, and he might be cooking up something in his head now. Make sure he doesn’t get out from there.” King Zed instructed.
“Yes, your Highness,” Beta Adam nodded in response.

Isaac arrived at his apartment 1 hour later. He kept asking Serena how she was doing and whether Martins had hurt her in any way. Serena could only smile and respond that he didn’t get what he wanted.
“I’m just so happy that I’m speaking and seeing you at the same time,” Serena could tear up and say. Isaac could nod in understanding.
They came down from the vehicle. Isaac texted Kendrick not to return home because he wanted to spend time with Serena alone. Serena looked around the sitting room the moment she entered.
“Woah, the sitting room looks so boyish.” Serena complimented.
Isaac chuckled. “Of course. We are guys. Do you expect the house to be in pink and yellow?” Isaac teased.
They both laughed.
“I’m so happy to be able to speak with you again,” Serena said for the tenth time. She looks so delighted. Her smile reaches both sides of her ears.
