CHAPTER 177; Insomnia

He least expected that Ms. Monica will stand side by side with Alfred to refuse him from seeing Rita.
He doesn’t know what to say next. Ms. Monica was staring at him, expecting him to turn around and go but Julia still stood, obviously lost in his thoughts.
She wished he was like his brother. President Li was nothing like this in character but Julia is not an ideal man for any woman.
“Excuse me Ms. Monica, are you saying you won’t let me see Rita?” Julia asked as if all that Rita’s mother said fell on deaf ears.
“Not only will I not let you see her, I am requesting that you don’t come ever again to see her. Stay in your world and she will stay in hers, world apart…” Monica replied.
This is serious, Julia thought. If Ms. Monica is asking him to stay away from her daughter, and Rita herself is not interested in seeing him, that means there is no way he could see her.
He shook his head and turned, going away. His only option is to wait until she resumes work and he would meet her there,
He couldn’t reach her on the phone and he wouldn’t be allowed to see her when he comes to her place. The only option left is to wait until the opportunity comes for him to see her.
Julia appeared devastated. He looked moody as he slipped behind the steering. Monica kept standing, watching and waiting for him to drive off before she would go in.
She watched his heavy steps and wondered why he felt disappointed in his looks. He had driven Rita to the edge of a cliff and would have lost her life if it wasn’t fate that smiled on her.
It was only after Julia drove off that she went back inside. “That was Julia right?” Rita asked as soon as her mother and brother came in.
Alfred didn’t answer out rightly but Monica said “You need to have a good rest and grow back to health baby. Every other distraction is not welcome”
Rita nodded. She already knew it was Julia. She’s grateful that he wasn’t allowed to come in. She doesn’t want to see him at all.
Molly Mo hasn’t been alright after the news she heard that Theresa Mo now owns 75% of the company. How can she open her eyes and let her take away her daughter’s possession?
How can Theresa Mo come to preside over the company where Tiana, as the legitimate daughter, should be heading over?
Why had she underestimated the girl? She should have known that Lu Jingli is a cunning fellow, not one to be trusted.
What can she do to twist that position and share out of Theresa’s hands? For now, that would be the best alternative.
If only her friend Anita was alive. Things wouldn’t have been so muddleheaded to this extent.
She long would have placed her where she belonged, but alas, she is left alone to brainstorm and execute her plans without anyone to support her.
“Oh Ye Xiaoxi, you took Zongtian’s love from me and till his death, he still loves you and your illegitimate daughter.
Now your daughter is taking my daughter’s right away. Even in the grave, are you still capable of fighting me?” Molly muttered to herself.
She would think of something that would silence Theresa Mo forever and she would be at ease with her daughter.
As soon as Julia arrived home, he received a call from Lanre. “Hello… am fine. My condolences over the loss of your unborn baby… How’s your wife? Theresa told me yesterday…” Lanre spent time encouraging him.
Because of Julia’s solemn voice, Lanre felt it’s the loss of the pregnancy that has resulted in his mood swings. He didn’t know it was something else.
Julia appreciated him and Lanre hung up. He sighed, his wife! His wife indeed. Lanre is among those who doesn’t know what’s happening between Rita and himself.
That night was the worst for Julia. He just couldn’t sleep. He tried sleeping but the sleep would not just come. He stayed awake until midnight.
He doesn’t have a sleeping pill at home. He couldn’t help but call Lanre. He called the first time and there was no response.
He dialed his cell phone number again and this time, Lanre answered. His voice was deep and that of someone just waking up.
“Sorry to disturb your sleep buddy. I need help” Julia said right away. Lanre became more alert. Doctors are used to those lines of words “I need help”
“What happened?” Lanre asked, not sounding sleepy again. Julia told him what he is undergoing. He hadn’t had a good sleep in three days and he doesn’t have any pills in the house.
“Is your mind crowded or troubled? Does it have to do with your baby?” Lanre asked. Sometimes a troubled mind might cause sleeplessness.
And as a doctor, that is the first step towards treating insomnia. It is only when there is nothing like that that the probability of being a psychological problem or malfunctioning will be considered.
“Yeah, something like that. But the loss of my child is little compared to what I am going through right now. Can you come over and accompany me for the few hours left before dawn?” Julia pleaded.
His brother’s mansion was close to his, but he had to call someone from afar to accompany him. Why wouldn’t Junxie let go of his mistakes?
“Ok. Send me your address” Lanre agreed. He stood up from the bed and went to relieve himself before changing out of his pajamas.
It was good that Rosa is not with him. If he was holding her on the bed, he definitely would be reluctant about Julia’s request.
He got his car keys and stepped out of the bedroom. When he drove his car out, he stopped by a pharmacy and got a certain type of pills and went ahead to Julia’s address.
He doesn’t know where his sister and her fiancé live. He knew they lived in the aristocratic community but didn’t know where exactly.
He arrived at the address and quickly Julia’s bodyguards let him in. Second master had told them that his friend was coming over. They should grant him passage.
Julia had come downstairs and personally held the door for Julia to step in. His eyes were red and heavy but he couldn’t sleep.
“Glad you came, Lanre,” Julia said and hugged him. He least expected that he would come. He came to his aid again.
“It’s nothing Julia. So tell me, what did you say is making you unable to sleep?” Lanre asked, looking at his eyes and knowing this fellow has been suffering from insomnia indeed.
