**Annabelle**
Finally, a ray of hope. In a few hours or maybe less, I might just get rescued. That is if the attendant doesn’t take my call as a prank.
Get tired, ignore me not bothering to inform the cops like I asked. The only thing I can pray and hope is well, hope.
Hope is the only thing. Just that. If I let go of it now, I’ll just break down.
The door creaks open and someone else walks in. I know it’s not Stephanie by the stance and the walking patterns.
“Hello beautiful.”
Renee says walking into the light. The guy had come a few minutes ago and tied me back to the chair so I couldn’t move.
Renee is finally back. I wonder where he’s been all this time. I’ll take a lucky guess and say he’s been his master’s bidding.
“Why are you here?”
I spit out full of anguish.
“I’ve been missing you. Needed to see your pretty face. Stephanie’s been telling me the show didn’t go so well. I’m glad, I get to watch the sequel. It’s going to be so much better.”
He chuckles standing close to me.
“What are you talking about?”
“Oh, Stephanie would be here soon. I’m sure she would love to tell you everything about her new plan.”
“Well am bored now. And I know just how much you love telling me things so spit it out.”
“You’re right. I’ll tell you just a hint though. I wouldn’t want to ruin it all for Stephanie.”
“Tell me.”
I gritted my teeth impatiently.
“Well, she derived a new plan to end everything once and for all. Ever heard the story of Titanic?”
“What are you talking about?”
“Oh come on Annabelle, you must’ve heard the story of how jack heroically saves rose and dies but there’s a twist in our version. Jack becomes ava and rose becomes Fallon only the save is temporary because they both die and this time, the plan would not fail.”
“What plan are you talking about?”
“I’ll save that plan for Stephanie. Just watch and enjoy Titanic 2. 0. The ratings would be off the charts.”
He grinned before walking away.
“Renee wait….”
I called
“You’re terrible in bed.”
I smirked before looking away. He stomped out in sheer anger.
Another problem yet again. I have to find out what she’s planning. There’s no way I can leave now, if I do Ava and Fallon would be in danger. The cops are on their way to save me exposing those two to danger.
What the hell do I do? How can I save everyone and myself because it seems I can only pick one category.
Oh shit, things just keeps getting worse. I just can’t take it anymore. I can’t and I don’t want to. It fucking hurts. I’m back to the same crazy cycle of selflessly giving myself up for others. I did it before and I’m about to do it again.
**Inspector**
The captain listened keenly as I presented my case to him. The task team was ready on standby awaiting orders.
At first, he reprimanded me for following a case I was ordered to drop. Afterwards, he granted me permission because there was a life that needed saving. I would surely get punished afterwards.
So right now, I was in the S. W. A. T car driving to the address as fast as I possibly could.
My instincts knew this was right. If Annabelle Sinclair was kidnapped, that would leave just one unidentified variable. Stephanie.
It would stand to reason she has a hand in all this. I just can’t but my finger around the reason why.
Why would she want to hurt Ava, Annabelle and Fallon. What ran so deep between those four to cause this much problems.
I loved a good mystery but this had elevated to a much bigger level. The first thing I had to concentrate on was saving Miss Sinclair. I’m sure she’ll have answers for me. I hope she does. My head is in a freaking turmoil. I’m sick and tired of filling the puzzles. For a change, let someone help.
I had them park the van a little far away. Dispersed them into team and I took point. The goal was to infiltrate in the most unnoticeable way possible. Every building has a loophole. I just found that building’s.
I would infiltrate and save Miss Sinclair. Afterwards, the tactical team can get in.
I was close to doing it. Getting in through the pipes. The only problem was finding out where she was. For that, I would have to use my intuition.
I dropped down making the least possible words. Every door was unlocked. I walked down the hallway until I clicked on one and it stayed locked.
“Bingo.”
I mumbled and use one the tools the I. T department provided. It jammed the lock and I got in.
The room was not well illuminated so I had to walk closer.
“Back so soon.”
A female voice frail as hell whispered with her head bent.
“Annabelle Sinclair.”
I called out, she raised her head up. Her eyes darted towards my badge she looked frightened.
“Hey, it’s okay. I’m here to help.”
I tried to free her but she shrugged me off.
“It’s okay. I’m one of the good guys.”
“I know.”
She whispers barely audible. Her voice tells me she’s been deprived of food and water.
“I can’t leave. They’re planning something big. It’s going to hurt people. If I stay here I can find out the truth. I can’t leave. I’m sorry but I’m staying here. It’s stupid, heck yeah. I’m not leaving.”
She says leaning me stunned. This day just got weirder.
