Four years later, at Greece Airport.
Caleb helped Brendon push the luggage, whispering, “Mr. Stuart, we’ve searched all over Greece, but there’s still no news of Miss Bowman. Is she really in Greece?”
Brendon stopped in his tracks.
He didn’t know, but this was the only place he could search.
During the first week after Ranita left Kurima, he knew she wouldn’t come back. Ranita appeared delicate and quiet, but deep down, she had a determined heart. Once she made up her mind, no one could change it.
“Maybe,” he replied.
Ring, ring! Just then, Caleb’s phone rang, and his expression changed slightly. “Mr. Stuart, Mrs. Stuart is calling again!”
Brendon had been staying in Greece for too long this time, almost half a month. Since Amiya couldn’t reach Brendon on his phone, she had to call Caleb.
“No need to answer,” Brendon said with a calm expression, walking forward.
Caleb gritted his teeth but decided to hang up.
They had been in Greece for half a month, and now they were boarding not to return home but to go to Germany. If Amiya found out, there would likely be trouble.
“Mr. Stuart… if that’s the case, we’ll miss Mrs. Stuart’s birthday celebration. The Murphy family is also coming, and we can discuss wedding matters,” Caleb reminded him.
“These are not your concerns.”
The plane took off, flying from Greece to Germany.
Brendon hadn’t slept well these days, falling asleep as soon as he boarded the plane. When he woke up, he realized the plane had made an emergency landing in Ljubljana, Slovenia, due to storm clouds.
In the waiting area, Brendon was flipping through a magazine when something rolled to his feet.
Moving the magazine, Brendon saw a little boy, about three years old, crouching at his feet, seemingly searching for something. Brendon frowned, watching the child continuously squirming under his legs…
Not only that, but he was also pulling on Brendon’s pants!
“Hey, kid!” Brendon frowned, lifting the child off the ground. “The floor is dirty! Didn’t your family tell you not to crawl on the ground?”
The child, wearing overalls and a small collared shirt, had fair skin and a plump body. What surprised Brendon the most was how handsome the child was. Big eyes, long eyelashes, a cute nose… his features were just perfect. When he grew up, he would undoubtedly be a handsome young man!
However, Brendon felt a sense of familiarity.
“Where are your family?” Brendon asked. A young blonde woman hurriedly approached, speaking in broken language, “Hi! I’m Jenny! I’m sorry if Elio bumped into you!”
“It’s okay; he didn’t bump into me,” Brendon put down the little one, who immediately ran to Jenny’s legs but soon stared curiously at Brendon.
“Elio, let’s go back and sit properly.”
“Jenny, my little ball…” The little one pointed under Brendon’s seat, his chubby little hand gesturing. “My little ball fell in there.”
Jenny picked up the ball and handed it to the little one, carrying him away.
This episode didn’t affect Brendon. He continued reading the magazine, but after a few pages, a small figure climbed into the seat next to him. Big eyes were staring at him.
“Elio, is there something you need?” Brendon noticed for the first time that his child was so patient, even speaking softly, afraid of scaring others.
The little one sat down, swinging his chubby short legs like a little adult. He asked, “Uncle, you’re handsome, and I’m handsome too. Are you my daddy?”
