Chapter 42: Warriors of the sky realm

Book:Sacrificed To Her King Published:2024-5-1

NOELLE’S POV,
The next couple of days consist mainly of magic training with magister Ember. I can now produce storms and master wind, water, snow, and ice magic. I also spend some time looking at Holly training the warriors of the Sky Realm. The angel warriors are like one machine working together. Their movements go in sync at the same time, and they are all extremely skilled in combat. Combine that with the ability to fly and you have a deadly army.
Holly told me they have been trained since they were 6 years old which is why they are so impressive. The warriors seem to have great respect for Holly so I wonder how good of a warrior she must be.
Today is my last training day and tonight we fly back to Liberum with the whole Sky Realm army with us. I have asked Holly if it won’t be a risk to bring them to Liberum. But Holly assured me that Gabriel and Zeus have been working on more protective spells to make sure Liberum is not traceable. They even think it will make Hades nervous to not know where the sky army has gone. And nervous men make mistakes.
But now I have done enough thinking, it is time for my last magic training from magister Ember. I let Thorn fly me to the training space. The sky is dark even though there is no storm or rain. Magister Ember stares at the dark clouds, ”The days are getting darker which means Hades is getting stronger. I have taught you weather magic but there is one aspect we still have to practice.”
I wait patiently for her to continue, ”I am talking about light magic. Which can be extremely helpful with demons and darkness in general. However only magicians who have more light than darkness in their hearts can master it. With summoning a storm, you have to think about things that make you angry but light magic is the exact opposite. You need to think about good memories things that make you happy.”
I close my eyes again and slow down my breathing. I think about last night cuddling with Holly by the fire and then I think about Thorn and how it makes me feel to fly on his back. A little shimmer starts to erupt from my hands. Then I think about the dinner at Cafe Blanche, how we were all talking and laughing. How Gabriel looked at me when he saw me, how we danced together. The shimmer starts to grow into a ball of light.
”Keep going,” Magister Ember says.
I think about how beautiful the stars were and how Gabriel touched my face. But then I think about how I left him standing there and did not talk to him since. The light slowly dims out when my mood gets down.
Magister Ember walks to me, ”Try again but now keep thinking about happy memories.”
I look at her sadly, ”I don’t have any happier memories.”
Magister Ember sighs, ”I already was afraid of that. But I taught you how to call upon the light so whenever you are ready you will know how to do it. This is also where we need to say goodbye. I have nothing more to teach you.”
She hesitates for a moment and then says, ”You have great potential Noelle. Go and make me proud.”
I bow to her and say, ”Thank you for your lessons, Magister, I will never forget them.”
I go back to the castle and wait until it is dark with Holly. When the sun goes down we walk outside, I see that on every rock formation there are warriors waiting for the command to go. Thorn is already waiting for me at the stairs. His golden scales shimmer in the moonlight.
Holly nods to me, ”I will go in the front, but I need you in the middle. You need to produce a storm that shields everyone from prying eyes. That way we can get to Liberum unnoticed.”
I climb on Thorn, ”Alright I will do my best.”
Holly blows a horn and then shoots into the sky, all the warriors follow, and I command Thorn to get in the middle. It is a mighty scene with all the angels up in the air. Holly told me there are 5000 of them coming with us.
”Follow Holly and bring us home,” I tell Thorn through our mind connection. Then I close my eyes and summon dark clouds all around the flying army. I let rain, thunder, and lightning come down to the Mortal Realm. For them, it will just look like a passing storm. Little do they know that inside that storm a deadly army is on the march.
We get to Liberum unnoticed and the army scatters to their assigned mountains to sleep in. It is just me and Holly that are left now.
”I need to tell Gabriel that we are back. but I also need to check if everyone could find their rooms,” she says.
I hesitate, ”I can go tell Gabriel if you want.”
Holly looks grateful, ”Yes that would be great, thank you. I will join you later maybe.”
Holly flies away and I tell Thorn to drop me off at Gabriel’s mountain. Thorn drops me off at the entrance to the living room. I see that the fire is burning which means Gabriel is still awake. I walk in and see him sitting on the couch with his back towards me.
”Hej we are back,” I say to him, but I get no answer.
I walk around the couch and see him sitting there with a book in his lap. His eyes are closed, and his torso is naked.
”He must have fallen asleep while he was waiting,” I think to myself.
I find myself staring at his abs and muscular arms and shoulders. I shake my head, ”What am I doing, I must look like a total creep.”
I see a blanket in the corner, so I take it and softly put it over him. I try to tuck in his shoulder when he wakes up. Our mouths are very close when he says sleepy, ”Noelle? Is this a dream?”
He looks at my eyes and then my mouth and says softly, ”If it is then I don’t want to wake up.”
I smile at him, ”It is not a dream, we just got back with the army.”
Gabriel seems to realize that I am really there now and with one swift movement of his arm he pulls me on top of him. He pulls me close in a tight hug, ”I missed you, I am happy you are back.”
My heart pounds in my chest and I feel my stomach tighten. I return his hug, ”I missed you too.”
Then we hear a loud cough, ”Uhuuum.”
I quickly get off Gabriel and see Holly stand next to us. I feel my head become red, but Holly looks utterly amused, ”Don’t want to interrupt this interesting reunion but I must give you a report Gabriel.”
Gabriel nods with a smile, ”You have always had great timing sister. But I am all ears.”
Holly sits next to him and starts to talk about last week. I touch Gabriel’s shoulder, ”I should get some sleep. Good night.”
Gabriel looks at me warmly, ”Go get some sleep, I will see you tomorrow.”
He lets his finger run down my arm when I walk past him. While I walk away, I hear Holly shout, ”PFOOO it is really getting hot in here. I think I could fry an egg on that sexual tension between you guys.” Then I hear Gabriel hit her arm and Holly laughs. I chuckle while I walk outside to Thorn. He brings me to my room.
I try to sleep but Gabriel’s eyes and torso keep popping up in my mind. I start to touch my breasts and imagine it is his hands instead of mine. I explore my body and caress myself down under. I think about his blue eyes and his muscular body on top of me with every movement. Tension starts to build when I imagine him kissing me from my neck to my breasts and then lower and lower. When I think about him going between my legs and tasting me, release falls over me. When the waves of release fade I feel exhausted, and it does not take me long to fall asleep.
