“Is that so?” Harvey propped his chin in contemplation.
Elena Bush looked speechless and reached out and rubbed his little head, “What’s the matter with you little guy, don’t spend all day thinking, come and talk to Grandma and Grandma.”
“Yes!” Harvey immediately put all his thoughts behind him and bowed before their headstone.
Logan Brown and Elena Bush looked at each other and smiled, the softness in their eyes clear to see.
“Grandma, Granny, I’m Harvey Brown, Mummy’s favourite baby, even Daddy can’t compare!”
“……”
The man’s eyes twitched at the corners and he held back from giving the brat a direct lecture in front of the two elders.
Elena Bush saw what was going through his mind and wordlessly shoved her small hand into his.
All the anger in the latter’s heart dissipated and all that was left was contentment.
Harvey was a good boy and talked a lot about his battle of wits with Logan Brown.
Logan Brown swore that if Elena Bush hadn’t held him, he wouldn’t have been able to resist teaching him a lesson.
Elena Bush stifled a laugh and rested her forehead on his shoulder and whispered, “Children’s words are not taboo.”
Logan Brown grunted, “It would be nice if the brat had the mind of a real child, but his mind is too active to ignore.”
“Even so, isn’t that your child?” Elena Bush looked at him sideways, “Which is why it’s so clever, and I think it’s only right that you should take half the blame.”
Logan Brown snorted, “I wasn’t this naughty as a kid.”
“Yes, yes, yes.” Elena Bush nodded repeatedly and couldn’t help but curl her lips, “But where could a child care so much about you if they didn’t love you?”
Even the change in his mood and emotions was evident, even without saying it, they both knew in their hearts the weight of each other in the child’s mind.
Logan Brown, naturally aware, grunted, “If it wasn’t for the knowledge, the brat would have been hung up on me and beaten up.”
The little woman arched her eyes and couldn’t help but think to herself that there didn’t seem to be anything wrong with the two of them getting used to this way of being together, and that she was enjoying it a bit instead ……
Harvey had said so much that his mouth was dry, but when he turned around and saw Elena Bush and Logan Brown in love, he became jealous and squeezed in between them with his short legs.
Logan Brown reluctantly released his grip on Elena Bush, picked him up, unscrewed the lid of the water bottle he had brought with him and poured him some water, “Did you finish talking to Grandma and Granny?”
“Yes!” Harvey nodded heavily as he nestled into his arms, “And I promised Grandma and Grandma I’d come over to see them later too!”
“Good boy.” Elena Bush stroked his little head with a look of relief.
Harvey rubbed his hand against hers affectionately, very receptive.
Logan Brown watched as his jealousy returned and he took Elena Bush’s hand and held it in his instead.
Elena Bush had no choice but to let him do so.
It was a while before he let go and Elena Bush knelt down in front of the headstone and spoke to them for a moment.
She was about to pick up Harvey when the latter sidled up and shook his head, “No need.”
“Won’t you say something?” She was a little taken aback.
The man curled his lips and said, “No, I just wanted to bring you here to see them and that’s enough to put your mind at ease once you’ve seen them, and there’s nothing to say about …….”
Everything, everything is in words.
That the family could be together in peace was the best thing that could be said to the two people buried here.
Elena Bush drifted off and nodded, “That too.”
“Mummy, I’m hungry ……”
Harvey’s resigned voice rang out, interrupting the duo’s conversation.
Elena Bush nodded repeatedly and clasped Logan Brown’s hand, “Then let’s hurry back, shall we, and take you out for some good food too.”
Elena Bush still had it in her mind that she hadn’t taken him out last night.
Harvey had forgotten about it, but now he couldn’t help but cheer happily when he heard about it.
He was a child, and he was at his most innocent at this time.
The three of them had no choice but to take him out of the car and find a restaurant nearby while Logan Brown parked the car.
The two were seated and ordered quickly, Harvey hugging Elena Bush’s arm and not letting go, a little drowsy.
“Tired?” She patted his little face.
Harvey answered in a daze, making her smile helplessly, “This little guy, he wasn’t tired at all when he was running around yelling all day, but now he’s crying out that he’s tired.”
Harvey rubbed against her arm and Elena Bush had to cuddle him to make him sleep more comfortably.
“Elena?”
A familiar voice came, causing her movements to pause slightly.
Harvey subconsciously and immediately opened his eyes and sat up straight as he gave the man in front of him a serious look.
Elena Bush guffawed and met Edward Ford’s gaze, “What a coincidence, you’re here too?”
“I followed you here.” Edward Ford said bluntly.
As soon as the words left her mouth, the movement of her hand froze, then she withdrew it as if nothing had happened.
Seeing her blush, Edward Ford hastily waved his hand and immediately defended himself, “No, don’t get me wrong, I didn’t mean to, I just wanted to know you were safe, nothing more.”
He had followed her all the way and knew she had gone to pay her respects to Joanna Lake, but he hadn’t had the face to show up after all.
It wasn’t until just now that he made up his mind, after all, he knew that maybe she was leaving G after seeing Joanna Lake, and if he didn’t see her again, he didn’t know when the next time would be. ……
Harvey looked around at the two of them and just felt that there was something weird in the air, so he couldn’t help but tug on Elena Bush’s arm and say, “Mummy, who is this old grandpa?”
Edward Ford looked at her with the same expectant gaze.
Elena Bush looked up and saw that Edward Ford had really aged, in just three years his hair had almost turned white and wrinkles had crept onto his face, adding to the signs of his age.
Harvey couldn’t get an answer and couldn’t help but frown, “Mummy?”
“He ……” Elena Bush squeezed her palms and after a long moment of silence she faintly heard her voice fall.
She said ……
“Harvey, this is Grandpa, it’s Mummy’s …… Daddy ……”
