SAM
I’m still in shock with what I’ve found out. Sandy finally tells me everything, and I just listen closely to every word she says to me, but she makes me promise that I can’t tell anyone. But I may have to tell someone about it because I’m not good at keeping secret especially when the people I care is involved.
“Your phone is ringing, Sam.” Sandy’s voice jarring me out of my thoughts. I dug my phone from my bag. Our supposed to be an Arrow marathon turns to be a telling of her life story. I look at her when I check out my phone screen. She nods.
“Handsome, miss me?” I answer.
“You have no idea, beautiful. My cock is in need of your attention. I missed you, princess.” I can clearly hear the cheerfulness in his voice.
How will he react if I’ll tell him the truth? God! It’s hard to be in this position.
“Are you coming already?” I ask, biting my lip.
“On my way, beautiful, it’s just three blocks away from your apartment, right?”
“Yeah, how’s the meeting went?”
“So far, so good, my love. You will not ask me about business when we are together, right, princess?”
My lips curve to smile, and I find Sandy’s eyes on me-she’s also smiling.
I roll my eyes. “And why is that?” I know what he means but I want to tease him a little bit because I missed him too.
“I need your mouth somewhere else.”
I feel my face crept with heat. I clear my throat. “Um, okay, whatever!”
He laughs. “Is your friend beside you? And you can’t say what you wanted to say?”
“Yes, Phoenix, but that’s not the case. The last time you said like that, I wasn’t able to see you again not until after almost four months.”
He sighs deeply, “Surely, Samantha. You love to ruin our moment.”
I regret it when he sounds sad.
“Sorry about that. I’m just not ready for you to disappear again. I’ll never gonna be ready, Phoenix.”
“Princess, why are you talking about this now? And just so you know, I’m not leaving you again, and neither you are. I’m not gonna let you go. You’re stuck with me forever.”
I look at Sandy who is staring at me with furrowed brows. I shake my head at her.
“Are you on your way?”
“Come down, my love.”
“Okay, see you.”
I place my phone back in my bag and breathe deeply.
“Is everything okay?”
I smile at Sandy and nod. “I’ll go ahead. Thanks for everything.” I take my handy bag with me with a bag of my dirty clothes.
“Shut up and let me send you down.” She hooks her hand on my arm.
“Are you sure you wanna go down with me?”
“Of course, I’m used to see them you know.”
“Okay.”
We ride in the elevator with the song from the ’80s silently playing in the speaker. Sandy is humming, leaning her head on my shoulder.
“I’ll see you tomorrow at the office then?” I tell her.
She lifts her head and looks at me. Her eyes glimmer. “Of course. And I had fun. Good luck with your kinky sex tonight.”
My mouth forms an O shape. “You are so unbelievable!”
We get out of the elevator only to find my handsome boyfriend leaning in his car. He stands straight when he notices us walking in his direction. He smirks.
God! There should be a law against smirking-it’s a danger to our ovaries. I swear my muscles between my thighs are clenched.
“Princess,” he says, then cups my face with his huge hands and kisses me hurriedly, hungrily, and sloppy with a groan.
I can’t help but grip his muscly arms. Sandy giggles at my back and that makes me pull away from Phoenix.
“We have an audience, silly.” I slap his arms playfully.
He smirks, “So? Don’t tell me she’s innocent that we’re corrupting her.” He smiles at Sandy. “Hi Sandy, good to see you again. Saturday at lunch?”
My stomach churns suddenly, remembering what she just told me.
“Sure, I’ll be there,” Sandy agrees almost immediately.
“We’re leaving. You better go up,” Phoenix tells her.
She smiles at him and nods, then she comes closer to kiss my cheek and whispers, “Tomorrow, Sam. Night and Enjoy.”
She giggles when she hears me groan.
“Night, Alexander Phoenix! Take care of my friend.” Then she walks away waving her hand at.
“She’ s something,” Phoenix mumbles.
“Indeed, she is.”
“I want to kiss you here, Phoenix,” I tell him.
His brows furrow while securing his seat belt.
