“Oh, Ash.” he moaned as the last drop of his liquid was released. I felt full, overwhelmed. He came hard and I came the same, multiple times.
Aiden dropped his body to mine, his elbow leaning on the ground for support. Our breathes were ragged and fast, thoughtless of our surrounding.
“I love you, baby.” Aiden whispered in my ear, planting a soft kiss on my temple, breathe still ragged.
One thing I knew, I loved everything about him and him loving everything about me made me love him more. There’s no denying that what I felt is no more because of the mate bond. I’ll still love him even without the line that binds us.
“I love you, too.”

Aiden’s POv
Ashira was in her wolf form, standing in front of The Ancestral, unsure with the idea of entering the house in her wolf. I sighed. I never thought of this as an issue. I used to do that all the time before.
“Come on, you could come inside even in your wolf.” I urged.
‘I’ll break something! My tail would probably wiggle on one of your antiques, Aiden.’ She answered through our link. Oh well, I did broke few.
The house is big, yes, but a werewolf is twice the width and length of a human. But so what?
“Who cares about the vases? Just go inside and change.”
‘But-!”
“I order you to break every vases in your way. Just don’t insist on shifting to your human or I’ll punish you.”
Ashira’s beautiful white wolf turned to me with narrowed eyes. I kept a serious face, trying to tell her that I’m far from kidding.
“That’s not a threat.” I added.
She made a wolfy ‘hmped’ and looked away, she also started walking to the house. I watched her carefully walking in the double doors and I almost laughed from how she almost crawl.
“You’ll fit in, honey!” I shouted playfully. Ashira growled at me but didn’t looked back. I laughed.
Its been too long since my house had a female touch in it. I can’t recall anyone minding the furniture and decorations aside from my mother. The thought of Ashira acting this way made me smile, a familiar warmth caressed my chest.
A loud sound of a ceramic shattering made me laugh hard.
‘I told you!’ she nagged in my head.
“That’s alright. It’s only a hundred years old.” I teased but I didn’t know exactly what she broke inside.
‘Oh, God!’ I laughed even more. ‘Aiden!’ she’s definitely pissed as she realized I’m making fun of her situation.
“I’ll just talk with Z now. I’ll be back before you finished cleaning up.” I said with my mind.
‘Okay.’
With a huge smile, I headed to the basement.
There’s a lot of foreign changes in Ashira that I’d like to clear with Zynia. They both have the same abnormality and I knew asking her is easier rather than investigating on my own.
Aiden’s POV
‘Aiden.’
I was about to walk down the to the basement when Nick reached my mind. The tone in my Beta’s voice made me halt my steps, he’s troubled about something and it sounded important to me.
‘Any problem?’ I asked, jumping to the point. Nick have this side where he kept taking the long road before saying what the problem is. And I know there’s a problem.
‘I need you at the hall. Are you available right now?’
See what I mean? I sighed and looked down the stairs. The talk with Zynia could wait.
‘I’ll be there.’
I turned and went to where my truck was parked, sliding on the driver’s seat and switching the engine on.
‘There’s some change of plans. I’m needed at work. I’ll talk to Z once I got back.’ I mind-linked Ashira so she would know where I’ll be.
‘Is everything all right?’ she asked.
‘I don’t know yet but if there is, I’m sure its a minor trouble.’
Well, from the way Nick called on me, it’s nothing major. If it is, I’m sure he will be hell-bent on telling me what the problem could be.
Which he didn’t.
‘Okay, take care.’
I called on to Seth as I drove, checking if he’s around and he confirmed he does. I can’t left Ashira alone and though Seth always got trap with my mate’s troublesome behaviour at time, he’s the most trusted person for her protection.
I reached the Hall fast and Nick was already standing in front of the building as I turned the engine off.
“What seems to be the problem?” I headed inside the Hall and he walked beside me.
“It’s the Ravenous pack.” he answered. I stopped walking and gave him the look.
What is it this time?
Nick gave me an ‘I-know-right-look’ and I sighed, continued walking to my office as this conversation needed privacy.
I sat on my chair and Nick started talking the moment the door was closed. “No one in that rotten pack has coordinated with us. They won’t answer to our call, they won’t let our shifters to enter their territory to converse. Something was off.”
The peace treaty between our packs has been lifted today, and Elon was being stubborn already. Though I would say that this is the first time they barred us off before a contract renewal. Which is not usual, at all.
“Station some watchers around their land, observe their movements from a safe distance.”
“I’ll arrange it immediately. But our members can’t get too close or else it will look to them that we’re spying.”
I smirked. “We are.”
If Elon is involved, I’ll definitely break every rules. If not for my pack, I would’ve provoked him so he could start a war for me to finish.
Nick sighed and scratched the back of his head. “I know. But it will look that we want to start a war.”
I turned my chair and looked at the wall. My eyes lingered on my father’s portrait with my mother beside him.
