Elena Bush couldn’t help but narrow her eyes as she watched her repulsed look.
Her reaction was clearly different from yesterday, and when she brought it up again now, it was with such pain that she couldn’t help but speculate once again if something had happened yesterday that had caused her to think that way.
Not receiving an answer from her, Blanche was disturbed.
She looked at her and after a moment of silence, she finally could not control herself and spoke again, “Elena, can’t you even grant me that request?”
She hadn’t meant to force her, but she didn’t know how much longer she could support herself, let alone when …… she would actually break down.
“No.” Elena Bush retorted immediately, smiling at her with a smile, “I can promise you that.”
Blanche’s eyes flickered as she listened to her firm promise, and indescribable emotions spread through her heart once again.
Elena Bush reached out and took her hand in hers, which also made her forget to shudder for a moment.
She looked up and met her eyes, looking at the woman in front of her with rare care.
“Blanche, I don’t know exactly what you’re doing with this sudden decision, but I’ll tell you this anyway, there’s no one to stop you or coerce you into whatever decision you make, but I just hope you’re making the decision you want.”
It would be so sad if it wasn’t.
Why couldn’t two people who clearly loved each other be together again?
Blanche lowered her eyes and fell silent, not answering her.
Elena Bush’s face always had a light smile on it, as if to completely calm her restlessness and anxiety, and to bring peace to her rambling heart ……
As if she was afraid that her words would cause her to judge otherwise, Elena Bush did not say too much, but only whispered, “Blanche, if giving up Kent will make you happier, then give it up, at least it will not make you so tired of living.”
She had loved too, so she knew how hard it was to love someone, let alone to love someone forever.
Blanche stared at her holding her hand and said in a voice only she could hear, “Elena Bush, how did you and Logan Brown get together?”
“Us?”
Elena Bush was a little surprised that she would suddenly mention this.
Blanche saw her puzzled face and thought she had offended her, so she shook her head and explained, “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it like that, I was just thinking about how you and Logan Brown seem to have always had a good relationship with each other and how cute your kids are, and I was just a little envious for a moment.”
“That’s okay.” Elena Bush waved her hand and whispered, not minding.
She said, smiling reminiscently, “Actually, Logan Brown and I weren’t as good as you think, oh, he and I started out as a deal.”
“A deal?”
“Hmm.” Elena Bush nodded, not hiding anything from the past, “It’s just that maybe I saved the world in my last life and that’s why I met him and he could see me.”
At that time, she was not perfect at all, she was weak and timid, and only let people bully her.
It wasn’t until later, after seeing all the benefits and all the betrayals, that she had understood more than anyone else.
There was only one person in the world called Logan Brown who would genuinely treat her well, and so she tried her best to reciprocate his feelings.
Blanche looked at her and couldn’t help but be lost in thought.
She had thought that Elena Bush was happy, but when she saw the flash of unspeakable pain as she remembered the past, she instantly understood something.
She tugged at the corners of her mouth and smiled, “So, no one in this world is destined for happiness either.”
After all, you have to fight for it and hold on to it yourself.
But ……
Kent’s heart wasn’t in hers, and even with all her strength, she couldn’t tie him to her side.
“Blanche, think positive, if you and Kent are not meant to be together then there must be a better one waiting for you in the future, no one is yours forever, he only belongs to you the moment you confirm it ……”
Elena Bush patted her on the shoulder jumped up and tugged her outside.
The garden was well tended to by the gardener, and just as they approached, the scent of the flowers rushed into their nostrils, soothing them both immediately.
Elena Bush let go of her hand, “See? There are so many flowers and plants here, you can pick one of them, or you can take a bunch, it’s the same with your own life, it’s up to you to choose, but it’s enough if the end result makes you happy.”
Blanche crouched down, her head buried in her knees, not looking up.
Elena Bush looked down at her, not breaking her silence.
It was only after a long moment that she slowly looked up and smiled bitterly, “Elena Bush, you know what? I wanted to be with him too, even though he always treated me like a subordinate, but I couldn’t help taking every joke he made seriously, and I even wanted to respond to him several times.”
In the end she realised that they were just jokes that came out of the blue and could never be taken seriously.
Elena Bush was amazed and couldn’t help but ask, “How could that be a joke, if you didn’t ask?”
She had memorised everything Kent had said to her and there was no way she could forget it, not to mention the smile on Kent’s face when he mentioned it.
Blanche looked at her, still shaking her head, “You don’t understand, there’s more than just a star between us, it’s a thousand mountains!”
She and Kent …… were not meant to be.
Elena Bush remained unconvinced and Blanche, cornered, jerked to her feet and gritted her teeth and said with red eyes, “I have to admit it even if I don’t want to admit it any more because he confirmed it to me personally this morning.”
“What did he say?”
“He said that I had misunderstood the feelings between him and me, that he didn’t love me and wouldn’t be with, and that since that was the case, even if my heart held more of him it wouldn’t do any good, and I didn’t want …… to make things difficult for him anymore.”
After all, he deserved better and could have had a better choice.
Elena Bush nearly gasped at her words and huffed and squeezed her pink fist, “If that’s really what he said then I’ll go to him now and ask what the hell is going on!”
He had told her otherwise and then he was telling Blanche that she had misunderstood his feelings? What the hell is this!
Blanche saw her about to leave and subconsciously clasped her hand, almost pleadingly whispering, “Don’t go …… please ……”
