My eyes darted back to Elon when he was once again standing in front of me. “I didn’t command an attack to your pack, Aiden. I hope this clears any doubt you had.” Elon said and crushed the hearts, making the blood squirts on his body.
I shook my head in disbelief. He just took five of his own to prove a point?
‘That looks even more shady than it already is.’ Nick said through my mind that I almost laughed.
‘He’s trying to stop them from talking.’ I said. Elon think he made a wise move but I’m far from being tricked with those child moves.
Nick chuckled beside me and I saw Elon raise his brow at him, unaware of our private conversation.
I cleared my throat to stop myself from joining Nick’s bold ripost.
“You can take your men home since their outside my land otherwise I would have just burn them.” I said to Elon.
I noticed Tharus clenching his jaw like he was against of something while beta Marion was just watching me, almost waiting for me to make a move.
“I hope this won’t taint anything of our alliance.” Elon said sincerely but smirked. That face, how would I even trust that psychotic expression?
“Everything between us was soiled from the beginning, Elon. This adds up to that but I’ll let this slide in respect of your…” I looked at the poor wolves he probably tricked. “fallen soldiers.”
He chuckled then quickly changed his expression to a serious one. “I’ll see you tomorrow at midnight for the renewal of the treaty, yeah?”
My jaw clenches. “Tomorrow. At midnight.” I confirmed even though I’m thinking of just continuing having a war with his pack because of what happened now.
He chuckled and nodded before turning his head on the side. “Get their bodies.” he ordered behind him before looking back to catch my eyes, not even smiling. “We’re going home.” he said and turn around. I watched him jump over the ravine and to the other side of the cliff as he went home first before his comrades.
What a lousy leader.
I watched the three of ravenous high council and they stopped eyeing me before starting to pick up the bodies on their front, five bodies with round holes on the chest. I shook my head.
“Let’s go, Nick.” I said as I turned to head back to the pack perimeters. Almost a hundred of my fighters was arriving but they slowed down as they interprets that everything was over. “Go search the perimeters and attend the wounded. There’s no threat for a war.” I said and they scattered after bowing to me.
I sighed.
“This is a grave disturbance.” I complained, shaking my head as I continued walking back home, watching more dead wolves on the way.
“Are you sure to let this go, Aiden?” Nick whispered, being cautious of the outsiders to hear us.
“All this was just a facade but since Elon killed the possible witnesses to know what’s behind of this attack, we have no hold to the matter anymore.” I even killed some because I didn’t thought it will end this way.
I knew I would’ve gain some information from the last ravenous wolves but Elon’s arrival was a planned thing.
“I just don’t get it. Did he did this to get back to you for not permitting his entry to the pack land?”
“Maybe or maybe not. I’m not sure of what’s behind this.”
“This is too much to return the rudeness. He sacrificed his own family, he even killed five!”
I sighed. Pack is family. As an Alpha, its hard to take your own pack’s life. The pain was mirrored every time a member dies but Elon must’ve no heart for doing that.
I didn’t bother to respond. My mind was filled with thoughts, brainstorming of the possible reason that made Elon do this shit.
If he wants to be disrespectful because I did the same to him, this is too much. Though I knew he’s not capable of returning the rudeness I did in another way rather than this foolish plan.
But, is that it?
WE REACHED THE ANCESTRAL and I saw Ashira runs to the front door as she catched my scent. Behind him is where Seth follows lazily.
I’ve been thinking the same stuff until reaching here but upon seeing Ashira’s worried face, my mind made a hard reset. Suddenly, my mood had lighten and my body stopped stiffening.
“I heard what happened. Is everyone alright?” Ashira asked when I reached near, her angelic soft voice instantly sounds music into my ears. Calming me completely.
I wanted to snake my arms around her waist and pull her closer but I got blood all over my arm and shirt. Instead, I leaned and kissed her forehead. Nick and Seth talked and entered the house, giving us some space alone.
“Nobody died but five wolves was wounded badly.” I watched her face and smiled weakly, mesmerized by those emerald eyes piercing right through my soul.
“A-Are you hurt?” she asked, feeling uneasy of my presence. I always saw her like this when I’m around and I think she looked cute. I bit my lip to supress the smile, afraid to tease her when she’s worried of my sake.
“No one could hurt me, baby.” I whispered. I badly wanted to embrace her but I’m too stained with blood and wouldn’t like to dirt this angel.
I leaned and gave her a tender kiss. My body reacted quickly when my lips touched the her soft and full lips. I groaned and break from the kiss before I could reach my limit.
I looked at her and smiled when I saw her eyes closed. She bowed her head and sigh before a pair of green eyes greeted me once more.
“I’ll just take a bath. Why did you left the basement?” I thought she’ll be entertained asking more questions to Zynia while I’m gone.
She pouted and I bit my lip when she turned her eyes to look elsewhere but mine. “I was worried and…” I smirked from her confession.
I put my hands up and swipe some of her loose hair back to the back of her ears. “And?”
She crinkled her nose. “I couldn’t stand the… scent. I thought it’ll be gone for a few minutes but I kept smelling it until I left the room.”
I frowned. “Was it that bad?”
She nodded furiously. Oh, cutie. “It is. It’s too sweet and almost painful to smell. It’s irritating.”
I laughed. “Maybe you’re yet used to it.” I kissed her forehead once more. “Let’s go inside. Stay with the boys, I’ll just take a quick shower.”
She nodded and we headed inside the ancestral and parted ways. She walked towards the kitchen where Seth and Nick was and I climb the stairs to our bedroom.
I sighed as I felt my bursting manhood. This is the only part of me that can’t seem to calm down whenever around her.
With that thought, my wolf laughed at me and I just rolled my eyes.
Ashira’s POV
“That’s heartless.” I commented.
Nick and Seth was talking about what had happened and I was petrified by what Elon did to his wolves. He freaking killed his own family! And for what?! I haven’t met the guy but I can tell that he’s out of sanity!
The two were discussing that what happened seemed like a scheme but they can’t point any possible reason for Elon to commence it.
But for me, even if that was a play or those wolves did in-surge against their Aplha, Elon had no right to take a life easily like that!
“He was keeping something. I bet he planned that attack and wanted to came clean.” Nick concludes.
I scoffed. “He shouldn’t be an Alpha. He’s staining a very respectful title and an important position with his way of leading.”
Seth nodded to agree with my statement and Nick just sighed in frustration.
