Sacha walked in briskly, “You said Evan is in a vegetative state?”
Sivin knew Sacha was the adopted daughter of his good friend, Eric. He just didn’t understand why she was so worked up.
“Yes, Evan. Do you know him?” asked Sivin.
Eric also looked at his daughter.
Why was she so agitated? Was there something between her and Evan that he didn’t know?
Sacha hurriedly explained, “I got to know him while trying to find out the location of my mother’s grave from Elijah. That’s why.”
“Oh, I see.” Sivin didn’t think much of it.
But Eric understood his daughter. If it was just an acquaintance, she wouldn’t be so emotional upon hearing that Evan was in a vegetative state. He sighed. His child was growing up.
“Go and see him!”
Sacha was surprised by Eric’s words.
“Dad…”
“Just go!” Eric waved his hand. “Just remember the way back home.”
Sacha bit her lip and said, “Thank you, Dad.” After speaking, she rushed into her room to pack her things.
Sivin didn’t understand and asked, “What’s going on? What are you thinking?”
“Didn’t you see? She and Evan…” Eric gave him a look that said he should know.
Sivin suddenly understood. “Are you saying she’s in a relationship with Evan?”
“Shh. Just knowing is enough. Don’t shout it out.”
Sivin didn’t intend to shout it out. He was just too surprised.
Eric checked his watch and stood up. “Let’s go!”
“Where to?” Although Sivin asked, he didn’t hesitate to move.
“We’re going to pick up Elijah, his flight is at six.” Eric said.
Sivin looked at Eric, “Aren’t you two mortal enemies?”
Eric was also surprised, “I don’t know why he changed his attitude towards me.”
Sivin pondered for a moment, “Perhaps it’s because he saw what Freya left behind, which made him change his mind about you.”
Eric felt grateful and said, “Honestly, I am thankful to him for being able to forgive me.”
Back then, for his own selfishness, he took Joan Nash away, leaving Elijah without parents from a young age. It was a bit cruel for a child. But Elijah’s forgiveness towards Eric wasn’t just because he knew about Joan Nash’s feelings for him. It was also because Eric had saved his mother, allowing her to live for many more years. Joan Nash had a gentle personality, and in the dangerous place that was the Silverton family, she would have continued to be in danger. So, Elijah found it in himself to let go.
Eric drove to the airport. And Elijah had just gotten off the plane. The timing was perfect.
Eric walked over with Sivin and said with concern, “It must have been a tiring journey.”
Elijah nodded slightly, glanced at Sivin, and didn’t comment on her presence. He simply walked out with long strides. Sivin and Eric were used to his personality and didn’t mind following him. They came specifically to pick up Elijah. However, Elijah had a date and didn’t go back to the hotel to rest. Instead, he gave an address.
The car stopped at a place, and Elijah got out. He calmly said, “You guys can go back.” After speaking, he walked towards a villa, which didn’t seem like anything special. It looked like an ordinary residence.
Sivin asked Eric, “Is he meeting someone?”
Eric replied, “Perhaps.”
“Let’s go then. If he didn’t ask for our help, it’s best not to interfere and cause trouble,” Sivin agreed.
At this moment, it was better to do more and say less. After all, Elijah was under the most pressure.

Elijah stood at the door and pressed the doorbell. The door opened quickly.
