Chapter 370 Pathetic

Coincidentally, it was Orion calling. Elijah raised an eyebrow when he saw the caller ID. It seemed to be an unexpected coincidence.
“I need a favor from you,” a voice came from the other end of the phone.
“I’m at Moonlight House, come over.”
There was a moment of silence before the voice replied, “Alright.”
Elijah put down his phone and looked at Freya. “He’s coming over. If you have anything to say, now’s the perfect time.” He asked Orion to come over to save Freya from making another trip. Freya nodded.
Half an hour later, Orion arrived. The waiter led him to a private room.
“Elijah…” He was about to speak to Elijah, but when he saw the person next to him, he froze. Orion rubbed his eyes and looked again.
“Freya?” he called tentatively. He realized something was off. Freya’s body was found. How could she still be alive? Could it be that Elijah missed her so much and found someone who looked just like Freya?
“Elijah, where did you find someone who looks so much like Freya?” Orion asked, pulling out a chair and sitting down.
Freya looked at him. “I’m not dead.”
Orion was shocked and stood up, his expression filled with disbelief. “What’s going on?”
“It’s a long story,” Freya didn’t plan on explaining everything to him. Ultimately, it was between her and Elijah. “I want to ask you, is Luna really the one who took Haley’s child away?”
Orion didn’t seem surprised that Freya brought up this matter. Given Freya and Luna’s relationship, it was normal for her to ask about it. Speaking of Luna, he lowered his gaze slightly. “Yes.”
Freya clenched the fork in her hand. “You believe it?”
“I saw her push Haley with my own eyes.” Said Orion.
Disappointment filled Freya’s eyes. What the eyes see isn’t always the truth. She didn’t believe Luna would do such a thing. Luna would never stoop so low. But if even Orion didn’t believe her, how disappointed and heartbroken must she be?
“I’ll talk to Luna about it.” Freya replied, her tone somewhat cold. She knew she would have clarity once she saw Luna.
“You probably won’t get to see her,” Orion said, dejected. “I’m also looking for her. I came to find Elijah to ask for his help, to find out where she’s hiding.”
“She’s hiding?” Freya frowned. She didn’t like that word. The Luna she knew wouldn’t simply hide in the face of problems. Just from Orion’s choice of words, it was clear that he and Luna didn’t truly understand each other after all these years. There was a hint of disappointment in her heart. They had known each other since their student days, so many years together, yet they didn’t truly understand each other. It was truly pathetic. Freya didn’t make a hasty decision. “I will find a way to locate her and find out the truth.”
After speaking, she lowered her head and continued eating, without even glancing at Orion. The delicious food on the table suddenly lost its flavor.
“Freya, if you find her, let me know immediately.” Said Orion.
Freya scooped a spoonful of black truffle seafood steamed egg and slowly chewed, her eyes cast down. “What will you do when you see her? Question her?”
“No, I just care about her…”
“You already believed that she pushed Haley. Why pretend to care?” Freya interrupted.
“What do you mean by pretending to care?” Orion gasped for breath, his anger evident. “I lost my child. I saw her push Haley, causing her to fall down the stairs and miscarry. I didn’t blame her. But then she suddenly disappeared, hiding, and I was worried about her, searching everywhere. Have I done something wrong? Haven’t I done enough?”
Freya looked at him, his self-righteous stance, and decided not to argue with him. She knew that words alone wouldn’t make him believe. She would find out the truth, how Haley Holt fell down the stairs.
“Let’s eat,” she said lightly.
“I’m not hungry.” With that, Orion stood up and left. He felt wronged. He didn’t blame Luna for the loss of their child, but Freya was antagonistic towards him.
Who could he turn to with his grievances?
Elijah, feeling a bit guilty, called out, “Freya?”
