I rolled in the bed wanting to snuggle into Jayden but his side was empty. And to that I opened my eyes and yes, i was alone in the bed. I looked up at the wall clock and it was really late. It was 4am in the morning.
I got out of bed and went to use the bathroom. I came out and sat on the bed. Where could he be at this late of the night?
When I became restless about his whereabouts, I decided to go out to look for him. Something might be happening or happened to him when I’m just sitting here.
Before I could leave, the door opened inwardly and there he entered. Barely. He was surprised to see me wide awake.

We were on the highway going whenever I don’t know about with Gabriel in the driver’s seat.
The drive was long and silent until Gabriel stopped the car on the mountain road. I didn’t ask anything about the place we came to because I know where they are, I’m safe.

We prolonged and climbed the mountains until a house came into view. I was really tired but didn’t show it to any of them because they also didn’t give me their attention. Especially Jayden. All his focus was on the house ahead of us.

As we were getting closer, I recognized that old woman. She’s that old woman on the plane who told me “to call them!” the ones i didn’t know… Jayden and Gabriel were also surprised as I am. But what creeped me the most is that both womens’ eyes were on me.
As we moved close, I made sure that I stuck to Gabriel’s side because their gazes were freaking me out.

Gabriel and I walked from the house and sat under the tree where the shade is. It was an awkward silence until he broke it. How are you feeling Catriona? He asked. I was a little bit disappointed and surprised that he called me by my name instead of, you know, pumpkin!
Truthfully, I don’t know whether I am fine or not. I’m still taking in all these supernatural things. Whenever I feel like I’m getting used to it, other supernatural kinds pop out. But I am trying with all my might for the sake of the man I love. And I’ll do it thousands of times for him.
