Sophia’s POV
“Sophia, we need to get out of here. The smell is getting stronger.” Ben gasps for air, and opens the door. Beckoning to me, I still sit on the bed.
“He is an harmless Vampire but do not annoy him, and once he tells you to run, halt immediately!” Rose’s words rush into my memory. Obeying my memory, I stand up and meet him. He holds my hand, and we move outside, skipping some tiles. Once we open the door, I see Max waiting for someone behind. I tell Ben this, and we take another route. We enter into the kitchen, and come out. I can see ‘Dis Kitchenette.” Why is Ben and mom so similar? Like. Tf. Ben opens the door, pushes me outside, comes behind and shut the door. His gaze is scary, and I am very scared right now. He handles my hands, and run with it. A sudden cold tap makes me look back. Mum’s or Rose’s?
The two give cold tap. I look back and see a dark green eye on a monster’s face. One eye. And it is dark green.
“Oh gosh! She’s here!” I exclaim. Ben slumps as he looks back. Soon, he regains his energy and we halt. Thank goodness the monster did not follow us behind.
“It is not Rose. It is a monster.” He says, gasping alongside.
“What kind?” I ask.
“I don’t know!” He yells. I guess he doesn’t want me to know his Identity. Or Else, he would shift and fight Rose and Max. I am still unsure if he is a Wolf, Vampire, or hybrid like Rose. Still unsure for Max too but I am sure that Robert is a Vampire!
“Can’t you just shift, and tackle your enemy?” I act as if I don’t know who he is running away from.
“Shift?” He shrivels, and almost slumps.
I grab hold of him, and he jerks alive once more.
“Who are you? A Wolf, A Vampire, or an hybrid?” I ask him. He gesticulates a pain in the ass but I am bent on knowing this moment.
“She is almost here. If you don’t tell me, I’ll hand you over to her.” I say. “At least, you will be forced to shift. He sighs.
“Imagine my so-called mate hiding his identity from me.”
“I’m not 21 yet.” He looks for a flimsy excuse.
“It does not mean. Not at all! Besides, you shifted that day that you brought me to your house. Didn’t you?” He stretches his hand to the nape of my neck but I hold it.
“You want to make me lose my memory?” I tell him, smirking.
“What… What… What the fuck!” He yells, and he grows an irritating fur on his head. He starts shifting. His feet becomes cold, and it turns into claws. His hands become paralyzed and normal again, elongating into a thick rough flabby dark skin. His face has elongated too. He shouts at the top of his voice, and now I have a picture of his shifting, in my memory. Just then, a beast appears. I notice that Max is waiting for the beast at an angle, and he is screaming: “Debe, careful!”
Debe? That’s Rose’s Vampire. She comes near Ben and Ben moves near her. They growl at each other repeatedly that the sound soon fill the whole surroundings. I run through the other angle, to go meet Max. But before I ran, I see that Ben and Rose look alike. Ben is a Vampire but an harmless one. Rose too, no, Debe, is a Vampire but harmless.
I sigh and run to meet Max. Max comes running towards me too, and he gives me a tight hug.
“Where have you been?” He says, peering into my face.
“With… With…” I stutter. “With Ben.”
“Never walk with that Vampire again. Okay?”
“Okay, Max.” I smile and he forces a smile too.
“Where is Rose?” I ask.
“Rose is in her hostel.” He answers, and I shudder. Pointing to that direction, he directs his gaze at me.
“Why?” I ask him. “Why are you staring at me?”
He smiles. He widens it.
“Call her Debe for now.” He replies, and cuddles me. I blush and smile sheepishly.
“She’s fighting Ben.” He says again. The Cologne grew much stronger than it has ever been. I sniff it and he notices it.
“I can’t wait to have you as my mate.” He says, and I shut my eyes. I open it again, and blink multiple times.
“What?” I ask him, letting go of my shoulders and arms and hair.
“I can’t wait to have you as a mate.” He replies, straight faced.
“I am not your mate.” I retort, bluntly. “I am Ben’s mate.
“What the hell are you talking about?” He says, expressionlessly. “Stop joking me.”
“It’s not a joke. Can we have a different conversation?”
“Sophia, I am the upcoming Alpha of the Moon Struck Pack Team. Don’t you want to be my Luna?” He stoops low, and looks up at me.
“But…” I stutter. “I am not 18 yet.”
“I will keep you in my abode…”
“That I don’t want.” I cut in.
“Then, let’s get to another town.”
“And I’ll stop schooling?”
“I will register you in another school.” He retorts.
“Are you joking? Max, don’t play with me.” I reply. “And what about your registration to be an Alpha?”
“Moonstruck pack team are everywhere in this country, and continent.” He says, softly and a bit quick.
“Imagine being a Luna that commands a whole continent?”
I chuckle, and tell him: “I can’t get mated to a Vampire.”
“I am not a Vampire.” He clips.
“Proofs?” I snort, facing an opposite direction.
Before he can reply, we see Rose coming in a direction. We run to meet her, and we see that she is half-naked, tired, and groggy.
“Max, I will help her get home.” I tell him, covering Rose’s chest.
“Okay. Good Luck! You got to be watchful! ” He replies, and hurries home. “Colognes!”
I heard “Cologne”, or what did he say?
“Rose, how was it?”Well, I ask her but her expression suddenly changes.
“Shifting again?”
“No.” She returns to her normal being, but keeps frowning at me, and jerking my hands off her chest.
“Did Max ask you out?” She asks, and my forehead furrows.
“Did he?!” She yells, and pushes me to the ground. My head falls on top of a cemented brick, making a loud thud.
“I did not give him my consent.” I mutter.
“Robert, Max, Ben.” She names them. “Out of your life!” She yells.
I look up.
“Out of your life or you get out of life instead.” She repeats, darting towards the cemented brick, gesticulating a fist with her cute hands.
