“… As the major shareholder of the company, I have decided that the position of the President, occupied by Lu Jingli will be replaced by myself. I will take over the company and preside over it.
But in the meantime, I want an administrator to be in control for the next one month until I am ready to return and take over officially..” Theresa Mo was explaining.
Tiana Mo didn’t hear anything again. Something definitely had gone wrong between Lu Jingli and Theresa.
The look on the face of Lu Jingli doesn’t seem like someone who sold or willingly gave out his shares of the company. What’s happening?
She hadn’t been on talking terms with Lu Jingli after the divorce, hence she cannot ask him what happened.
Despite all her mother had done to push Theresa out, she was not only unable to push her down, but had allowed her to take root downward and grow branches outward.
Now she becomes the number one person when Mo’s business is being mentioned. How was she able to attain such privilege?
Tiana’s heart was wondering and didn’t know that Theresa Mo asked her a question.
“Ms Tiana Mo, is your mind with us?” Theresa Mo asked. This was the third time she had called her and everyone was surprised.
Everyone, except Lu Jingli. He cannot be surprised. He knew how much Molly Mo wanted to seize the company out of Theresa’s hand and hence she used him in the past.
But now, the one she and her daughter wanted to throw out, now has the preeminence in the company and they have less than a quarter share of the same company.
Things went contrary to what they expected. He glanced at Tiana from his side view and saw her looking surprised.
Tiana Mo seemed lost. She looked at everyone seated and saw them casting gazes at her.
Theresa Mo also was staring at her. She doesn’t know what her sister said or what she had been asked. She felt embarrassed.
Theresa smiled. Of Course she would be lost. Tiana Mo will definitely be absent minded after she said she had become the owner of Lu Jingli’s portion of the company’s share.
Wasn’t that what her mother wanted when she tried to erase her name completely from the Mo’s business and therefore blotted for her downfall and Married her daughter off to her partner in crime?
” Yeah, I mean.. ok” Tiana Mo stammered. There were chuckles and murmurings. Theresa Mo gave a grin.
She had asked if Tiana Mo had a suggestion or any contribution to what she had said. But her response was totally out of the way.
“Mm.. mm” Theresa Mo grinned. She pouted her lips and stared at Tiana strangely.
Rita was having a discomfort in her belly. She had been having the feeling since she woke up that morning and now, it seemed it was getting more severe.
But that day, She had to meet her mother that afternoon and bring her home from the airport. It’s been months since she travelled abroad and now, she would be coming back and her brother wasn’t going to be free to go and pick her from the airport.
She decided she would leave work early and go and get her mother. She can’t get her from the airport and then return back to the company where she was working.
She took half day off and went to put the house in order or rather went to check if what she instructed her brother to do was done.
Still feeling uncomfortable, she got an analgesic and took it. True, the discomfort was soon forgotten and Rita headed to the airport.
It was great to expect someone special and the excitement of waiting at the airport was there. She brought out a magazine and started reading.
After the day’s work, Lanre felt exhausted. He called Rosa and asked how her mother was doing and the latter said she was doing fine when she left home that morning.
He asked her where he was going to pick her up and go home. They were having dinner at home and he had asked Theresa to meet him at his place.
There are things he wants to ask her and it’s suitable that they discuss such in his place and besides he wants to show her some things on his computer.
Rosa asked him to pick her up at her work place. She was closed for the day and was waiting for him. And besides, she doesn’t know his new apartment yet, otherwise she would have gone to wait for him.
Lanre said Ok and drove to her work place. Rosa saw his car approaching and waited at the park for him. She slipped into the co-pilot seat and shut the door.
Lanre smiled and asked her how the work was and she said fine. She equally asked how his surgeries went and Lanre said though tedious, but all was successful.
Lanre started the ignition and Rosa asked “No kisses?” Lanre smiled and said he was sorry and bent over, kissed her sweetly before they took off.
It was his tradition to always kiss her as she stepped into the car or wanted to alight. Hence Rosa asked when he didn’t remember to do it that evening.
He drove to his apartment. He wonders if Rosa will still be happy with him like this after he confessed to her that he slept with someone else.
When they arrived at his Penthouse, Rosa was happy. She looked around the house and said it was better than the previous.
She checked out the rooms, kitchen and every part of the house and she said she is in love with the house.
Lanre smiled. He Said he was actually preparing to be married and decided to put some things in order suitable to raise a family and not like a bachelor.
They were still talking when Theresa Mo arrived with Junxie Li. As Theresa Mo took the elevator holding Junxie’s hand romantically to Lanre’s penthouse, she didn’t know the surprise that awaits her…
