Edward Ford’s words were too eerie and weird, as if he was testing her for something.
Elena Bush had a fine sweat forming on her palms at some point, leaving her at a loss for words, much less what he would say out loud.
“Elena,” Edward Ford said, staring earnestly at her face, as if to see something in it, “don’t you see the difference between me and Logan Brown now? I have the power to get what he wants but can’t get, and I have that power to beat him.”
Elena Bush didn’t answer.
Edward Ford just assumed she was disappointed and laughed lowly, “Elena, I know I made a mistake, but now that it’s happened, all I can do is continue to perpetuate the mistake until it becomes right!”
And he would make it clear to her that he was more than capable of getting her everything she needed than Logan Brown.
Elena Bush laughed out loud, “So that’s why you came all the way over here, to say that?”
“And you still can’t listen!?!!?” Edward Ford fumed, “Elena, Logan Brown can’t give you what you want, what you want only I can give you, and I can give this child a lifetime of peace and a healthy life ……”
“You can’t give that.”
“What do you want?” Edward Ford pressed impatiently.
He didn’t believe there was anything he couldn’t do.

Elena Bush looked at him and a single word slowly escaped her pink lips, interrupting all his thoughts straight away.
In that moment, she could even clearly see the look frozen on his face, making her smile, “Edward Ford, can you give me that? What I want is a complete home, someone who loves me, someone I can be happy with for the rest of my life and depend on, you can’t give me any of that, what guarantee do you have?”
“I have love for you too! I’m your father, and you can rely on me and trust me with all your heart and soul!”
“Impossible!” Elena Bush’s answer was not the slightest bit suspenseful, she hooked her lips, “Do you think that you can make me believe that now?”
How could she trust him when he had done so many things that had let her down, and even tried to get her killed three times? How could she rely on him?
I’m afraid that if she trusted Edward Ford, destruction would be waiting for her ……
Edward Ford rubbed his face fiercely, and when he raised it again, he had withdrawn his softness.
He spoke with a cold expression, “Elena, if you want to continue your obsession, then don’t blame me for being cruel.”
“What do you want to do?”
“It’s not what I want, it’s Logan Brown,” his lips curled in a smile, “He thinks he has a successful career, so he is a successful person. I had made up my mind to spare him, but he didn’t know how to back off ……”
Elena Bush’s pupils fluttered and worry flooded her mind.
Edward Ford took in her reaction and lifted his hand to pat her shoulder, “Don’t worry too much, if he’s smart enough to stop, I can pretend nothing happened, but if he continues to try to bring down the Ford Group, it’s his fault.”
Elena Bush’s whole body tensed up and looked at him with a deadly stare.
Edward Ford got up and patted his sleeve, then suddenly laughed, “By the way, I seem to have forgotten to tell you that the only reason I was able to get that land so easily this time was because Logan Brown’s right-hand man around sold me the information.”
“You mean Jacob?”
Edward Ford shrugged, “I’m afraid there’s no one else but him.”
“Impossible!”
“Why not?” He asked rhetorically, “Elena, you are naive after all. Everything is important in this world, but money and power are the most important, and the things that betray people the most. He’s young and ambitious, and he’s not going to want to be a little vice-president of Logan Brown’s and do all his work!”
So Jacob’s decision to defect and take his side was a smart one.
Elena Bush’s eyes dropped, she didn’t want to believe it, but Edward Ford had to be right when he said that.

“Elena ……” he called out her name, extra serious, “you’re still too naive to think that Jacob would choose to betray Logan Brown after all those years of following him. Do you think Logan Brown would really take you to heart when you’ve only been with him for just under two years?”