Before he can protest, I slip to his side and sit on his lap. Grabbing a handful of his hair, I press my lips on his, and he instantly responds to me. I press my chest on him when he wraps his arms around my waist. I moan when he slips his tongue into my mouth and I can feel his erection poking between my thighs.
I know I’m dripping wet, and we are both turned on, but I can’t let him fuck me in this parking lot. I pull away when we are both catching our breath. I move back to my seat and buckle my seat belt silently.
“What was that for, my love?”
I smile at him and glance at his red lips. “That’s on my bucket list,” I tell him winking.
He smiles at me-the kind of smile that makes my heart flutter.
“I remember when I told you that.” He runs his thumb on my lower lip. “Aren’t you hungry, Princess?”
“Nope. Thank you for asking. Are you?”
He shakes his head. “Your apartment will be done on Friday.”
“You didn’t ask me what I like.”
“It’s a surprise, but if you don’t like it we can still redo it again.
“You’re silly. I will surely love it.”
“Hawk said hi to you. He misses you already.”
“I miss them too. So, on Saturday then?”
“Yup.”
“I can’t just get enough of you, Samantha,” he says while panting and still on my back.
I collapse underneath trying to catch my breath. He moves to lie down on his back and drag me from my waist to curl himself on my naked and sweaty body. He sweeps my messy hair away from my face, kissing the top of my head.
“You are beyond gorgeous even your hair is messy,” Phoenix says, pressing his nose on mine. His breathing is warming my face.
“And you look hot when you’re naked and slick with sweat.”
He smiles, kissing the tip of my nose. “I know why you like me because of my hotness.”
I roll my eyes. “I’m not that easy, you know. I’ve seen many hot guys, and I was asked for dates, but I turned them down.”
His smile fades and turns into a frown. “Oh, yeah?”
“Yes.”
“Tell me the names of those assholes,” he growls.
“And what are you gonna do with them once you know their names?” I challenge him, raising my brow.
“I’ll cut their dicks with their balls.”
“So, do you like dicks and balls?”
He looks more pissed at me. “Seriously, Samantha. You just ruin our awesome lovemaking just a minute ago.” He lies on his back with a scowl on his face.
SAM
“What are your problems, Phoenix? I love you, and I am here with you, in your bed naked. We just made love, and I love you with every air that I breathe.”
“Cliché,” he mutters in his breath, then turns his back on me shaking.
I slap his arm, maybe a little bit stronger.
“Ouch! Woman. You’re a sadist!”
I hug him from behind. “I love you, Phoenix. I mean it.” I tell him with all my heart.
He turns his head to peck my lips. “I love more than you know.”
We both stare at each other silently.
“I’m so lucky to be with you. I don’t know how can I show you how much I love you, Phoenix, but I will do my best to let you feel it in each fucking way and in each fucking day.”
His lips spread into a grin. “As much as I love to hear you swearing, you better don’t say that word.”
I kiss his shoulder one last time, inhaling his scent, then I close my eyes. “Sure.” I’m gonna sleep in his arms again tonight.
“My love, don’t you think it’s too early to sleep.”
I know he is teasing me, so I lie. “I’m sore.”
“I’m that rough with you, huh? Why didn’t you say so?” He takes my hand and kisses it
“You are not.”
“Good. You can always say no if you don’t like it, princess. I will never force you into doing something you don’t like. All I wanted for you is to be content. And I will do everything just to make you happy and to see the smile on your face every day.”
“Can’t see you reading a Hallmark card, Phoenix.”
He chuckles, “I mean it, Smurf!”
“I’m getting offended, Phoenix. You are calling me with so many names, lately.”
“Sorry, my love. Lizzy has collections of smurf stuff toys. Abby knows each name of them. One time, Lizzy cried so Abby panic why she suddenly cried. Lizzy was bubbling something like Sam, then I and Abby exchanged a look. I ran to Lizzy’s room and grabbed what was near to me. I grabbed that Smurfette, that one with yellow hair then handed it to her. She stopped crying and kept saying, Sam.”
I laugh at what I just heard. “Really? Lizzy thinks I am smurf?”
He faces me this time. “It means she remembered you with blonde hair. No one at home has blonde hair like yours. Your hair is almost white. I love your hair by the way.”
“Can I ask you something?” My heart beats faster, and I feel suddenly anxious.
