Ranita’s hair stood on end under his gaze.
“You really…” she said.
“Hurry up and change clothes. Didn’t you say Ayaan is coming back?”
Brendon reluctantly let go of her hand.
Ranita’s cheeks were flushed. She gritted her teeth and found a comfortable outfit. Seeing that Brendon showed no intention of leaving, she couldn’t help but ask, “Aren’t you leaving?”
“You change yours,” Brendon said.
Ranita:…
How is that even possible! Being looked at by Brendon would be really embarrassing… And what if… Ranita looked into his eyes, which were filled with a dangerous light, and her heart raced even more.
“Why don’t you go to the bathroom and freshen up?” Brendon was handsome, and his messy hair and clothes made him even more charming. But it wouldn’t be easy to explain if he was seen by the child.
“It wouldn’t be good if Ayaan sees this when he comes back.” Ranita suggested.
Brendon went to the bathroom.
Ranita breathed a sigh of relief, but just as she took off her shirt, she heard footsteps behind her. Startled, she quickly put on a shirt, but before she could finish, Brendon hugged her.
“Brendon!” Ranita angrily tried to remove his hands, but his touch made her itch, and she couldn’t help but giggle. “Let go, it tickles.”
Brendon rubbed his chin against her neck, and his tall figure enveloped her in his arms like a wall. “Ranita, Ayaan has grown up. Shouldn’t you sleep separately from him?”
“Didn’t you see that this is a double bed?” Ranita said irritably. Then she heard the man’s frustrated voice, “So what if it’s a double bed? You’re in the same room! He’s a grown man now and shouldn’t share a room with his mother anymore…”
Ranita glanced at him, her ticklish flesh making her want to laugh even more. “What’s wrong with you? Getting jealous of a three-year-old?”
“Ayaan is a boy!” Brendon gritted his teeth and continued rubbing his head against her, his warm lips brushing against her shoulder.
Leaving a series of peculiar sensations, he bit her with his teeth.
“Brendon…” Ranita’s face turned red.
The slight pain wasn’t really hurting, but it left a bite mark on her skin, near her neck, which looked quite ambiguous.
“I have to go out tomorrow!” Ranita protested, trying to put on her home clothes, but her shoulder was held down by Brendon, who started kissing her again.
The kiss was gentle, but more intense than ever before. It was like scorching charcoal burning at the door of her heart, making her head hot, and her rationality was gradually eroded.
“Brendon… Stop kissing…” Ranita managed to squeeze out the words intermittently. “Ayaan will be back soon.”
They had agreed on half an hour, and now twenty minutes had passed.
Brendon ignored her words and continued teasing her.
Ranita’s delicate face blushed like a bright peach, especially her eyes, watery and coquettish. It was clear that she had been cherished.
Brendon took out her phone. “Call Olivia and tell her you won’t be going back tonight!”
Ranita was infuriated.
Send Olivia and Ayaan away and then stay here to bully her to his heart’s content?
“You have quite the imagination!” Ranita bit her lip and snatched the phone. Her voice was hoarse and nasal, soft and tender, which made Brendon feel as if his heart had been burned with a hole.
“Ranita…” Brendon murmured like a dissatisfied child eating candy, kissing her lips one by one.
Ranita was annoyed by his behavior and was about to speak when they heard a knock on the door and Ayaan’s cheerful voice, “Mommy should be back!”
Ranita trembled and quickly kicked Brendon. “Hide quickly!”
