GABRIEL
The old woman strolled towards me, her eyes slumped in dejection and fear. I bet this to be a no joking lecture from her. I glanced right next to where the witch was. I merely stopped. She’d already taken off.
Averting my eyes to the old woman, She was already in front of me and looked scared but rigidly stood up in my face.
Is it safe to talk here? She asked.
I led her into one of the empty rooms. She darted around as if looking for something. It’s safe here. I spoke up. When she made sure no one was around, she turned to me.
I’ve heard everything you two talked about and I wasn’t exhilarated with every single word of it. Find a way to tell that woman to stop whatever she’s planning to do to my girl, because if she doesn’t she’ll not like the after-effect. The world catriona had ended up in is a very scary one for us humans. Talking about humans! Catriona might look like a minuscule human to you people but you and your people should be very careful in terms of putting her in affliction because she’s not just any kind of human you’d step on and just leave like that.
She monotonously chuntered and then paused for a little while with her lips pressed together. She was lost in thoughts so I permitted myself to talk.
There’s nothing you should worry about. As I said, I will protect her to the very end. I will never let anything happen to her as long as I live. I’ll do the same to you and her brother. If you don’t mind, I’d like to know more about Catriona’s life.
From what catriona told me, things are not going well between you two. It’d be better if tells you herself.
I excused myself when Atticus mindlinked with me about the arrival of Jayden’s people. When I neared the door I halted and whipped around. With much respect I’d request you to get Catriona’s brother and head back to your rooms and stay there for a while. I won’t explain it to you but I don’t want to see anyone roaming around now.
Of course. She responded.
When I got out I stopped dead shot to the huge number of people I was seeing. You gotta be kidding me. Three buses. This is quite a huge number. Did Jayden bring the whole school here?
Alpha, what should we do? It’s getting worse . It looks like they can’t control their wolves. Atticus said. Firstly, inform the elders to make sure that every pack member is inside their rooms and safe. Secondly, bring more men and women out here. The women will handle these crazy little female puppies. They’re going up the hills over there.
Right to it Alpha. Atticus said before disappearing into the house.
Dalton and your team make sure that the whole territory is secured. These puppies cannot control themselves. The fear and the confuseness is taking over them. I mindlinked Dalton, the one in charge of patrolling the pack.
The women’s bus was getting worse and worse. Their wolves were breaking all the bus windows out. They were making the still human more terrified. Fuck this. I didn’t sign up for this shit.
I made a move to head over but the pack women led by Cora came out already. Leave that to us alpha. We will handle them. Cora said. Cora is the baddest in women and the mate to Atticus my omega.
After observing the situation and being content that my people will handle the situation without me, I headed back to the house. I scarcely lost my shit when I saw Catriona’s grandmother entering the kitchen with an empty jug when I clearly told her to stay in their rooms. I trailed behind her. I pressed my lips together, looking for the right and respectful words to use with her. Head back to your room now.
Ooh, I didn’t tend to contempt your orders but I forgot to refill the jug.
I’ll tell someone to get it for you.
No child, I’ll take it since I’m already here. She indicated as she sauntered to the water dispenser. I closed my eyes in agitation. Calm down Gabriel and use your head from now and then. In order to win catriona back you need to act our ass calm in the presence of her family. After ruminating, I opened my eyes to elucidate her the objectives of wanting them inside but a frantic scream from outside shut me off. Leave the kitchen now. I yelled, caring less of her reaction. There was a sudden burst and the window shuttered down. A black wolf leaped in looking deadly, its eyes and drooling mouth pinned on the old woman. The old woman looked so scared that the glass jug tripped out of her hands. I pushed her away from the charging wolf’s attack. I held it by its neck and flung it back from where it came from, landing with a loud groan.
This is what I was avoiding. Those puppies are in a worse state of confusion that they’d bring harm to anyone they lay their eyes on. I don’t know how I’d have faced your granddaughter if something happened to you. I told the old woman with an alarmed look.
I’m sorry for giving you a hard time. Catriona told me to expect this wolf thing but I didn’t expect it to be this scary. She said with a trembling voice. It’s just…. Just… I mean, it’s time for her brother’s medicine and we were out of water.
Okay, I understand. Now leave because things don’t look good at all. Freya, I need you in the kitchen now. I mindlinked with one of the elders I gave orders to keep everybody inside.
“On my way alpha.” She mindlinked back. She’ll have to give me a good explanation.
I turned to the old woman. My heart started pounding in beats when I saw blood oozing out of her left upper thigh. She must’ve fallen on a broken glass when I pushed her. Freya came into the kitchen in the fastest way. I heaved a sigh of relief. She saved me from this work.
Forgive me alpha for being….
I cut her off. Save that for later and take care of her. I graved. Both women flinched.
Oh no, this is not good. The glass is very deep so you won’t be able to walk by yourself. The elder said and looked up at me. I raked my fingers through my hair, pulling myself together. Freya your a fucking wolf. And a strong one. So I expect you to act smart and fast before she dries out of blood.
My phone chimed up and the message from Jayden popped up. Before I could open it there was another scream. When is this madness going to end? I heaved another sigh before jumping out through the open kitchen window. The glasses scratched my jeans and onto my skin but that was the least of my problems. My pack in their human forms and others in their wolves were fighting hard to calm the fucking puppies but they’re just becoming aggressive.
You all better behave yourselves before I rip your damn throats out. I screamed using my alpha tone. There was a moment of pause. This isn’t your alpha’s pack. You’re in my pack. My pack, my people, my orders. If any of you puppies have an objection to that I’ll tell my worriers here to kick your asses’ lives out. You’ll get it? I yelled. “Silence again.” Now calm the fuck down. Don’t make it hard on my people. Most of them listened and trudged towards where we will be sheltering them.
The ones with big heads led by the one who broke my window provoked my patience by lunging at one of my people and digging its teeth in his hand. I half shifted and grabbed the fucking wolf, pinned it under me and pulled out his throat and throwed it infront of others. They retreat back except for another female wolf. Who rule these stupid pups? I wondered, yet knowing the answer.
That was my husband you killed you bustard. I don’t give a fuck who you are because I’m going to kill you myself. She screamed her lungs out before shifting. I thumbed her midair and hurled her backwards. She fell flat on the steps. She shifted back to human and stifled a painful scream.
I furrowed my brows to the little heartbeat I heard inside her. She’s pregnant. Did I just hurt a pregnant woman?
