Vincent had been worried and Blanche quickly calmed him down until she saw that he had calmed down before handing him over to the dean and getting up to find Kent.
Blanche searched for a long time and finally found him on the roof of the main building, she took a slight breather before coming forward, “What happened earlier, perhaps I didn’t distinguish clearly, I apologise.”
It was true that she hadn’t experienced it or seen it, as he had said, and that was why she had been angry at first at his ungracious attitude towards Vincent.
But after calming down and thinking about it, she vaguely understood something. Everyone’s life is different, but there are also people who are still strong enough to grit their teeth and endure even in the face of that miserable life ……
Kent turned around and swept her off her feet, “You don’t have to apologize to me, I’m just angry with myself.”
He had never known he could be so petty as to take it up with a child. Obviously he had never been mean to Vincent a word before then, and even continued to feel sorry for him, and this time …… was his impulse.
“But you wouldn’t have taken it to heart if it wasn’t for the fact that I said the wrong thing.” She stepped forward and sat down on his side, “Kent, I don’t know what your life is really like, but I know you work hard.”
She had seen him stay up all night in the office for several consecutive nights just to solve the company’s crisis as quickly as possible, and she had seen his calmness and composure when dealing with clients, never humbled or cowed in any way ……
Kent pulled the corners of his mouth, “People who don’t work hard in this world don’t have anything left to live for except for their natural superiority and the people around them who help them, and sooner or later they will be eliminated from this world!”
In order not to be trampled on by others, he had to choose to work his way up.
Blanche hung her head, not answering.
Kent sighed lightly, “Actually, you don’t have to take my words to heart, I was just saying something in the heat of the moment, and I’ll have to go back and apologise to Vincent later to do that.”
“It’s okay, Vincent didn’t care, he was just worried that it was his cowardice that had upset you.”
“No .” He turned his head and smiled at her, having long since taken back the cold colour he had worn, “I was asking too much, I shouldn’t measure anyone by my standards, he’s just a kid after all and shouldn’t be forced.”
Vincent and he were different after all, he could continue to be naive as a child, and he couldn’t at that time ……
It was also because of an impulsive moment that they were confused with each other, and when I thought about it, I had gone too far.
“Kent ……” Blanche looked at him in the same way, she didn’t address him specifically, she just called him by his first name.
The latter blinked his eyes and looked over in confusion.
“You don’t always need to think of yourself as only one person, I’m your assistant and the company’s right hand man, and no matter what …… I’m not going to walk away from you, so you’re not alone in your efforts or your struggles!” Blanche squeezed her palms together and spoke firmly, but her voice was as soft as if a gust of wind had scattered it.
Kent didn’t move for a long time, not knowing if he had taken her words in or if he hadn’t heard anything at all.
Blanche’s heart suddenly felt weak as she stared at him, hastily averting her eyes as she quickly got up and patted her body, “Right, we should go back too, right? If we don’t go back, Dean will be worried if he can’t find anyone.”
Kent withdrew his eyes unsteadily, an unknown mood rushing through him, making it impossible for him to tell for a moment what it was really like.
“Sir Lewis?” cried Blanche tentatively.
Kent quickly snapped back to forget her, “Don’t call me Mr Lewis in private, didn’t you just shout it quite smoothly Kent?”
“That ……”
Blanche blushed, thinking he was offended immediately explained, “That was just a moment of excitement, that’s why ……”
“If you’re calling it that, then just call it that in private, out in the open and calling it Mr Lewis, people will just think it’s weird when they hear it.”
Kent got up and patted his body, a flash of the feel of the woman’s soft little hand against his back through the thin fabric.
Blanche, on the other hand, was oblivious, only hesitating about something.
The hostility between his eyebrows dissipated and he hammered home, “Okay, I’m your boss, so do what you’re told, got it?”
“Oh.” As soon as this status was brought out Blanche had no room to refuse and had to nod her head and say, “I understand.”
“Come on.” He naturally grabbed her hand and headed downstairs.
Blanche subconsciously shook it off and the latter turned as she explained with a look of embarrassment, “I’m sorry, I just didn’t feel comfortable going downstairs.”
His demeanour would only give away how he was feeling at the moment, and that was something he couldn’t know about.
Kent shrugged, looking as if he hadn’t taken it to heart.
The two smiled at each other, but the atmosphere remained a little weird, and fortunately they soon came downstairs and bumped into the dean who came looking for them.
The two of them, shoulder to shoulder, fell into the dean’s eyes, so she couldn’t help but look like she understood and nodded and joked, “I said why are they all missing for good reason, it turns out ……”
“Dean!” Blanche, fearing she had said the wrong thing, hastily shouted anxiously, “Where’s Vincent? He should be all right now too.”
“He’s fine, he’s behaving well, he even took the initiative to talk to some of the children earlier, he seems to be looking away from his last accident.” Dean’s mind was immediately pulled away and he couldn’t help but give a knowingly light smile.
Blanche nodded and followed suit with a dark, relieved smile, “That’s good.”
Kent followed suit and nodded, “I’ll go check on him, just so I can apologise to him as well.”
“Apologise?” Dean looked confused, “What’s going on here?”
“This ……”
Blanche smiled sarcastically, a little embarrassed, “It’s a long story, it’s not clear for a while, so it’s better not to talk about it.”
At that, the dean just waved his hand, “But even if something happens, it’s okay, my children are very understanding, they won’t hold grudges, they will forget in a flash if there’s a conflict or something, there’s no need for me to worry too much.”
The headmistress smiled at the mention of the incident with a cheerful face.
As Blanche listened, she could not help but think that perhaps the children felt her gentleness and that was why they were so harmonious.
The dean did not know what was on her mind and took the two of them straight to Vincent.
