CHAPTER 106

Book:The Lycan King's Mistress Published:2024-6-4

ELORA
I stared at the large double doors leading to the training room, frowning down at the floor. The king had written me a letter that while it indeed gave me insight to his true feelings about me still made me feel afraid to see him again.
How could I get over the fact that he had only slept with me because he wanted to rid himself of me?
How could I move on from the thought that I had trusted him to be different from all the males that had only wanted to use my body and degrade me but at the end of the day, he was exactly like them?
I turned, backing the door.
Why had I even come?
My body warmed as I remembered how passionate the kings’ declaration of love for me was but he hadn’t even said the words I so wished to hear.
I find that I’m absolutely enthralled by the feelings you have managed to evoke in my wounded heart. I am sure that I want to spend the rest of my life wrapped in the beauty that is you.
Even now, the words touched me softly.
He had talked about things I hadn’t noticed that I did and talking with Lucy, I found that he had indeed studied me most ardently and noticed all my subconscious habits. Like how I bit my lips when reading a particularly riveting piece of poetry and how my hands never seemed to leave my hair edges alone.
He had also described my hair as ‘having golden strands that shimmered in the sunlight’ and eyes that ‘put the sands of all the deserts in the world to shame’.
Lucy and I had tittered like little girls when we read that part and even now, my heart warmed.
I hadn’t still gotten over how angry I was but his concluding paragraph won me over.
If you still haven’t forgiven me by now, there’s only one other probable solution.
I’ll let you do what is considered treason for any other person who’d dare.
I’ll let you hit me as many times as you want.
All you have to do is meet me in the training room at dawn.
P. S Wear something you can move in.
That was why I had decided to come.
I already had an answer in my heart to give him concerning his asking to be his queen but when else would I get the chance to hit him?
I opened the doors and walked in, catching him sharpening a wicked-looking sword. He looked over at me and arched a brow at the flowing robe I had worn and I felt so incensed by the mockery in his gaze that I didn’t hesitate to untie the strap that held it and let it fall to the floor.
I smiled triumphantly when I heard his sharp intake of breath, arching one of my brows triumphantly at him.
His eyes roamed my body and I swear I felt heat lick up where his eyes had lingered. I blushed feeling like a naughty school girl as his eyes came back to meet mine. They had gone dark in a telltale hue that I knew meant his desire had been incensed.
I had warned Lucy against dressing me in something so form-fitting but she had glared at me until I changed into the dark woolen breeches that were sinfully soft and dark woolen long sleeved shirts with a leather vest that only enhanced my curves.
I turned away from him, walking to the weapons rack, feigning interest in the deadly glinting metals so I could hide my anxiety.
He still hadn’t said anything but I felt him move till he was only a few feet away from me. The heat coming off him incensed my own desire and I was sure if he touched me now, I’d jump in his arms and beg him to have his way with me.
When had I turned this wanton?
I decided to blame the hormones being pregnant shot through me.
I couldn’t possibly be this wanton.
I refused to believe it.
“Glad to see you took me up on my offer.” He muttered. His voice had a teasing edge to it.
I turned after schooling my face into an unreadable mask and met his gaze.
I was right, his eyes glittered. Dark and dangerous in a midnight blue shade that promised sweet passion if I succumbed but no. I wouldn’t at least not until I had hit him sufficiently.
“I wouldn’t miss it for anything, your majesty,” I answered, meeting his gaze.
“Rome.” He stated. “I asked you to call me Rome. There doesn’t need to be such formality between us once we’re married.”
I raised a brow at him taken aback by his bold assumption.
“I don’t believe I’ve given my answer.”
“But you will agree.” He answered boldly.
I laughed incredulously, stepping past him.
“That’s a bold assumption.” I glared not knowing where this urge to tease him was coming from. “You said you’d let me give an answer in two weeks. Its only been a week.”
He glared at me, his face a mask of stormy rage then he broke out in a smile I hadn’t seen on him before. It was so playful that it had me feeling exposed.
Did he see how much I wanted to go and my knees and wipe that smile off his face.
“Alright.” He smiled. “Where do you want to do it?”
My eyes went wide.
I slapped a hand over my mouth.
Had I said that out loud?
“Come Elora, it’s not every day I let someone hit me.” He laughed. “What were you thinking?”
I shook my head and walked away from him, my face red.
He stopped laughing and walked to meet me.
“Is something wrong?” He asked.
I shook my head.
“Let us start,” I said, surprising him when I punched him in the stomach.
“Fuck!” He groaned. “You have a mean right hook.”
I stepped back with a hand over my mouth to stop myself from laughing.
He glared at me.
“Enjoy this while it lasts, mate.” He growled, eyes red with blood lust. “You won’t get another chance like this.”
He growled again but controlled himself.
“Oh, I intend to.”
I swung again but he deflected her hand.
“Hey!” She protested. “You said I could hit you.”
“I know.” He smirked. “You won’t get punished if you can land a hit.”
I pouted folding my hands.
“That’s not what you wrote,” I grumbled.
“Are you scared you can’t land another hit?” He teased knowing fully well I wouldn’t resist the challenge. “Think of it as self-defense training.”
I glared at him.
“I already know how to fight,” I growled going into a fighting stance.
“Not against Lycan’s you don’t.” He smirked. “Come on, princess. Let’s see if you can land another punch.”
“Don’t you mean Queen?” I asked throwing another punch.
He grabbed my arm and drew me flush against him but I wasn’t so easily deterred and used my leg to trip him in a surprise move that had us landing on the floor with me astride him.
I smirked at him as he lay surprised beneath me.
“I thought you said you hadn’t made up your mind yet?” He asked, smiling brightly.
I laughed flipping my hair behind me.
“I haven’t but you have to admit that Queen Elora has a nice ring to it.” I laughed.
He flipped me so I was beneath me, pressing his delighted weight onto me.
This was taking a turn I had hoped to save for later.
“Don’t play games with me, wolf.” He growled baring his teeth.
“Why not?” I asked innocently. “I’m having so much fun.”
I wigged beneath him, pushing my weeping sex against his hard member I could feel straining against his breeches.
His groan had me feeling like I had won a trophy.
“I’m going to make you regret that.” He growled against my ear, nipping me lightly.
I smiled back, fisting the hair at his nape.
“You have to remember I’m carrying your baby so you can’t hurt me.”
That was a low blow and I knew it but by the time we’d undressed and he was sinking into me, I knew he didn’t give a damn.
He pounded into me with the force of a man starved yet out to prove a point and being myself, I took his punishing strokes like a good girl, scoring his back with my nails as punishment.
We rode the waves of this punishing coupling together and shouted out our pleasure in sync.
He rolled to the side, pulling me to lay on his shaft still sheathed inside me as we tried to regain our breathing.
“Tell me you don’t want to have this forever, Elora.” He whispered almost begging. “This…is good between us. Can’t this convince you to stay?”
I smiled, straddling him and running my hands down his chest, smiling as I felt him getting hard inside me again.
“I don’t know, your Majesty.” I smiled leaning down to kiss him. “Perhaps if you perform as well as you did just now, you can convince me.”
His answering growl was all I needed to ride the waves of pleasure with him again.
The truth I’d never admit to him was that from the moment he’d asked me, I’d made up my mind.
I didn’t know how well I’d serve as the queen but I knew that with him by my side, I would be fine.
