**AVA**
I had bigger fishes to fry in tying up my loose ends. If the father of my child finds out that I’m pregnant before I find out who he is, I’ll have a bigger problem so that needs to be sorted out quickly.
But first, I need to inform my hit man about the new plan. I dialed his number quickly.
**Ma’am…**
**I have a new job for you. The police are acting smart so we need to close the case for them. I need you to frame someone and this time do it properly. Frame the person closest to the case, an officer but not the detective. That’ll cause more trouble but find someone. Do it properly. No mistake.**
**Consider it done.**
He said and I hung up smiling.
**Now for your stupid father my baby. **
I said rubbing my tummy.
**RICHARD **
The facial recognition software tracked the man down very quickly. We searched traffic cams and after about an hour, we finally got a hit.
“Come on guys, let’s go.”
I commanded my men as we got into the car to catch the culprit and get some answers. The sooner the case is solved, the sooner I can take Annabelle out on a proper date. It killed me to cancel on her like that. I sincerely just want to be with her every second of the day. Its hard not to seem like I’m forcing myself on her.
I just want to give her all the space she needs and hope that one day she’ll accept me into her heart.
“Detective…”
Brandon called out beside me.
“Yes.”
“We’re here.”
“Alright. Let’s move on. I want him alive. I need answers do you understand?”
“Yes Sir.”
They chorused. I nodded and we fanned out. My men surrounded his apartment and in no time we had eyes inside.
The prize was standing there, he dropped his phone like he just finished talking to someone.
“Surround him.”
I whispered and they obeyed. I stood at the side of the door and on my command, brandon and his men barged in.
The prize was in sight but little did we know, he had a trick up his sleeve as well.
A small blast threw me and three of my men off balance.
The prize was alerted and he fled, I shut my eyes as visions of my men rushing in, bullets flying before finally passing out.

**ANNABELLE**
I stepped out of the bath tub after a long and deserved bath. I stayed under water every few seconds trying to calm myself and take Fallon as well as his crazy thoughts out of my head. It barely worked but I was a little bit less tensed.
My phone was ringing on the cabinet as I tied my towel.
“Hello…”
I answered staring at the strange number.
“Is this Miss Sinclair?”
“Yes. Who’s asking?”
“I’m calling from city general hospital. It appears there was a shoot out and officers were hurt. One of them in particular was calling out for you.”
The phone slipped from my grip and a tear rolled out.
“Richard.”
I winced rushing to get dressed.
“City general hospital.”
I muttered grabbing my keys. They kept slipped from my grip. I couldn’t think straight at all.
“Oh no.”
I groaned grabbing a few notes to get a cab. I might get in an accident if I try and drive.

“Richard!”
I exclaimed breathing rapidly as I faced the nurse.
She shook her head slightly before giving me the details. I ran straight for the elevator searching for his room. Like a mad woman would.
“Oh my God.”
I sobbed staring at him.
“You’re okay! You’re okay!”
I yelled at the top of my voice rushing into his arms.
He tried to catch me but winced clearly in pain.
“You’re okay!”
I exclaimed still pecking his cheeks.
“Annabelle… I’m fine. I’m fine.”
He muttered trying hard to chuckle although it was obvious he was in pain.
“I thought something happened. I thought I’d loose you. I thought you were gone. Richard I thought….”
He cut me short by placing his lips on mine and wrapping his hands around my waist as far as he could go.
