Brendon paused for a moment.
Ranita still had his photo in her wallet?
In that instant, Brendon felt an indescribable joy surge through him! He was so happy that he couldn’t help but pick up Ayaan and spin around in the air.
Oh my god! Ranita secretly kept his photo and even gave birth to a child for him. She must still have feelings for him deep down inside!
This is just too wonderful!
“Ayaan, you’re such a smart little guy!”
Ayaan was smart, but he was still young, so he quickly forgot about finding a new dad when he was carried around like this, and he happily giggled, “Fly, fly… Uncle Stuart, a little higher…”
Just as Ranita came over with juice and coffee, she heard Ayaan’s cheer.
Ranita paused, peeking through the crack in the door. The chubby little one was excitedly shouting, and Ayaan would play with Steve, but not this energetically.
So, the power of blood ties is truly remarkable.
“More, more flying!” The little one hopped on his short legs, clinging to Brendon, urging him to lift him higher.
Ranita lightly knocked on the door. “Ayaan, your juice is here.”
Seeing Ranita, Ayaan immediately ran to her side, tugging at her clothes and asking, “Mommy, Uncle Stuart is amazing! He knows a lot about physics. He just told me…”
Ayaan turned his eyes and recounted some of the unfamiliar words Brendon had told him, then raised his head, seemingly waiting for praise. “Uncle Stuart, am I smart?”
“Mmm! Very smart!” Brendon’s eyes softened as he handed the juice to the little one. “Have some.”
Ayaan took a sip and generously offered it to Brendon. “Uncle Stuart, would you like some? It’s delicious…”
Ranita quickly stopped Ayaan. “Ayaan, Uncle Stuart will have something else. You drink it yourself…” Before she could finish her sentence, Brendon accepted it and said, “Thank you for sharing with me, Ayaan, but I’m an adult, so I can’t share a cup with you.”
The little bundle immediately ran out and fetched another cup. “I’ll give you half!”
Ranita’s eyes went dark. What a troublesome child!
That was her cup!
“Brendon, that’s my cup…” Ranita didn’t have time to stop him, and Brendon had already pressed his lips against the rim.
Ranita pursed her lips, feeling her own lips getting warm.
Brendon finished drinking and shrugged. “Your cup? Sorry!”
What’s the use of apologizing after drinking it all? Ranita took the cup back, along with the coffee, and walked away.
Go enjoy nothing!
Ranita snorted coldly in her heart.
Although she was quite unwilling, Ayaan rarely had the opportunity to enjoy the company of a father figure, so Ranita couldn’t bring herself to kick Brendon out.
Ayaan went to bed at exactly nine o’clock.
Ranita finally turned cold, “Mr. Stuart, you’ve stayed in my house long enough. Please leave! I need to rest!”
Brendon pressed his lips together. “Is your foot still hurting?”
“Not anymore!” As soon as she finished speaking, Ranita suddenly found herself lifted off the ground. His strong arms even shook a bit, scaring Ranita into grabbing his collar. “What are you doing?”
“Let me take a look at your foot!” Brendon placed her on the sofa and squatted down, lifting her pant leg and pinching her ankle with his fingers.
Ranita felt a slight burn and wanted to pull back, but he held her tightly. “Don’t move. The ice pack works well. Let me apply some ointment for you.”
Ranita struggled a few times but found herself unable to move.
She felt a little frustrated and asked, “Is it useless if I refuse?”
Brendon raised his gaze, his deep and narrow eyes carrying a barely perceptible smile. “As long as you understand!”
Ranita gritted her teeth, wanting to throw him out.
