NOELLE POV,
I feel nothing when I explode the dark humans and demons in the tunnel with purple light. I walk outside the tunnel and notice the inner wall being breached. Purple light radiates off my whole body and I levitate myself above the castle. I must look like a bright purple star and people drop their weapons to look at me. I open up my mind to all creatures of the Under Realm and give them visions that they are being chased by their worst fear. The trick works effectively on the dark humans, and they all start running out of the inner part of the city screaming.
My voice echoes through the city when I command my people and the dragons to hide inside buildings. I hold up my arms and call out to all the water in the city to obey me. Water starts to rise up from sewers and the small rivers. It all flows back to me and forms a big wall of water up into the sky. I put my hands forward and let a tsunami carry out the demons, stone giants, and fire creatures with full force. I still must get rid of the flying dinosaur creatures in the sky so I channel all the anger I can find in my body.
The sky above me gets dark and purple lightning and thunder explodes around me. A powerful wind takes everything in its path. I am floating in the middle of the storm making sure every aspect of the Under Realm army gets sucked away. Buildings are shaking and trees get sucked out of the ground from the force of the storm. First, I blow every bad thing out of the inner part of the city and then I move the storm towards the outer wall. Demons and creatures get blown through the holes in the wall back to the field where it all started.
I can see fear in the eyes of the creatures that just tasted my power. I point at the portal to Hell and scream with authority, “LEAVE.”
They all seem hesitant, so I let purple fire emerge everywhere. Feeling the burn of witch fire on their feet seems enough encouragement and they all start running through the portal. When the last one ran through the portal the 4 horsemen emerge on my sides. They look at me with icy eyes that show no emotion. They slowly approach me, and I levitate back to the ground. I make myself small and for a moment I think about everything that is good in the world. I assemble as much light as I can find and when they are close enough, I stand up and open my arms. They get blasted with light and fly through the air screaming before they explode. My breathing has become heavy from all the powerful magic I did. I walk towards the portal and put my hands on it. I don’t know the spell to close it, but I remember that I learned with mind magic that the possibilities are endless. I close my eyes and imagine the portal closing from light flowing out of my hands. When I open my eyes, the portal becomes smaller and smaller until it disappears completely.
I take a deep breath and feel amazed that I just beat the army on my own. My happiness is short because Hades emerges from the shadows. He still doesn’t look worried, and I know this is going to be the most difficult fight because we now have the same powers. He laughs, “Well, well, happy you found some powers back. At least this way I have to show some effort to win. It was getting too boring anyway.”
From behind his back, Donna emerges, and I am not going to be surprised by her again so I blast her with a strike of lightning right through her heart. Her eyes are full of surprise and shock before she falls to the ground. I fire a ball of light at her to be sure and she explodes into a million pieces. Hades just cackles, “Revenge feels good, doesn’t it Noelle? We would make a good team.”
I look at him with pure hate, “I would rather die than be a team with you.”
His eyes become small and dark, “That can be arranged.” and he blasts me with a wave of darkness. I am just in time to channel a shield of light, but I still feel the impact. I try to hit him with light, but he just brushes it off with darkness. I try purple witch fire, but he can block it with black fire of his own. Then I try to be inventive and channel rain from a storm and turn the water into ice spears and shoot it at him. But it doesn’t matter what I do it seems like he knows exactly what I will do every time and he has the same powers to block everything. In the meantime, I get exhausted, and Hades seems to notice because he is now attacking me fiercely. I am barely in time to counter his attacks and look around me desperate. I need to figure out a different tactic that he won’t expect if I want to win this.
I also notice that my magic is fading. I have used up so much fighting the whole army of the Under Realm that I seem to have almost come to my limit. Hades is now shooting black fire at me, and I am forced to walk back from the impact on my magic shield of light. While I walk backward, I notice a bunch of trees close by, and in my mind a plan forms itself.
With the next blast of fire, I pretend I fall from the impact and my shield disappears. I hear Hades his evil laugh when he walks closer thinking to give the final blow when he is near me. So focused on the fact that he has me where he wants me, he doesn’t pay attention to his feet. I put one hand on the ground and imagine the roots of the tree coming up in a small hole. When Hades walks over them his foot gets stuck in the root, and he falls forward flat on his face. I quickly command the roots to bind him and hold them to the ground. I stand up and run to the tree and pour all my last magic light into it. The tree lights up and the roots that hold Hades are also glowing with light now. Hades is grunting and cursing but he cannot move because of the light magic in the roots. I look at the mighty King of Hell and wonder what to do with him now?
