His eyes are closed, he looks so peaceful yet troubled.
“Which are?” I pry, closing my eyes, too. Feeling every moved, every touch. Hearing his breath, the sweet music, my heartbeat.
“A lot. But first is not dancing with you at the Ball.”
I chuckled. “You should regret that. I looked awesome that night and now you have a big belly between us as we dance.”
Aiden chuckled. “You are beyond amazing even until now, baby. Our child made you even more beautiful though I would like to squeeze you in my arms right now and he is getting in the way.”
I laughed and slap his shoulder lightly. “Don’t bully him! He might come out any moment if you keep complaining.”
“Oh, he should. He kept getting my way a lot of times.” he pulled away and looked at me with a huge grin on his face.
“How could you say that!”
He pouted his lips, and I know he is thinking about something again!
“This will sound selfish, baby, but once Quillon is born, I promise you more sleepless night.”
My cheeks flushed hot from the thoughts that run to my mind because of what he said! I can’t believe this guy!
Aiden chuckled and drew me closer to him. I quickly rested my head on his chest, hiding the embarrassment given by my naughty mind while Aiden just laughed more.
“I hate you.” I mumbled.
“You don’t mean that.” he countered.
Hmp! “Yeah, I don’t.”
Aiden chuckled and planted soft kisses on my head. “I love you, baby…” he whispered and I blushed even more.
I kept on hearing those words from time to time but I still love how it sounds in my ears. That husky, sweet, soft voice saying those words just gave more sincerity and I felt how true it is from hearing the beating of his heart.
I smiled. “I love you more…”
He pulled away to give me a long satisfying kiss.
On that night, while the wind blows, the fire glows and our people witnessed our love, I know from the depth of my heart that I will never get lost. I accepted my fate and I won’t stop loving Aiden.

Aiden’s POV
“Ahhhhhh!” Ashira screamed in pain.
“Fuck! Go get Zynia!” I ordered Nick. It’s time for Ashira to give birth! The moment we came home from the pack party, her water broke and now she won’t stop screaming as she lay on a hospital bed I prepared for this day.
“Baby, I’m here. I’m here.” I tried consoling her since she holds my hand so tight like she’s afraid to let it go. “FASTER!” I shouted to Nick again.
I don’t know what to do. Fuck! She’s hurting! She’s in pain!
“Aiden!!! Ahhhh!”
“Baby, please, please, shift. Shift on your wolf.”
“N-No! Ahhhh! It fu*cking hurts!”
Fuck! Why is she so stubborn! From the amount of pain I see she’s in, I know its too much! Will she be able to do this?
“Ashira! Listen to me and shift now!”
“Don’t start an argument about this, Aiden! Ahhh!”
“No! Shift or I’ll make you shift!” I can order her to. I can use my power to command her. She is my Luna but I’m still the Alpha-
“No.” she tried calming herself by blowing breathes. “P-Please trust me on t-this. I w-won’t leave you this t-time.”
Her words slap me hard that I awaken from the darkest corner I been wandering. I kept denying it but now I truly admit defeat with the fear of losing her for real.
“I will take it from here, Alpha Aiden.” Zynia came and I took a step back, letting her do what needed to be done. “Ava! Get some warm water and towel!”
I just stood there, watching my mate scream, be in pain, drowning in her cries but… trusting her.
Those days that the Alpha King healed her, three days of waiting for her to wake up, is pure hell.
What I felt that time is different from when she was taken by Elon. Those days, she’s on my grasp, she is with me but I don’t know if she really is.
She didn’t wake up the same time given by the King, she is alive, I can still hear the sound of her heart beating that day. I never intend to stop hearing those heartbeat, afraid that it may stop.
I was devastated, scared but held none but to hope. I hoped, I prayed, I begged for her to be fine, for her to wake up, for her to be alive.
Multiple times that I told myself its okay that she is stolen but please keep her alive, let me see her eyes open, let me see her doing anything but laying on our bed in deep slumber.
And now, I’m scared that she won’t make it as she deliver our baby. I’ve known a lot of Luna who lose their life giving birth. I don’t want to lose her this soon. I can’t live, I know I won’t be able to.
I’m selfish, I know. But I want her with me. She is the only thing that I see necessary, a gem I can’t afford losing or I will trade my life.
But Ashira is right. I need to trust her. She can do this. She will deliver our baby and both of us will raise our son.
It’s a boy. I know its a boy because I heard it spoke to me before. It’s a boy.
You can do this, my love. I silently cheered.
“Uwaaa!” a child’s cry echoed in the room and I feel like I saw a different color, a newfound life. I quickly went beside my mate, grabbing her hands with both of mine, feeling her pulse, hearing if it beats just right.
“I-I made it…” she seems too weak but when she smiled, I almost cried.
Leaning in, I gave her a kiss in the forehead. “You did, baby. Thank you…” Thank you for being alive, being with me, giving birth to our child, for giving me life. I wanted to say a lot but I can’t utter any more words.
“It’s a boy!” Zynia shouted and the people inside the room cheered!
“L-Let me hold h-him…” Ashira begged.
I went to Zynia and my mouth parted as I saw my son.
‘Everyone get out!’ I ordered to Ava, Seth and Nick. I looked at Zynia and we both got terrified.
My son’s eyes are oceanic blue! A Blue Paraiba Tourmaline shade of eyes!
