THIRD PERSON POINT OF VIEW.
Marcus stared at Jody in confusion.
How could someone change their mind so suddenly? He understood how spontaneous Jody could be but he couldn’t quite put a finger on why she changed her mind so abruptly. While he was leaving her office few minutes ago, he thought they were really over until she called him back, accepting his offer for them to talk, and eat.
He planned to ask her to give him another chance. Another chance to make her happy. He couldn’t live without her anymore, anyway, so he was ready to do all it took to make her take him back.
But currently, he was feeling himself get hard just from her words. His dick pushed out of his pants as her nearness snapped awake his hormones.
“Marcus?” Jody called, snapping Marcus out of his train of thoughts.
“Let’s eat,” Marcus tried again, handing Jody her own plate but she took it from him and placed it back on the counter.
“We’ll eat after” she uttered with a husky voice, driving Marcus over to edge.
……………………………..
JODY
Marcus finally shuts the door close behind him, but his eyes were still transfixed on my clothing in a daze-like state. I walked up to him slowly, adding a slight sway of my hips for a little more effect. Right now, he doesn’t seem so powerful anymore, just a man with two eyes that can’t look away from something so alluring.
I wrap my arms around his neck, hitting my front to his as I bit my lip seductively. This was unlike me, but I just wanted to switch the script for today. I made him sit on the bed with his hands on his side, walked back and took off my sexy lingerie and then stood naked before him.
He groaned helplessly, leaning forward as if to grab me, but I walked back, turns and starts to twerk.
“Are you testing me, Jody?” he asked between clenched teeth.
I knew he wouldn’t be able to stand it. After enough taunting, I reversed-cow-girl on him till he released with a sharp throaty grunt. My house wasn’t sound proof, my neighbors must have heard that.
About twenty minutes later, I lay on his arms watching him snore softly after the crazy sex we both had. His hair was disheveled but added to his allure rugged beauty, a sight I had missed so much and craved for. Why starve myself when I could eat my cake and have it?
Staying away from him hurts so much, I felt bit physically, but being with him makes me want to hit myself in the head. Time to start getting ready to go see my friends, I thought checking the alarm clock siting on my bedside table.
It was 6:35 pm, indicating I have an hour and half to get ready. The drive to Connor Shelby’s mansion will take over forty-five minutes from my place so I had to start getting ready. I’ll have to pass up on his deliciously smelling pasta.
As I started climbing out of the bed, I felt Marcus stir awake. He rubbed his eyes with the back of his palm and then gaze at me with confusion after clearing his eyes. I came down from the bed without saying a word, and threw my red bathrobe over my body.
“Jody?” he called as I was about walking into the bathroom to wash myself. And when I twirled to face him, he patted on a side of the bed close to him. “Please, come sit.”
I quietly obliged and went to sit close to him. I straightened my shoulders and sat stiffly so he wouldn’t get any ideas in that head of his.
“Jody, I’m so sorry for what I did, honestly, I can’t live without you anymore, I really hope you can give me another chance to-”
“Relax, Marcus, this wouldn’t be the last time we’ll be having this rendezvous.” I cut into his sentence, rolling my eyes at him.
He leaned forward, a new twinkle appeared in his brown eyes. “You’ll give me another chance?” his voice was laced with excitement.
“What? No!”
“Huh? So how do you mean this won’t be the last time?”
He was definitely taken aback. The gleam in his eyes was gone, replaced with perplexity.
“I’m just going to have fun now, Marcus, with no string attached, of course. I know you hate attachment.” I shrugged, perfectly expressing my indifference.
“What? Jody!”
“I don’t care about feeling anymore,” I continued my lie, completely stripping my face of any emotion.
“I can’t accept this, Jody, I really still love you very much…” he coaxed, picking my hand up and caressing it gently.
“Well you have to, if you still want to keep seeing me. You don’t abandon someone you love without an explanation.” I concluded and detached my hand from his in a way that would hurt.
I got up, still facing him. “If you’re cool with it, I’ll see you when I get back, if you’re not, have a good life. I’m going to see my friends, would eat there.” I concluded and sauntered into the bathroom.
After a nerve calming shower, I came out of the bathroom, put on my clothes on while he watched warily from the bed. I ignored him, picked up my phone and my bag and left the room without even a polite wave.
I hummed victoriously as I walked to my car, turning my phone back on. My mind instinctively went back to the grave dread in Marcus’s eyes. At this point, it was safe to say he didn’t want to lose me as well. He might be oblivious to him, but I was using the only means possible to keep him to myself without the fear of getting hurt again.
I just had to make him see, to make him realize whatever he might be realizing at the moment. A beep from my phone snapped me out of my train of thoughts.
I checked my phone to see a text from NK. I opened it and saw a message that made me stop in my tracks. It read:
“Location changed. Grace moved back to her home in Essex. Stop by the supermarket, we’ll be needing lots of tissues.”
I froze, clutching my phone hard, hoping and wishing it wasn’t what I was thinking. I really hope Grace wasn’t calling it off with Connor.
