Cheng Li crossed his legs and smiled. It was that kind of smile of a father whose son has achieved something uncommon.
He has no problem with Li’s Group in Junxie’s hands. He could sleep with his two eyes closed without the fear of the Group going bankrupt or declining.
“I came to congratulate you, my son. You’ve made me proud and I am fortunate to have a son like you…” Cheng Li stated.
Junxie Li smiled briefly and returned to his usual facial expression. He took another sip from his coffee and thanked his father.
“Thank you Dad, for believing in me,” Junxie Li replied. He is doing what he is supposed to do as the President and not to be applauded.
“I have one request to make, include my grandsons as shareholders of the textile production in my place…” Cheng Li requested.
Junxie Li squinted. Every member of the family are shareholders of the company, but now his father wants his own portion of the share transferred to Tim and Lee.
That isn’t necessary. He already included them in the company shares. Now, they getting his father’s share of the textile production, implies they are getting doubled of what their elders have gotten.
“No, dad. I already know that you transferred the ownership of your hotels to Tim and Lee. But this, I don’t want you to do it” Junxie Li refused.
“I am gradually becoming an old man. What do I need those properties and money for, if not for my sons and grandsons?
Do you really think I can go poor and hungry for the remaining years of my life? Just do what I asked and append my electronic signature on it.
No one must know about what I am discussing with you, not even your mother. Do you understand what I mean?” Cheng Li asked.
He doesn’t have faith in Julia. He is going from one woman to another and not ready to settle with one. The only one who got pregnant with his child ended up losing it due to his inhumane treatment towards her.
Only Junxie he believed would carry his lineage on. Every father wants to see his grandchildren and have an heir.
He has gotten his heirs and intends to transfer all that he has to his heirs and not his immediate sons.
If one day, Julia becomes sensible enough to be a responsible son and make him happy by making a turn from bad to good, he would give Julia’s sons a remaining portion that he kept for him.
Otherwise, at his death, everything goes to Tim and Lee. The thoughts of his younger son’s reckless life made him suddenly unhappy.
After hearing what his father said, Junxie Li nodded. He knew then that his father was punishing Julia from an angle he never would have expected.
His father’s approach was far different from his. He’s wiser than him and his gray hair was that of wisdom.
But Tim and Lee became his sons by chance. Theresa had made it happen. She had kept the pregnancy and let them be born.
He is not in any way better than Julia. He was just opportune to meet a special woman and she had him happy for the rest of his life.
“When are you getting married to your Fiancé?” Cheng Li asked further. This was an office, but it didn’t make any difference to him.
He is with his son and will discuss his desires with him. He knew they were engaged and should be planning on getting married.
He had grown in love with Theresa and she loves him too. They have kids already. So they have no reason to linger too long.
“Soon dad. I will discuss with Theresa first and together decide on a date before fixing it” Junxie Li answered.
He wants to be married too. He can’t keep Theresa Mo by his side and does not own her legally. He loves her with his entire rein.
“You are my eldest son Junxie, and I want you to make me happy for the rest of my life. Do things that bring me pleasure?
I want you to be married in a month’s time.” Cheng Li declared. He looked at Junxie and the latter was quiet.
“I will discuss this with my woman first, and if the date goes fine with her, it will be approved and preparation will be put in place “Junxie Li replied.
He loves and respects Theresa Mo a lot. He can’t just take a decision that involves the both of them without seeking her opinion first.
“You are a wise child Junxie. I will be waiting for your response” Cheng Li answered. He told him he would not be present in the company when he makes the announcement to the public about the textile production but would watch live stream.
He stood up and left. He went over to Julia’s office. The latter looked sad and bent his head, staring at a side when his father came in.
He turned himself to see who had come to disturb him and was surprised to see it’s his father.
He stood up and walked over “welcome dad” he said hugging him and bringing him to take a seat.
He tried to appear cheerful and happy but he’s looks have given him up. His sunken eyes and unusual thin face.
Cheng Li looked at him and saw his red puffy face, the dark lines below his eyes, he knew Julia had been having some difficulties lately.
“Have you been suffering from sleeplessness recently?” Cheng Li asked.
