THE CEO ALPHA KING (-Using her-)

Martins stepped out from the restaurant with Serena by his side after eating the meal he bought her.
He has been thinking, thinking of a way to make things work his way. His father has instructed him to make sure Serena trusts him hundred percent. To make sure Serena will do anything for him. Seeing Serena now, he is not sure how he will make Serena do all the things he says.
Since all this is about making her hate and feel revengeful towards king Zed, should I move on straight to making her hate the king? I could use a few things. But I need something solid. What exactly should I use? Should I take her to dad? Dad might know what to do with her. Yes! Let me take her to dad, Martins concluded in his mind.
“Martins. Martins!” Serena shook Martins’s arm.
“Yes,” Martins turned sharply towards Serena.
“I’ve been calling you for minutes now. What were you thinking of?” Serena asked.
“No, nothing. Just thinking about visiting my sick dad before taking you back to the castle. Should I do that?” Martins turned to look at her with pleading eyes.
“Yes, sure,” Serena let out.
“Okay, thanks. Let me give his nurse a call first,” Martins smiled at her before pulling his phone out. He dialed his dad’s number as he came down from the car. His dad picked the call, passing on the information he wanted to give before disconnecting the call.
He entered back into the vehicle and drove Serena to his house. Serena felt anxious all the way. She doesn’t know if she made a mistake telling Martins to go ahead and see his father or not. Probably because she never met his father, the reason why she allowed him.
Martins pulled over in front of a mansion, then came down from the car. Serena kept staring around confusedly. What are we doing here? She wondered as she watched Martins twirl. He came to her door and opened it for her to step down.
“What is this place?” Serena finally voiced out.
“This place?” Martins looked around.
“Oh, it’s my uncle’s house. He left the house to my dad before his death.” Martins answered.
“So, isn’t your dad at the hospital. Why are we here instead?” Serena asked again.
“Uh… my dad hates the smell of hospital a lot, so we moved him back to his cabin after spending three days at the hospital,” Martins explained.
“Oh,” Serena nodded, feeling sorry.
Martins escorted Serena into the vast mansion. Serena’s mouth remained open throughout the journey to Martin’s father’s bedroom.
They arrived at his father’s cabin and stopped. “I’ll wait for you here. Go ahead,” Serena mumbled to him.
“No, of course not. When I got out of the car, I informed him that I would be coming with one pretty lady that I knew. He told me to bring her, even tho he is seriously sick and dying, my dad still wants the best for me,” Martins chuckled.
A blush spread across Serena’s face. Pretty lady? She asked herself silently.
“So, let’s go inside together, okay?” Martins squeezed her arm and waited for her to speak.
“Okay,” Serena nodded her head once in acknowledgment. Martins opened the door afterward and entered with Serena.
Serena quickly went to sit down on the sofa in the large room. Her eyes fixed on the sick man lying on the bed with a bandage covering his whole body. She felt pity for Martins and his dad. She watched as Martins sat down beside his dad on the bed.
Martins took his father’s hand and squeezed it. “Hi Dad, I’m here,” Martins spoke softly. The older man opened his eyes and coughed a little.
“Oh, you are here? Where is that beautiful lady you said you were coming with?” His dad asked.
Serena quickly got up on her feet, thankful that she was putting on something presentable for once in her life. “Come here, Serena,” Martins beckoned on her.
Serena changed positions on her legs and soon found herself standing beside the sick man. “Hello, sir, good day,” she greeted, feeling very nervous. She has never done something like this before.
“Hello daughter-in-law, sit down, please,” the older man urged her to sit with a forced smile on his face.
“Oh… okay,” She shook her head. She sat down on a plastic chair behind her.
“So, how are you? I’ve heard so much about you from my son,” the older man said.
“I’m fine, sir,” Serena replied. She looked straight into the man’s eyes, and a look of familiarity crossed her eyes.
I’ve seen this man before. But where? Where did I see him? Serena is thinking to herself.
“Oh, I see. You look so beautiful, and my son has such great taste in women. Not that he has brought any woman home before, you are the first, and I hope you’ll be the last,” the man coughed a little after saying.
“Huh,” Serena looked up at the smiling Martins confusedly.
“It’s true. I have never brought a lady home before. You are the first. I’m glad my sick father remembered even when he is very ill,” Martins sighed sadly at the end.
Serena looked down at the older man again. She caught him staring intensely at her. It made her cringe.
I have seen him before. But where? She kept asking herself. He doesn’t sound sick either. Maybe he is getting much better. I want him to get better so that Martins will stop working at the king’s castle. Serena hoped.
Not that she hated the fact that Martins was working for the king. She doesn’t want history to repeat itself. She doesn’t want to put Martin’s life in danger because of her, and he had also told her that he would protect her in place of her brother. She wants him to be safe and nothing more.