“Sure. You don’t have to ask, just shoot.” He smiles that I know there’s something meaningful in it.
I just roll my eyes. “What if?”
His brows furrow, waiting for me to continue.
“What if you have a sibling?”
He looks more confused.
“What I mean, what if you have a sibling somewhere that you don’t know about? Like maybe your dad had someone impregnated?”
He looks at me in my eyes. “I always wanted to have a sister since I only have a brother. When Mom married Mike, it’s like a dream come true, and Abby is really a good and caring person. I don’t have a problem with that if the blood result shows we’re carrying the same DNA.”
“Okay”
He raises his brow. “That’s it? You are not my sister, are you? Because I’d rather die, and it’s gross to fuck my own sister!”
I groan.
“Oops! I don’t mean like that, my love. Forgive me.”
“I know, silly, and we are not related by blood. And it’s really gross.” I wrinkle my nose.
“So, why are you asking? Is Sandy girl good with you, princess?” He asks and searching for something in my face.
“Yes. She’s a good person, Phoenix. Don’t you like her?” I ask and watch out for his reactions.
He shrugs. “I don’t know, but there is something off about her like she’s hiding something.”
My stomach churns. I want to say something, but I hold it. I can’t be the one to say it, and I promised it to Sandy. It’s not my position to tell it because if she keeps it a secret, then she must have a good reason other than she doesn’t want to cause trouble to Phoenix’s family.
“Give her a benefit of the doubt, Phoenix.”
“Who do you think sent those flowers to you, princess?”
I take a deep breath. “I forgot about it already. I was thinking maybe Gabrielle,” I answer truthfully because she’s the only one who doesn’t want me and Phoenix together.
“I doubt she will waste her time and money, Samantha.”
“And who else would do?”
He shrugs, squeezing his eyes shut.
“Do you have any other clingy ex?”
His head snaps at me. “I told you, Samantha. She was my last girlfriend, and I had sex, but none of them even came to see me again.”
I take a huge breath. “These conversation has to stop now. Nothing will do us any good. We better sleep.”
“I saw Sandy somewhere, but I can remember when and where. She looks familiar, but I am sure that I didn’t fuck her. So, erase that from your brain.” I chuckle. “I doubt she will sleep with you, Phoenix.”
“Do I not look hot to her.”
I wrinkle my nose. “Ew, that’s gross.”
“And why is that? She isn’t even my sister?”
I freeze. My breathing stops and I just stare at him. God, I am so terrible at keeping secrets.
“Samantha?”
I blink and swallow hard. “Y-yeah.”
“Who’s Sandy, Samantha?” he asks sternly.
“Sandra Millard,” I answer silently.
“Do you know anything about her?”
I shake my head. “My love, we don’t keep secrets from each other, do we?”
I nod. “Of course.”
“Is she the reason why you asked me if I ever have a sister somewhere?” He looks at me intently without blinking as if I might disappear in front of him. I swallow hard the lump in my throat, then I nod.
His jaw drops and sits silently on the bed. After a few seconds of silence, he nods slowly.
He turns his head to me. “How did you know?”
“From her. I’m sorry, Phoenix. I’m not supposed to tell you this because she lets me promise, but here I am. She doesn’t want to cause your family trouble. Her mom didn’t want your dad to know about Sandy, but they met once again.”
“Dad was sending them financial support,” he adds.
I nod.
“Her mom died when she was almost eighteen.”
I nod again. “How did you know about this?”
“Now, I remember. I found some documents and pictures at Dad’s office in our old house. Her pictures when she was still young. I want to tell Hawk and Mom, but I couldn’t just get the right timing until something happened between us.”
“What are you gonna do this time?”
He takes a deep breath, lies back down, and hugs me tighter. “I will spank her ass for not telling me because I know something is odd, but I don’t know why. Fuck! I have a sister. I and hawk have a sister.” He looks at me and smiles.
“Aren’t you mad?”
“No! But she doesn’t have any resemblance to Dad. Her nose maybe?”
“The shape of her brows and her lips, silly. I looked at her closely. She has a mix of you and Hawk.”
“Now, that’s creepy.” He laughs.
