Ri
Walking weakly towards the shell, I can’t help my heart to jump when I heard Gab’s voice. I mustered all my strength to fight my wolf so I won’t look back.
Continuing with my plan, I completely turned to smoke and got inside the shell.
I was weak. Yes! The shell takes a lot of energy to get fixed and without the four girls, fixing it would feel like carrying four planets. But I just can’t stop fixing it.
Honestly, I don’t know how to defeat the sprosk with my condition. It’s strong now; I can even feel it.
I returned to my form as I got inside. Looking around for the sign of the sprosk, I dragged myself closer to the center of the shell.
“So, you’re the new Fraeian empress, huh.” I turned to see a beautiful woman. She has black expressive eyes, long eyelashes, waist-long hair and a slim figure. She looks young but not the normal look of an adult Fraeian.
My heart beat faster. So this is the real form of the sprosk. “You’re the sprosk?”
“I am!” she said softly as she raised her hand. I was instantly thrown away from her; I did not even see it coming.
Standing up, I saw her appearance changed. Her body glowed.
“Ardessa!” I called out to my vhroeghltash and instantly, I’m in a battle suit.
The sprosk smirked. “It’s useless, you know?” I looked confused on what she meant. It was when I was thrown away once again after she waved her hand when I understood her. My suit is useless.
Standing up, I prepared myself to fight. Although I felt my legs weakening, I put up a strong face.
She attacked me with her power but I used my power to dodge it.
She threw another of her power and I countered it. Unfortunately, the sprosk is strong that I fell unto my knees.
I heard her laugh out loud. I willed myself to stand up. My feet wobbled. “I’m tired. I’m slowly losing my strength.” I told Cassy.
“Be strong. We have to defeat her.” She answered and I nodded.
“Well, well, well. It seems that something is wrong with you, Empress.” She grinned. “If there’s one thing I would thank you, it’s for coming here.”
I was astounded with what she said. “You see, Empress. Eilea imprisoned me in this shell when she found out I killed her father.” She laughed wickedly while shaking her head. “A pathetic excuse of a Fraeian. He did not even manage to say goodbye to his wife and child!” she laughed once more.
“It’s her fault (Eilea)! I was supposed to be queen! I am quadrelemental, too! But no! He chose her. He chose her over me! Me, his eldest daughter!” I felt bomb exploded.
“Yes. He chose her daughter over me.” She looked at me angrily. “So I killed him. After that, I fought for my right to the crown. I was almost there.” She laughed wickedly. “Eilea couldn’t even defeat me. She was weak!”
“If not with her brothers, she would have not defeated me. When she did, she put me in here. She knew I’m more powerful than her. She can’t kill me. That’s when I vowed to take revenge. No luck for you, Empress. You will be the victim of my wrath.” She grinned again.
“What would be a nice way of revenge other than imprisoning you here? You will take my place now, Empress. You will stay here inside the sprosk and I will be Fraeia’s new empress.” With that, she started to attack me once again.
“Good Lord, help me.” I exclaimed as I use my wind to stop the attack. But I just felt my body slammed to the ground.
My body weakened. I looked around but everything is blurry.
When everything cleared out, I saw my parents and siblings. They were all calling me. Standing up, I turned to the person assisting me.
“Gab!” I felt my blush on my face. “Thank you!”
“You’re welcome my love.” My heart beat faster hearing what he said. He closed our distance and kissed me on my forehead. He grabbed my hand and led me to my family.
“Aw, aren’t they cute?” Eana cooed and I chuckled. Gab’s arms wrapped in my waist and pulled me closer to his chest.
I looked at each of my family. I can see happiness in their faces not a bit of worry or fear.
Everything’s just perfect!
I sighed in contentment as I lay on the arms of my mate. I was about to sleep when I heard someone yelled, “Rogues!”
I got up instantly and ran outside but a scream of horror left my mouth when I saw my family and Gab lying on the ground, lifeless!
“No!” I ran towards their bodies. “Mom! Dad! No, no, no! Please don’t leave me. Kuyas! Eana! AC! Bianca! Chaunelle!”I called them but they did not answer. I heard a loud growl behind me. When I turned around, I saw Gabriel’s body scattered in pieces.
“Ahhh!!!” I ran towards his body and cradled his head. Tears raced down my face.
“Ri!” a voice called out to me from a distance. “Come on, babe! Wake up!” I looked around but nobody’s there.
It was then I felt sparks around my body. I shivered at the tingling feeling. “Babe. Come on, wake up!” It was then I felt something hot yet sweet touching my lips!
Sparks. Tingles. Sweet Kiss. Gabriel! I thought. And that’s when the image in front of me changed.
I was now looking at the walls of the place. The sparks came from the arms that enveloped me from behind.
“Gab!” I said and everything came back to my mind. Me, inside the shell; the sprosk and everything.
“What happened?” I asked Gab looking around for the sprosk. I saw her slammed on the ground. I tried moving but I can’t even raise my arm.
“You were put in a trance. When I got in, you were bruised all over and she was about to kill you, saying you can’t live anymore.” I saw his jaw tightened. “She did not notice me getting inside so I attacked her with my power and that’s what happened.”
I smiled before I said, “Thanks.” He smiled back and he put his arm under my legs and lifted me.
“Let’s go! They are all worried of you!” He walked towards the smoky opening of the shell.
A few steps away, I felt myself falling. I waited for my body to hit the ground but instead, I slammed to Gab’s body.
“What happened?” I asked. Before he could answer, I saw the sprosk standing behind us, arms stretched.
“You think you can get out of here, Empress? You will be doomed in this cursed place!”
Gab moved to cover me with his body. The sprosk laughed.
“Yes, because you can really save her!” she said sarcastically.
“Gab, do you trust me?” I asked him. “Yes!”
I smiled at him. “When I say Hashbar, place your hands over mine and release your power, okay?” he nodded.
“Ichbi cho mopen-ji,” I whispered. I put my hands together and said, “Frien!” I opened my hands, palm facing outwards and said, “Gaea!”. Closing my right hand and covering it with my left, I said, “Heyrdro!”. Finally, I opened my right hand and circled it above my left and said, “Hashbar!” I pointed my hands to the sprosk. Gab placed his hand over mine. Using the last of my energy and power I shouted, “Neshdah sprosk!” (Spirit of the elements fire, earth, water and wind, defeat the sprosk!)
Coming out of my arms is a tornado-like energy of rainbow colour. It shot towards the sprosk who was surprised with the power I released.
I fell to the ground when I felt the last of my energy escaped my body. My legs were too weak to support me. My eyes closed but not before looking at the sprosk.
A fire enveloped her body; in her legs and hands are roots bounding her to the ground. The irony of it was that she was imprisoned in a solid ice which was surrounded by a whirlwind.
Finally, she’s locked up her life. “Finally!” I managed to say and my eyes totally closed.
I felt Gab’s arms around me and a few minutes more, I was lifted in his arms. As he walked outside of the shell, I forced my eyes to open. I looked at his face and whispered softly. “Thank you, Gab!”
I heard someone yelled my name before I was consumed to darkness.
Numb.
