“Or you could meet us at Ravenous.”
But they are the nearest pack to Elon. A six hours ride, at most.
He nodded. “When are you planning the attack?”
I closed my eyes and inhaled, filling my lungs with air, trying to straighten my head. I can’t make a mistake. I should not.
I opened my eyes, feeling that everything was placed in the right tracks.
“Tomorrow, when the moon has fully risen, we will start the attack.”
The both of them nodded, probably feeling the need to attack soon, too.
“Thank you for this cooperation-”
“Thank us once its done.” David cut me off with a small smile.
“Hang on, brother. We’ll win this then you’ll let me kick your ass.” Aros joked and I just smiled. We are of the same age, known each other since we’re a pup but since his distance is far, we often bond unlike Jacob and I.
The conference has ended when the screen has turned off.
“You didn’t tell them that Ash was a stealer, Aiden.” Nick said as I sat on my chair.
“I don’t need to.”
Telling them may only blurred their thoughts and the last thing I would want is for my ally to question the bond I have with Ashira.
“And David already knew. Ashira was a former Regal wolf, an adopted child of the Beta, that news won’t escape his ears.”
Silence filled the room and I can feel that Nick’s head was filled with thoughts.
“What is it, Nick?” I decided to initiate, hating the feeling of thinking what’s running inside his head when I already had a lot to think about.
“I’m just worried about Ashira. What if Elon found out about her pregnancy?”
Nick always says the right words as if reading through my mind. And what he said is exactly what kept distracting me.
“Can you call our visitors? I need Zynia’s perception to this.”
Nick nodded and exited the room.
My head is wandering with unpleasant thoughts and its killing me.
It’s hard to keep being tough and strong when I feel so vulnerable inside.
Ashira’s POV
How long have I been in this dark room? Ten hours? More? I lost count of the time but I’m sure every second was slow, painful. It was as if I’m in a vehicle, full of excitement to reach a place but the ride is too slow.
Will you ever come for me?
I gasped and slapped my hand on my head, grabbing on the lose strands of my hair, angered by the thought that past by my mind.
Of course, he will.
Aiden will come for me. I knew he would. I hope he will but its not even necessary to hope because I know, even if I can’t feel our bond right now, he will save me.
The potion kept making me feel nauseous but not to the point of vomiting. I just need to keep my eyes closed, avoiding the sight of swirling surroundings.
I don’t feel alone. I feel complete, and I knew that was because of the mate bond between me and Aiden. The potion might have affected my senses but I can still feel him inside me.
I still wonder why the potion’s effect hasn’t left my body though. It fades fast before, now it didn’t. Just when I need to reach Aiden’s mind, luck left my side.
Mind-link has a certain distance to work. The portal also has its limit but the connection between mates have no limit. So wherever I am, may it be the distance or a wolf-proofed place, I could still reach him.
I should just wait for the potion to dry down my system.
Rustles on the door made me jumped, snapping my eyes towards the closed door. Elon entered the room, his brow was raised as his eyes found me, then he showed his goofy evil smile.
“Hello, wife.” his voice were teasing, making fun of me.
I growled.
“I am not your wife.” I spat the words like poison but he just laughed like I’ve said something funny for him.
“Oh, yeah. I don’t need you to be my wife. What should I call you? Babymaker? My bitch?” he looked up, thinking. “Hmm, the latter sounds right.”
I trembled, not from fear, but from wrath I feel towards him.
“Fuck you.” I spit on the floor. “Free me from these chains so I could kill you!”
“HAHAHA! KILL ME? ME? I’m an Alpha, bitch. What made you think you can even scratch me?”
My teeth gritted together. “I’m a Luna with a pack empowering me. Let me go and I’ll show you what I can do!”
I tried to lose the restraints but couldn’t. The effects of the potion still runs on my vein and these silver chains forbade me to use any of my power left.
His eyes narrowed but I can read on it how he finds me entertaining. He’s not taking me seriously, at all. But what should I expect from a heartless dog like him?
“Fierce, but do you know? I love bedding a wild cat tied on my bed, powerless. Such a temptress, you are.”
My chest is heaving and I could feel my blood boiling from anger. He’s right, I don’t have the strength to fight him right now. But if I’ll have a chance to, I don’t care if I need to die.
Death is better than giving this bastard a pup to continue his legacy. A child to inherit his rotten attitude and beliefs is not entitled to even exist. And I rather die than to make his plans possible.
“Oh, well. I don’t need your cooperation, anyway. In your state, what do you think can I do?”
I did not speak. Tears started swelling out of my eyes but not from anger alone, I fear for what he could do to me because right now, I’m nothing but a helpless prey.
“I can do this,”
In one swift move, he is standing in front of me. He held my neck with one hand, choking me as he lift me off the ground. I coughed multiple times and once again, I felt my world shaking. I’m getting dizzy and the lack of oxygen made my stomach churns.
His other hand caress my arm, down to my wrists where the chains are. He tugged on it downwards, tightening the chains and choking me more as he pulled me down and his straggling stops my body to follow.
“See? You can’t do anything, right?”
He let go and I coughed more, choking on my own saliva. I felt my blood moved back to my head, drained for a while, caught by his force.
