Lanre placed his hand on hers and nodded slightly. He seemed to get the point that Rosa was making.
“Who’s Anita and Molly?” Lanre asked, glancing at Theresa with completely reddened eyes.
“Anita is dad’s younger sister but she’s dead. She died while trying to give birth and the baby also died” Theresa Mo answered.
“That’s right,” Lanre nodded, feeling satisfied. Karma caught up with her. Her case is worse than his mother’s. Nature had judged her already.
Theresa grinned weakly at Lanre’s statement. She had felt pity and sorry for her aunt for years. Despite her aunt disliked her, she still grieved at her death. But now, she wished she had known what her true colors were, she would have thrown a party at her death.
Come to think of it, how emotional her dad had been when he heard his sister had died. But he didn’t know she only reaped what she sowed.
” Molly is our step mother. The one who set me up with Lu Jingli. And her daughter is Tiana, the only sibling I thought I had” Theresa added.
Lanre nodded. He looked away from Theresa and at his nanny ” I’m sorry nanny, I didn’t understand you well before. Thank you for everything you did for my sister and I and for keeping your promise to my mother…”Lanre appreciated.
Aunt Lulu just nodded, she found no voice to answer her godson. She had treated Lanre so dear to her all these years and he knows how much she loved him.
Theresa had been her goddaughter too. The least she can do for her dear friend Xiaoxi, is to love her children as much as she loved her.
” Tomorrow, Theresa, we will go see mum’s graveyard and from there, we will visit dad too. You know there, don’t you?” Lanre asked.
Theresa Mo nodded and Lanre said ok. He asked that Junxie Li take care of his sister and make her come out of the emotional trauma that might have caused her.
Junxie stood up to go and congratulated Lanre for finding his sister who had been so close to him all these while without realizing it.
He added by complimenting Aunt Lulu. He said if there were more true friends like her, there would be less of the likes of Anita.
He wished her a happy life and all the years invested in looking after her late friend’s kids would not be a waste.
Anytime she feels threatened, she should not hesitate to contact him or Theresa, they would be more than willing to offer the best support and help to her.
Aunt Lulu smiled. She said she’s happy that her goddaughter found such an excellent man as her fiance. She looked forward to the wedding gingles.
Junxie Li said very soon. She would receive an invitation from them and hope she would be ready to stand as his mother-in-law that day.
Aunt Lulu smiled. She was happy to hear what Junxie said. That day will be the happiest day of her life and she looked forward to it already.
The two siblings embraced each other again before Lanre said the next day, they’ll see. Lanre escorted the lovers out while Rosa and Aunt Lulu bade them a good night.
When they left, Rosa threw herself on Aunt Lulu, she hugged her tightly ” Thank you Aunt. There wouldn’t have been my Lanre today without you” Rosa chimed.
Aunt Lulu smiled. ” No, on the contrary, there wouldn’t have been Lanre without Xiaoxi. She’s his mother and I his godmother” she replied.
” You are right, aunt,” Rosa reasoned, shaking her head. Lanre’s nanny is a good woman. She doesn’t want to take the glory that belongs to her late friend.
” I love you Aunt” Rosa declared as she loosen from the grip. ” I love you too sweetheart. And I hope you make my Lanre happy all his life” Aunt Lulu replied.
Rosa nooded. Then Aunt Lulu asked that they get married soon and give birth to Lanre’s kids. She wants to see and carry his children.
Rosa said she hoped very soon, they would think of settling down and raising a family. The two women talked and chatted like a daughter in-law to her mother in-law.
Lanre followed the lovers down the elevator. ” Honestly you and Theresa look alike, especially your eyes” Junxie Li stated.
Lanre smiled and looked at Theresa’s eyes. Looks like Junxie is right. It seemed as if the color and the set of eyes were identical.
” Yes. That’s dad’s eyes. I look like mum a lot down to my height. But Lanre is like dad, including the height. Besides the eyes, I don’t think I took anything else from dad. But seeing Lanre now, I see dad in him” Theresa chimed.
” You make me imagine what dad looks like. You have a lot of his pictures right?” Lanre asked. Theresa Mo said yes and would readily let him have some and that of their mum.
Before getting into the car, Lanre hugged Theresa again and Junxie went and pulled his fiancee away. ” Your girlfriend is waiting for you. Make sure you make proper use of the night”Junxie chimed and Lanre laughed.
He laughed? Wow, his spirit is revived again. He hoped he would let the past remain forgotten and embrace his new found relationship with Theresa.
Junxie Li and Theresa went away and Lanre waved at them. But he wasn’t waving to Junxie, he was waving to his sister.
When Lanre returned to his apartment he remembered that Junxie and Theresa hadn’t had dinner at the end of the day.
He met Rosa and Aunt Lulu talking and smiling happily. He asked that they have dinner and his two women stood up, going with him to the dining table.
But Lanre couldn’t take beyond two bites of his food and stood up. He asked when Rosa was going back home, she should call him, he would drop her off.
” I am staying with you for the night” Rosa declared and Lanre was stunned. Stay over in his place? That’s unlike her.
He got two bottles of alcohol and kissed Aunt Lulu’s chin before saying goodnight to her. He went away into his bedroom, he was going to feast on the alcohol.
Molly Mo was stamping her feet on the floor. What is this that Tiana Mo just told her? Theresa owned 75%of the company’s shares and came over to take over the company?
What had happened to her, where was she looking when Zongtian illegitimate daughter took everything away from her and Molly?
It’s her fault. She should have dealt with her like they did to her brother. All these wouldn’t have come into place.

Rosa soon joined Lanre in his bedroom. He went to have his bath when she stepped in. It’s a beautiful bedroom with it’s king bed.
The sight of it would attract anyone to want to sleep on it. The room is large and has a long sofa opposite the bed.
Lanre’s picture hung on the wall and his closet was at an extreme end. There’s a dressing room also where one can choose to use if one wants privacy.
The bathroom door is made of glass. The one inside can see through but the person on the other side wouldn’t be able to.
Rosa sank into the sofa and felt it bounced her. She looked at the bed opposite and imagined herself and Lanre making love on it.
Maybe she can give him a chance after all, he knows that she is no longer sealed. She sighed softly and remembered again, Lanre is Theresa’s twin brother?
Lanre stepped out of the bathroom with his hair dripping wet. She saw Rosa had already changed into a towel and was ready to go in as soon as he stepped out.
” Why do you stay so long in the bathroom like a woman? after all, you already showered before your sister and fiance arrived” Rosa complained but was smiling.
Lanre chuckled. He went to soak himself and not bathe to be precise. He dried his hair and changed into a robe. Soon Rosa was done and stepped out, tieing only a towel.
