At Kurima Airport.
Shannon got off the plane with a cold face, not saying a word all the way. Once in the car and away from prying eyes, she threw off her hat and sunglasses, her face twisted like an evil witch.
“What’s wrong?” Cindy asked with concern when she saw Shannon’s expression. “Who made you angry?”
“It’s nothing! Just drive!” Shannon smiled at Cindy, her face showing a perfect smile that was both innocent and seductive.
“That’s good to hear! Did you have any success in Berlin?” Cindy knew Shannon’s background and knew that she would eventually retire as a wealthy housewife.
As long as she could stay by Shannon’s side, it wouldn’t matter how things turned out.
Shannon felt anger rising inside of her. She didn’t have any success in Berlin this time; instead, she was filled with frustration! She forced herself to control her emotions.
“Brendon has some business to take care of so we’ll be delayed for a few days,” Shannon continued smiling. “Let’s go home now; I’m tired.”
Shannon didn’t go back to Boulderland Mansion but went straight to her private residence instead. After closing the door behind her, she sat on the large sofa without turning on any lights and called Julia, “Is everything taken care of?”
Julia gritted her teeth and said, “It’s done!”
“When will you transfer me the money?”
“As soon as I confirm it; I’ll send it over then! Until then, bear with me!” Shannon smiled again, “Don’t contact me anymore after this.”
After hanging up the phone, Shannon casually tossed it onto the sofa. Her angry mood had finally subsided somewhat.
It was such a pity that she couldn’t stay in Berlin longer to enjoy Ranita’s despairing expression. Feeling better now, Shannon played some relaxing music while pouring herself some red wine before dancing gracefully along with it – celebrating what felt like another victory!
She only hoped that Ranita learned something from this experience…
Ranita looked at Jedidiah through teary eyes, “Let’s go inside! Ayaan will get upset if we keep him waiting too long!”
“You go ahead first; I…” Jedidiah hesitated for a moment.
“Brother? Are you planning on going to see Brendon?”
“Don’t worry about it! I’m just going out for coffee!” Jedidiah patted Ranita’s hand reassuringly before heading towards Brendon alone, “Brendon? Can we talk?”
“Sure!”
The two of them went to an open place, and without saying a word, Jedidiah punched Brendon in the face!
“Bang!” The punch landed, and Brendon grimaced in pain. Jedidiah’s fierce warning echoed in his ears, “Brendon, don’t let me see you near Ranita again, and Ayaan… he has nothing to do with you, so don’t even think about it.”
Jedidiah didn’t actually want to trouble Brendon, but the thought of this scoundrel causing Ranita to give birth to a child on her own, without any concern or care, made him very angry!
“Stop!” Brendon stopped Jedidiah and the flame of anger in his heart instantly turned into a raging fire. “Who are you to say that to me?”
With an angry low growl, Brendon also didn’t hesitate to throw a punch.
Because of the situation with Ayaan, Jedidiah’s impression of Brendon had reached an all-time low. He didn’t expect this person to not only show no remorse but also directly engage in a physical altercation with him!
Jedidiah became furious and didn’t care about maintaining any decorum. He directly wrestled with Brendon.
Brendon was slightly taller and had regular exercise, so he quickly subdued Jedidiah with his strength.
Suppressing the impulse to kill him, Brendon coldly warned, “Jedidiah, if you can’t bring happiness to Ranita, don’t ever appear in front of her again! Otherwise, I’ll hit you every time I see you!”
