Edward Ford fell to the ground, a dumbfounded look on the man who held him beneath him, his hand fell on his back, the wetness of his palm almost daring him to face it, he couldn’t stop shaking as he lifted it.

Hadn’t Logan Brown wanted him dead? As long as he was gone, no one would bother Elena Bush, no one would steal Elena Bush from he, so why?

Logan Brown lifted his face, a thin layer of sweat breaking out on his forehead, his face as pale as snow, and he tugged at the corner of his mouth.
“Logan Brown!”
Elena Bush finally broke free of Zach Stone and rushed over, tears wetting her cheeks as she approached, her entire body plummeting to the ground as she saw the stinging blood on her back.
With trembling hands she crawled step by step to his face, not daring to reach out and touch it at all.
“How …… Logan Brown, you’re going to be okay right? You promised me you’d be okay!”
But why had it all changed in just the blink of an eye?
The man, pale and barely holding himself together, turned and patted her face, “I’m fine ……”
“How can you be fine!” She was almost hysterical.
How could she really be fine like he said when her palm was almost covered in blood just for a moment!
Elena Bush looked around in panic, “Hospital, get a hospital!”
“Sister-in-law, just calm down.” Zach Stone tried to pull her up.
But she ducked before he could touch her. He looked over and saw that Elena Bush’s face was pale and bloodless.
“Zach Stone, get the car!” Her voice was cold without any trace of warmth, and it made one’s heart tremble.
Not daring to hesitate any longer, Zach Stone quickly went straight to get the car.
Edward Ford got up and tried to carry Logan Brown, but Jacob held out a hand to stop him, “Mr Ford, Jacqueline is all yours, as for the gentleman, I’ll take him to the hospital.”
As soon as the words left his mouth, Jacob shoved Logan Brown straight into the car with Logan on his back and Elena Bush got into the car right after him.
Edward Ford stared blankly at the distant car, his mind in turmoil ……
Emma Bush was inside the warehouse when she clearly heard the gunshots outside and rushed out in her wheelchair to see that Edward Ford had pinned Jacqueline down, with Mason Bush standing by, dazed.
Jacqueline was keenly aware of her presence and immediately looked over menacingly, “Emma Bush, how dare you show up?”
“Why wouldn’t I dare?” Emma Bush grunted, arrogant at the thought that there was nothing she could have done, “Jacqueline, look at yourself now, I’m telling you, you’ll never get away with this!”
“Who are you to say anything about her?” Edward Ford was in a foul mood and all his anger went to her, “Emma Bush, if Jacqueline can’t get away with it, you can’t get away with it either!”
Did she think she could walk away? How delusional!
Emma Bush’s heart trembled and her subconscious eyes darted around for a moment before she found Mason Bush.
She moved cautiously to Mason Bush’s side and said, “Dad, let’s go, we can still get out of here before the police come. The keys must be there too!”
Mason Bush turned his eyes to look at Emma Bush, who looked before him with a pleading face, and a flash of helplessness crossed his brow.
“Dad, what’s wrong with you?” Emma Bush, unable to respond, was inexplicably flustered and clutched at his sleeve, “I’m scared if you don’t say anything, will you answer me ……”
