It was night.
A gentle breeze passed by, Dr Thomas had just finished his book in the study and felt sleepy, so he took off his eyes and rubbed his sore eyes as he closed the door and went back to his bedroom.
“There was a snap and the light illuminated the room.
“Ah!”
Dr Thomas nearly lost his legs at the sudden appearance of the man in the bedroom, “Who are you?”
Logan Brown narrowed his eyes, “Are Edward Ford’s men that cowardly?”
Dr Thomas took a deep breath, “I’m not an Edward Ford man, I’m just a doctor.”
The man’s tall frame rose and easily enveloped him in his shadow, “Keep your voice down or I won’t promise I’ll go easy on you if you provoke someone else!”
“What are you trying to do?” He looked at him nervously, inexplicably yielding to the man before him.
Logan Brown’s eyes fell dead on him in pursuit, “You’ve been in and out of the Ford a lot in the last two days, have you been seeing a woman called Elena Bush?”
“How do you know!?”
Dr Thomas blurted out, only to realize that he had said the wrong thing and shook his head again in denial, “I… I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“You can pretend, but …… I don’t guarantee that I’ll show any mercy if you tell another lie.”
Logan Brown smiled warmly at him and dropped his large hands to his shoulders in a silent vice.
The sudden tightening of the force hurt Dr Thomas’s face.
“I …… I said ……”
Dr Thomas immediately blurted out, if his shoulder was really injured, there was no guarantee that it would not leave after-effects, he was a doctor, it was a matter of whether he could pick up a scalpel again, so he did not dare to be reckless!
Logan Brown’s hand let go of him and said sternly, “Speak!”
Dr Thomas was relieved and finally got a chance to look at the man in front of him.
The man’s face was frosty and his cold air made it impossible to get close, but his handsome features and angular jawline were so handsome that one wanted to get close, but could not ……
“You ……” he looked at him, his brow furrowed, “are you Miss Elena’s lover, Logan Brown?”
“You know me?”
A cold light passed under his eyes, Dr Thomas clearly felt the moment of killing intent, he hurriedly explained, “I heard about you from Miss Elena’s mouth, and, I helped her too!”
At those words, the cold colour on the man’s face faded for a few moments, but it was still tinged with caution, “You helped her with what?”
“I helped her keep the baby, I was the one who took care of her during the last few days when she was very unstable, causing signs of miscarriage, and I was also the one who spoke up for her when Edward Ford put her on the operating table to take the baby from her!”
Dr Thomas’ unspoken words were like a knife to his heart, and it hurt like hell!
He could even almost imagine the helplessness and uncertainty in the little woman’s heart ……
Dr Thomas saw him completely let down his guard and his tone softened a bit, “I really didn’t lie to you, if you don’t believe me, you can also contact her, her mobile phone cards are given by me, otherwise, she may not be able to contact you yet.”
“She contacted me?”
Logan Brown quickly fished out his phone and realised that all the missed calls had been automatically blocked, as well as the messages she had sent with great anticipation ……
He didn’t see any of them, not a single one ……
Dr Thomas looked at his suddenly changed face and wondered, “What, didn’t you know?”
He remembered that when he went to see Elena Bush during the day, Elena Bush was a little disoriented, but she said with certainty, “He will come, he will come!”
He thought …… she was so sure because she had reached out to her beloved, but who knew ……
Logan Brown, with a flash of chagrin, couldn’t care less about Dr Thomas’ reaction and quickly dialed the mobile number back.
The other end of the phone picked up quickly afterwards, and the tone that came through was cheerful and cheerful, “Logan Brown!”
The man’s heart sank inexplicably, and he felt the urge to cry.
“It’s me.”
Elena Bush closed her eyes deeply and fell back on the bed with a sigh of relief, “I knew it, you wouldn’t ignore me, I knew it ……”
Through the microphone, he could clearly detect the trembling and thankfulness in the little woman’s words.
Logan Brown really dreaded to think how long it would have taken him to notice if he hadn’t come to see the man in front of him, if he hadn’t warned him?
Dr Thomas saw that the call had been dialled and stepped aside to speak up, “Elena Bush, you need to be very clear with your man, I’m Edward Ford’s personal doctor yes, but that’s just a matter of interest, it doesn’t mean I approve of what he’s doing!”
His voice was not low, so Logan Brown was not on speakerphone and Elena Bush could hear him clearly.
The hot tears that had been left behind by her thoughts of Logan Brown retracted at once and she couldn’t help but snort out a laugh.
She bit her lip and whispered to Logan Brown, “Don’t worry, he’s not a bad guy, at least …… he helped me.”
“Hmm.”
The man nodded, the soft light in the bottom of his eyes unfolding unabashedly, “Don’t worry, I didn’t do anything to him.”
“……”
Dr Thomas on the other side of the room wanted to punch someone, the soreness in his shoulder was still very sharp from the slightest movement, and he was saying he hadn’t done anything to him!
Elena Bush’s eyes were closed as she listened to the sound of his voice, and her floating heart finally found a home. ……
Logan Brown clenched his hand wordlessly and said in a deep voice, “Elena, wait for me, I’ll see you soon, don’t be afraid ……”
“Mmm!”
The little woman answered, the corners of her lips unconsciously raised a light smile of satisfaction, “I haven’t been afraid, because I know you will come and will not give up on me, so …… I’m not afraid.”
“Good boy.” The man’s voice was as mellow and sexy as ever.
The microphone was close to her ear, inexplicably causing her ears to soften along with it.
It was only after Logan Brown had finished with her that he finally remembered the presence of Dr Thomas behind him, and he met his slightly wary gaze with a grimace.
Dr Thomas felt that something was wrong and took a few steps back, “What, what do you want now?”
Logan Brown’s thin lips opened without a hint of hesitation, “I want you to take me to Elena Bush!”
