Elena Bush’s pupils shook and flashed with panic.
Abbie saw it for real and the smirk on her face suddenly deepened a few notches, “See, I was right, this brat is your child!”
“You drop the kid and I’ll give you whatever you want!”
“I won’t trust you again.”
Abbie’s force kept tightening and took a few steps backwards in quick succession.
Harvey didn’t struggle, he just smiled at Elena Bush and said in a milky voice, “Mummy, don’t be afraid, I’ll be fine, you go and find Daddy ……”
“How could I possibly leave you alone!”
“I’m really okay.”
Harvey reassured.
Elena Bush still couldn’t agree easily and panic and trepidation flashed across her face along with her.
Abbie couldn’t help but shake her head at the scene before her, “What a touching scene, it makes me feel sad for you.”
“Don’t you pretend to be here!”
“So what?” Abbie laughed harshly, “Elena Bush, I’m sure it wasn’t pleasant at all, was it?”
Elena Bush squeezed her palms together and didn’t say a word.
Abbie grimaced and rushed at her, “I need the car now, you get Logan Brown to get me out of that car right now or give me the keys to this car!”
“You’re taking the kid?”
“Or do you think I would have left him behind?”
This was the only leverage she had at hand, how could she give up so easily?
Elena Bush gritted her teeth and just looked at her for a long time without saying anything.
Abbie was in no hurry, just whispered, “Of course, if you don’t want to, I don’t mind just letting the boy die here!”
“No!”
Elena Bush took a few steps back, all the looks on her face following suit.
“I promise you, as long as you leave the child alone.”
“I can spare him.”
Elena Bush’s face snapped up with joy, but before she could rejoice, Abbie spoke again.
“Just not until I’m safe and sound, at least.”
Elena Bush pursed her pink lips in a flash of annoyance.
Abbie hooked her lips, “Elena Bush, this is a deal, and although I didn’t get my way this time, I know that once I have nothing under my belt you guys certainly won’t let me go either.”
She knew better than anyone, and knew more about how Logan Brown was.
“Good!” She nodded immediately. “You have my word.”
Abbie’s tense nerves finally relaxed, “Don’t worry, I won’t do anything to the baby, I still want to live, so I won’t be stupid enough to kill the boy.”
Elena Bush was half convinced, not convinced, but she had no choice but to do as she was told.
Not far away Logan Brown and Blanche had noticed the commotion, and Blanche was shocked and full of remorse.
Elena Bush leaned into Logan Brown’s ear and whispered, “She wants the car.”
Harvey threw a smile back at Logan Brown, “Daddy, take care of Mummy and don’t let her worry about me.”
“Harvey!”
Elena Bush scolded angrily, her face hardened to the point where the words sounded like an explanation of her afterlife.
Logan Brown silently wrapped his arms around Elena Bush’s waist and handed over the car keys without moving, “You can go, but if anything happens to the baby, I’ll never let you go even if your father is God!”
Abbie gulped as she listened.
Once in the car Abbie put Harvey in the passenger seat, her face all scowling and threatening, “Listen to me, you better not pull any tricks or I won’t care even if your daddy says anything!”
“Mmm.”
The little one whispered in response, with a scared look on his face.
Elena Bush watched the car drive away, and only then did she feel as if her whole body had been stripped of its strength, relying on Logan Brown for support.
“Logan Brown, what do we do now?”
She should have just gone along, leaving Harvey as a child with Abbie, as if anything could happen, and she couldn’t help but panic at the thought.
Blanche blamed herself so much that she didn’t dare to look up and kept apologising to the pair, “I’m sorry, it’s all my fault, if it wasn’t for me Harvey wouldn’t have ……”
“No, it’s my fault, it’s all my fault for not protecting him properly!”
Why hadn’t she looked at him more that time? Even one look and she would have spotted Abbie’s approach immediately.
“There.” Logan Brown rubbed the top of her head, “Don’t blame yourself, it’s happened, no amount of talking about it will help, now think about where she’ll go first.”

She had no choice but to go back to kirk Burne!
Elena Bush clenched her teeth wordlessly.
Logan Brown patted her shoulder soothingly and his thin lips followed on her forehead, “Don’t be afraid, Harvey’s always been smart, he won’t let himself get screwed.”

“There are no buts, you just need to go home with Blanche and leave the rest to me.”
The man’s voice was as gentle as if it carried a unique magic, inexplicably soothing the restless heart of the moment.
But Elena Bush was still reluctant to agree to leave so easily, and her small hands clung to his, “I’m not going, I want to stay with you!”
Blanche looked down and held the small of her back, “I’m not leaving either, I’m the one who caused the trouble and I should take it.”
“By the way, those people must know where kirk Burne’s house is!”
Elena Bush then remembered the three men who had been tackled by Logan Brown and also Blanche.
Logan Brown couldn’t argue with her and complied, while on the other hand he started flipping out his phone and turned on the locator installed on Harvey himself, and within a few moments the red dot of the target on it appeared on the phone moving constantly.
Blanche and Elena Bush instantly forgot to question the three men in front of them, and all of them showed a glow of joy.
“So, do we know exactly where Harvey is?”
“Well, you could say that.”
Elena Bush was filled with joy and reassurance as she realised for the first time that Logan Brown’s preparations were really working.
This way at least they would know exactly where Harvey was, or where he was going.
The sirens came a short time later and the three burly men were immediately twirled into the car, unable to escape, and Kent was late in hearing the news when he could not wait to slap himself twice.
“It’s my fault!”
He hadn’t broken Abbie’s heart, so he’d let her think there was hope for her after all!
Logan Brown’s composure was unusual, his gloomy eyes falling on the red dot for a long time without reaction.
