Junxie Li arrived and went straight to the company. There was an hour remaining until the close of work. He hadn’t told Theresa Mo he was coming, he wanted to surprise her.
He glanced through the unfinished work on his computer, there are documents that need only his signature as the President. Such documents, Julia doesn’t touch.
He got to work immediately and Julia noticed his presence on the confidential system. He guessed his brother was back.
Junxie was always like that. He would sometimes travel and return before you knew he was back.
And besides, the next day is Li’s family got together. His uncle Li Guang the wizard of law as he’s popularly called had informed him that he would be around with his family.
The previous year he was not around because he went to defend a case in Australia. Only his wife and daughter attended.
He expects his brother to be back that day. If he wasn’t there, the gathering wouldn’t be held.
He stood up and went to the President’s office. He pushed the door open and saw Junxie busy on his computer. He didn’t raise his head, but knew the fellow would be Julia.
Only he and Theresa Mo can come into his office without knocking on the door. But then, the latter hasn’t known he’s back, so definitely the person must be Julia.
” Welcome big bro” Julia said, walking to sit in front of his desk. He smiled and was happy that his brother was back.
If Junxie is around, it implies less work for him and enough time to catch fun. But that day, he was particularly happy because his lawyer had called him.
He said Rita signed the document at once without asking him any question. Invariably, he was back to being a bachelor and a free man again.
Rita has agreed to cooperate with him. Everyone would think they are a couple but between the two of them, they know they are mere Mansion mates.
Raising his head, Junxie Li smiled and asked him how he was doing? He said he had seen that he did well in handling the company in his absence.
He was showing signs of seriousness. He equally asked if there are any challenges besides what is coming from the public relations office.
Julia answered accordingly and the two brothers talked and laughed. They were obviously happy to see each other again after a week and a few days.
Julia asked if Theresa Mo is aware that he is back and Junxie said no. She would have come running to his office if she had known.
Julia stood up and said he was going to inform his friend. There were just a few minutes to the closing time and Theresa Mo must have finished and tidied up her work already.
Junxie Li shrugged. He watched Julia as he walked out of his office excitedly. He wondered what had made him so happy that day.
It’s been a while since he had this humour of his towards him, especially after the issue with Rita and the pregnancy came up.
He was happy. He has gotten his brother back. He wasn’t comfortable with his aloof lifestyle and relationship with him but he had to do what he felt is right to every member of the Li’s family.
Theresa Mo was up, and was carrying her bag to leave when Julia walked into her office all smiles.
” Hello sister in-law” Julia called her feeling happy. Theresa Mo squinted. It’s been a while since he called him by that title.
Besides, he looked Happy and cheerful that day. Has he won a contract or something?
” Julia, hi” Theresa Mo smiled back at him. She parted her lips and made her smile broader.
” I have good news for you, but you have to guess!” Julia said, walking over and crossing his arm around her shoulders.
Theresa Mo’s forehead went blank. He has good news for her and yet wants her to guess. What would the guessing be since the news was a good one.
“I will advise that you spew it out. As for guessing, hmmm, I can’t think of anything right now” Theresa Mo replied.
Julia’s hand was over her shoulder and she felt a little uncomfortable. Besides Junxie, she can’t remember another man holding her so close.
“Ok, since I am in high spirits, I will tell you. President Li, my big brother Junxie, is back and in his office..” Julia announced.
Theresa Mo pushed Julia away and stared at him with her mouth open” it’s a lie Julia,” she doubted.
“True, totally true” Julia replied and Theresa Mo picked her bag and rushed out of her office. Julia looked and became speechless.
Isn’t she going to lock her office properly? He walked out and locked it with his finger prints. Theresa Mo and the President have access to the door initially.
But recently, he was permitted to access the door as well, making them just three that can lock and unlock the door.
Theresa Mo didn’t knock but pushed the door open and stepped in. By the window stood her charm, her idol and her darling sweetheart.
Junxie Li was on call. He turned his back to the door and was talking on the phone and explaining a certain thing while his right hand was kind of describing what he was saying.
Theresa Mo just stood there and watched him from his back view. He looked charming despite his face not showing.
His tall body inside the black suit makes him look attractive. She felt what it would be like to have him make love to her that night.
She must take the initiative. She had missed him very much and only that way can she feel his presence the most.
She dropped her bag on the sofa and ran to hug him from the back. Her hands crossed around his waist and Junxie Li smiled.
When the door opened, he knew the fellow was Theresa Mo. He placed his hand on her intertwined fingers around his waist.
“… will call you some other time,” Junxie Li concluded and hung up. He threw the phone on the sofa and smiled, placing his two hands on hers.
Theresa Mo placed her head on his back and inhaled his body scent. It’s been days, but it seemed like months to her. He’s back to her again.
Junxie Li gently untwined her hands and faced her. She raised her head and looked at him while he towered over her.
They both stood, staring at each other. There was love in those eyes. The feeling was passionate and despite not saying a word to each other, the message was being passed already.
Junxie smiled. But Theresa’s eyes became moist. She couldn’t contain the emotions, the feeling, the excitement surging within her.
Junxie Li saw it, and like a whisper he said, ” my love” and held her tightly to himself.
