The assistant was ultimately too stupid to know about the mutual speculation between the two men, but he was wise enough not to make any remarks and simply obeyed him without making a sound.
Jacob left the box without incident and went straight back to the hotel, where he was keenly aware of someone following him as soon as he entered the hotel lobby.
He simply ignored them and strode into the lift.
Inside the hotel room, Logan Brown was on the phone with Roger Scott, who had heard from somewhere that Elena Bush and Logan Brown’s divorce papers had been filed, and had thought to call and scold Logan Brown at first.
The man frowned, a little embarrassed, “Uncle Roger, this is between us, I know you’ll be angry when you find out, but I’ll explain it to you later.”
“Explain, explain what explain!?” Roger Scott’s face was red with anger, “I thought it was strange that Elena wanted to be in my family’s account a while ago, but I never thought it was you and your wife having a falling out.”
“Uncle Roger, we didn’t ……”
“No what!?” Roger Scott didn’t take his words in at all just kept reprimanding, “Logan, I’ve seen how you’ve come through all these years, but I know more than anything what Elena is like!”

He had a headache on his face and was suddenly a little jealous of Elena Bush.

Logan Brown nodded slightly, “Back from meeting Edward Ford?”
“Yes.” Jacob nodded, “I pretended to say yes to his words like you said.”
“Hmm.”
Logan Brown was quite satisfied, “What did he say?”
“Edward Ford seemed to take me at my word, but …… I don’t think he fully believed me as a man.”
“How so?” The man sat back in his seat and leaned back, his brow furrowed slightly.
Jacob didn’t make a sound, just turned and walked gingerly to the door and glanced out through the cat’s eye. Outside the door, the two men were walking around, seemingly unintentionally, but their eyes fell on the room in unison, never moving halfway.
After confirming what he thought, Jacob returned to Logan Brown and lowered his voice, “Edward Ford has someone watching me, I’m afraid, to test the waters between us.”
Logan Brown laughed, “That’s like him.”
He wasn’t surprised, after all, when a loyal man goes rogue, one has to wonder about the authenticity of it.
Jacob hung his head low, “What do you intend for me to do, sir?”
“No need to ask me, you should ask yourself what you want to do.” The man’s, eyes fell on him with a subdued look.
Jacob hesitated for a moment, and soon his mind was already clear.
“I understand, sir, there is no need to worry, I will make Edward Ford trust me with his whole heart, only …… please do not take it to heart if it hurts you then.”
“You know how to do that?”
“Yes.” Jacob nodded, and when he raised his eyes again, there were strangers in them.
