“Mom! Let’s talk about these things later! Ms. Bowman came to see Olivia, probably with something to discuss!” Francisco smiled at Ranita and straightened his posture slightly. “Ms. Bowman, sorry, but we’ll be leaving now.”
Ranita found Francisco quite slick. However, since Olivia liked him and they were about to get married, she didn’t want to interfere and cause any discomfort for Olivia. So she didn’t say much, just gave Olivia a reassuring look. Olivia then said, “We were planning to buy a house for our wedding, but…”
Olivia used to be happy about getting married, but today Francisco had disappointed her. So there was no guarantee that the wedding would happen!
“Olivia, why don’t you care about Francisco? Yes, he has a high salary, but the cost of living in Steland is so high! Just buying a house casually costs millions. And then there’s the mortgage, car expenses, raising children-Francisco will be exhausted!” Saniyah said.
“You had a house before, right? Well, how about adding Francisco’s name to it? If you do that, I’ll forgive you for this incident today,” she continued.
Upon hearing this, even Ranita couldn’t help but sneer. “You’re truly ridiculous. What does Olivia need forgiveness for? Besides, who are you to her? Your son hasn’t even married Olivia yet!”
“As for the house, it was given to Olivia for her years of hard work for me. It’s her personal property. Do you have the audacity to ask for your son’s name to be added?” Ranita said.
Saniyah became displeased upon hearing this. Her voice became sharper and more grating as she said, “Ms. Bowman, isn’t this a private matter between us? It’s not appropriate for an outsider like you to meddle!”
Ranita furrowed her brows and looked at Olivia, who remained silent. This was indeed Olivia’s private matter, and Ranita wasn’t sure how Olivia felt about Francisco. It was probably best not to say anything further.
“Olivia, don’t you agree with what I said? I’m doing this for your own good…”
“That’s enough!” Olivia wasn’t a pushover. She had seen Saniyah before and had chosen to tolerate her, thinking that married life was between two people. She intended to live with Francisco after marriage, which is why she had put up with Saniyah. But today, she had seen enough.
Francisco had been standing there for so long, and apart from being conciliatory, he hadn’t said a single word in her defense! This kind of Francisco was a huge disappointment to her.
“Ranita is right! That house was given to me by her as my pre-marital property, and I won’t add Francisco’s name to it. Also, I haven’t done anything to betray Francisco. I’m a bit tired now, so please leave!”
Olivia glanced at Francisco, her eyes filled with sadness and sorrow.
“Francisco, take your mother back to Steland! I don’t need your care here!”
Saniyah exploded upon hearing this. “Olivia, you dare to disrespect us like this? Listen carefully, if you don’t add Francisco’s name to the property deed, don’t even think about getting married!”
