Chapter 103

Book:Call me Alpha Published:2024-6-4

I stopped mid sentence. Oh heck. Yeah, I did.
Aiden chuckled again. We’re already standing up and I’m now walking slowly in front of him. He’s still got my hand so I can’t rush my steps even if I want to.
I felt Aiden’s body at my back and I’m shunned once more.
“I got no problem if you’d like to jump on me, baby.” He teased!
My eyes grew large and round. “Aiden!”
He laughed and pushed me while walking behind me. I didn’t had the chance to defend my side.
Oh well, what to defend?
“Wait, you didn’t do anything bad to Seth, right?” I asked. I can’t look at him because he kept pushing me to continue walking.
“I’m into it.”
“No! I meant, don’t punish him. He’s not responsible for what-”
“I’ll think about it. Don’t push it now, Ashira. I can be repulsive.”
Oh damn.
I decided to keep my mouth shut because we’re near his office. I’ll talk with him about this later.
We reached the office and I sat on a couch where Nick and Seth was across me. Aiden went in last and locked the door.
“You can start, baby.” Aiden said when he sat on his office table. He smirked at me after. Ugh. Why does it seems like he got a grudge or something?
Nick and Seth looked at me operatively as Aiden said that.
“Uh, so this guy’s name is Zeke. He’s a rogue and he claim that he’s the son of Zynia and Alpha Zeuracious.” I started. I gulped when no one butt in or cut me off for questions.
Okay, I guess I’ll be doing most of the talking.
“He didn’t harm me. As I was running behind Lucianna to -uh- to escape. I-I mean, so Lucy can escape. He sort of snatched me and dragged me West into this mini cave-like under a huge tree.”
“He made me drink a potion-as he calls it- and said it will conceal our presence and I guess it worked because no one did find us.”
“Tell us what he liked to talk about, baby.”
I scoffed when I heard Aiden called me ‘baby’ once more. Okay. Fuckitty fu*ck. Was he angry?
The way he calls me that was so annoying. Like, he’s adding sarcasm into it.
“He wants Aiden’s blood.” I said more to the two guys to the named-man itself. I even rolled my eyes at him.
Nick hissed and Seth shook his head.
“My blood? He wants my blood?” Aiden said with a squinting eyes.
“Yes, not for-fun-want but he said he needed your blood because Zynia was ill and he needed Zeuracious’ blood as the cure for Jorhia’s curse.”
“That’s odd, Ash. If he is Zeuracious’ son then he got the same blo-”
“It’s mixed with Zynia. He needed another related blood and Aiden is the only one alive in their bloodline.”
Everyone was silent.
I eyed them one by one. Nick seems drowned in thoughts. Seth can’t stop fidgeting and Aiden, well, he’s still composed and calm.
Can I ever get into his head?
“Did he mention what curse it is?” Seth asked.
I shook my head. “No. We had no time to talk more because the potion’s side-effects made me dizzy and he needed to return me in the house.”
Another silence so I kept going.
“He said that if you’ll agree, you can meet him tomorrow at the place where you first met.” I said to Aiden. He was still looking at me and there is no reaction from his face. At all.
Nick stood up and went to Aiden’s side. He murmured about something and Aiden nodded his head.
“I’m far from agreeing. But I’d like to learn more. By then, I’ll decide.” Aiden said in a stern serious voice.
I sighed from relief. That’s better than saying ‘NO’ instantly, isn’t it?
“We’ll meet him tomorrow.” Aiden said and went behind his desk. He looked like he’s about to continue some works and Nick signaled Seth to go out.
I’m not breathing as the two went out of the office. Seth gave me a small nod and they’re gone.
I walked to the center of his office and stopped just in front of Aiden’s table. Not too near.
“Thank you for considering this.”
He looked at me through his lashes. He seems aloof and pissed off but I don’t know from what.
When he said nothing, I decided to turn around and excuse myself.
“I’m only considering this because he didn’t harm you, Ashira.”
I stopped and turned to look at him. He was now leaning on his chair and looking at me intently. His eyes are serious, full of emotion and deep.
“I won’t punish Seth either but the next time you put yourself in a possible danger, I would be at my edge.”
I gulped from how strong and powerful his words and voice hit me.
I nodded slowly. “I’ll be careful next time.”
I watched him bit his lip and inhaled before nodding before looking back at his paperworks.
I turned my heel and walked out of his office. Right outside, I saw Seth leaning on the wall.
“Seth.” I greeted. “Are you okay?”
He looked down at me and smiled. “Kinda heard you guys.” Then he pointed at the close door. “Left the door open.”
“Oh.” I said and smiled.