“You see, I might not survive this, so will you please look after my son for me after I’m gone?” The older man spoke again.
Serena snapped her head up to look at the man.
“Dad!!” Martins exclaimed.
“You see, son, I’m just telling the truth. King Zed doesn’t want me to live, and he wants me dead. Even if I survive this one, he will surely come back for me. That is what you get from pissing the king off,” the older man said as he stared at Martins.
“That won’t happen. I won’t let anything happen to you. I’ll plead with the king to forgive and let you live. Instead, I’ll work for him forever,” Martins said, looking desperate.
Serena kept staring at father and son in total confusion. What are they chatting about? King Zed doesn’t want him to live?
What’re all these?
“So, you see, my daughter-in-law. Please take care of him for me. I might look so strong now, but I’m not strong. I’m dying, and when I finally pass away, I want you to be beside my son and console him. We only have each other. I’ve lost my wife and daughter. My daughter died because of school bullies, while my wife died because she pissed off king Zed the same way I pissed him off. But I can’t help it; I’ve been trying to keep my anger for him at a bar for so many years, but every time I see him, I remember my dead wife who was smothered to death. I’ve missed her a lot too. It’s time I see her again,” the older man coughed again at the end of his words.
Serena remained shocked, and she just kept staring at the man who faked his death. “Could you stop it? Stop saying all these. Serena, please let me escort you down,” Martins stood up, looking anger.
He grabbed Serena, then pulled her out from the room and down to the kitchen area of the enormous mansion.
“Stay here. I’ll soon be back for you. When I get back, then we can leave.” Martins declared, then turned to leave.
“Wait,” Serena grabbed his hand. Martins turned to face Serena again.
“What did your father just say? You are serving the king because of your father. Not because you need money,” Serena asked, staring curiously at him.
“No, don’t mind my dying father. He is old, and he tends to mix things up,” Martins forced a smile at her. He turned to leave again, but Serena proceeded to hold him tight.
“Please tell me. What are all these? Is it true? King Zed wants your father dead?” Serena asked. Martins squeezed his eyes tight until he was teary, then he looked down at Serena.
“Will tell you to change anything? My father will still die just the way my mom and sister died,” Martins mumbled, sounding very heartbroken.
Serena gasped a bit and let go of Martins. “I’m sorry,” she murmured, taking her eyes to the floor.
“Hey, it’s okay. None of these is your fault. The king has been killing ever since he ascended the throne, my mom is not the first neither will she be the last. He is the king anyway, and he’ll continue killing even though they are all virtuous,” Martins stated sadly.
“Okay, I’ll go up and talk to my father. You shouldn’t have heard all that you heard. I’m sorry,” Martins apologized before leaving.
Serena sat down on the kitchen stool there, feeling so bad. Martins got to his father’s room and shut the door. He was glad that his father’s room was soundproof and Serena wouldn’t be able to hear a word they said.
“The girl is quite naive. She is our best shot,” Martins father laughed.
“She believed everything, and she is even feeling kind of guilty. You know you won’t hurt her at the end, dad. I don’t want her getting hurt, and you know that,” Martins said.
“I know that. I know. But why? I mean, the girl is destined to be Zed’s savior. She is in this world because of him,” the older man said.
“What do you mean by that?” Martins asked, getting curious.
The older man clicked his tongue twice. “You shouldn’t know but don’t think of developing feelings for. You won’t have her at the end. I’m just advising you against heartbreaks,” the older man replied.
“Your advice came too late,” Martins mumbled. The older looked at him for a while, and he shook his head.
“You will understand pretty soon. You should have been more curious why she is our only weapon to get the king. ” he continued.
“Being our only weapon, and I will tell you a lot of things. Get brighter, be more competent. You couldn’t even get her on your own, and you had to bring her here for me to do it. Well, I’m glad, but pray she doesn’t recognize me and go blab it to her brother or the king himself.” The older man scolded.
“You can leave with her now. Take her back and watch very her closely. Make sure you learn everything that goes on between Zed and her. Leave now,” the older man waved at him.
Martins sighed.
“Okay, I’ll leave now. Take care of yourself,” Martins mumbled, heading for the door.
He opened the door and went out. He descended the stairs and to Serena, still sitting in the kitchen, looking lost in thought. Martins fixed his fingers into his trouser pocket and focused his gaze on Serena.
Right. What are you? Why are you the only weapon that can take down king Zed? Martins thought while looking at her. What is your relationship with king Zed? I’m dying to know.
I hope it’s not intimate because I’ll love to have you for myself. You are one pure, innocent girl. I need your type, but there is no pure and bright again. What can I do? I’ll have to get you for myself at all costs.
