Chapter 3

Book:Call me Alpha Published:2024-6-4

Once my blood dropped on the map, it was quickly absorbed.
That explains why there’s no stain of blood in the map after all those girls before me.
I put the knife down inside the box again. I almost growled when the enchantress took my hand hastily.
Her move is fast, it also made me think she’s weird.
She wrapped my hand with a red cloth just like what others have.
After, she looked at the map, waiting for the result. I did the same.
I looked at the map as well. There’s no light from it yet. I was pretty sure Lucy said it will glow or something.
A few seconds and a round little glow was visible in a part of the map.
The enchantress’s eyes looked even bored than it already is.
“Prime pack.” She announced, no emotion can be detected in her voice.
Once informed of where my mate will be, I started turning my back to the enchantress. It’s all done.
I was about to take a step when another light showed on the map. And then another, and another. Almost every part of the map are glowing!
The map took my entire attention. I’m not sure what’s happening and confusion sure displayed on my face.
“What-” I was avout to ask but I stopped before I could.
I don’t understand any of
it. The map and its glowing lights are too distracting. My wolf have a lot of questions. Confusion and fear slowly crawled on me.
The Enchantress’s expression didn’t help me at all. She looked shocked. With a light fear.
“W-What’s happening…” I managed to ask. Is this supposed to happen?
“You’re a stealer!” She screamed.
Her voice sounds hysterical. From the sound of her voice and her expression, I know there’s something wrong.
Stealer? I’m not a freakin’ theft!
But what does she exactly mean?
I slowly walked backwards. Away from the table. Away from the map. Away from the Enchantress.
‘Ashira. Go home. Now!’
That was Eric talking to me through our mind link.
I didn’t think twice when I heard him. I ran fast, heading outside of the house.
Lucy was about to come near me but I immediately shapeshifted into my beautiful white wolf.
Me and my wolf is so confused. I can hear my wolf whining. And somehow, she sounded angry.
I can hear Lucy calls my name but I did not bother looking back.
I ran towards home. All I want now is a talk with Eric.
He must know something about this stealer thing or else.. I’ll go insane.

Cruz’s POV
“Ashi’s on her way.” I told my Dad, Eric. “I don’t understand what’s happening, Dad.” My voice can’t stop sounding frustrated.
I was with my Dad on a pack meeting when Dad received a message from the enchantress through mind link.
He’s the Beta. Every concern comes to him.
Today was the Mapping where the She-Wolves who reached the age of eighteen will know where their mate is from.
Something goes wrong with Ashira’s mapping process. That’s what I was sure of.
We immediately drove home once we received the news.
“Let’s wait for Ashira. She must be looking for answers, as well. Once she’s home, we’ll talk.”
My Dad said and he entered the door to his study. My mom, Ophelia, followed right after.
My Dad is the Beta of our pack. Regal pack. Alpha David’s son, Victor, will take over the pack in a few weeks. He’ll be given the Alpha title once his 21st birthday comes.
My Dad, as the Beta, will also step down once Alpha David invoke his title as Alpha. That’s when I’ll take over the Beta position.
I heard loud thud of a Wolf getting nearer. My sense of smell tells me it was Ashira.
I ran towards the back door. She must have shifted! I took a robe hanging as I’m on my way out.
Ashira’s white wolf stopped in front of me. Her wolf is really beautiful. She’s not my real sister but I treat her like one.
I prepare the robe and held it wide with both hands. I made sure that the robe will conceal Ashira’s naked body from my eyes once she shift back.
‘Close your eyes’ her wolf said to me through our mind link. I did.
Like hell I’ll like to see that. I thought, almost rolling my eyes.
I felt her grabbing the robe from my hands.
A few seconds later, I opened my eyes, her being wrapped with the robe.
“What happened?” I asked. Ashira walked past me. She walked inside the house, probably toward my Dad.
“I don’t know. Something went wrong with my mapping. I’m yet aware of what that means.”
I followed her as we walked inside our Dad’s study.
That is already seated on his chair, holding an old book. My mother standing beside him.
