Ranita thought she wouldn’t be able to sleep, but being next to Brendon, her heart felt encompassed by warmth, giving her a sense of security.
However, Ranita couldn’t fall into a deep sleep. She was in a daze.
And she felt hot all over, as if being roasted by fire… Ranita was awakened by the heat.
She opened her eyes and looked at the sleeping Brendon. It took her a while to realize that she was sleeping on the same bed as Brendon.
“Gululu!” Ranita swallowed her saliva and tried to move her body, but her face turned red in embarrassment.
Brendon was holding her too tightly.
It felt like hugging a pillow, with his entire body embracing her, their bodies intimately pressed together, allowing Ranita to clearly feel every part of the man.
Ranita wanted to quietly get out of bed, but Brendon opened his eyes as soon as she moved. He probably slept too late, his eyes were slightly red, and his voice sounded tired and hoarse.
“Why don’t you sleep a little longer?”
“You go ahead and sleep, I… I’ll go freshen up… for a while…” Ranita mumbled, feeling her mind becoming fuzzy.
She yawned, feeling a bit sleepy.
“You sleep a little longer, I’ll take care of other things!” Brendon reached out and patted her back. “Be a good girl!”
Ranita blushed even more at his teasing words. “You’re coaxing a child, how immature.”
They used to treat each other with respect, and Ranita had never been coaxed like this before. It made her heart feel as sweet as honey.
Brendon chuckled softly. “So, are you going to sleep or not?”
Ranita pushed his hand away. “I’m getting up… to use the bathroom.”
Ranita hurriedly left the room.
She took a moment to calm down in the bathroom but hesitated to go back. At that moment, there was a knock on the door.
It was the hotel manager, accompanied by two police officers.
After learning about the situation, one of the officers communicated with Ranita, while the other went to check the surveillance footage.
Half an hour later, the officer who checked the footage returned and explained, “We carefully reviewed the surveillance footage, but the person was wearing a hat and a mask, so we couldn’t clearly see their facial features. We need some time, and if there’s any information, we’ll inform you promptly.”
“We’re still unclear about the motive of the other party. I suggest you consider changing to another room.” The officer gave a few safety reminders and then left.
“Ranita, staying in a hotel is not safe. How about you and Ayaan move back to the apartment?” Brendon suggested.
Ranita shook her head. “No need. I’ll be busy for the next couple of days and then I’ll return to Steland.”
“It’s inconvenient to keep moving back and forth.” Ranita turned to the hotel manager and said, “Help me change to another room!”
“And also, shouldn’t you also pay attention to the safety issue? I hope you can give me a response as soon as possible.”

After dismissing the hotel manager, Ranita started packing her things. Brendon didn’t say anything else and helped her pack.
“You don’t need to do anything, I can handle it myself.” Ranita busily held him back. “I don’t have much left to do here. Why don’t you go back first?”
