Ri
“Gab, watch out!” I shouted at Gab as one of the rogues jumped to attack him. In a flash, I was able to shift into my wolf and counter- attacked the rogue which caused him to be thrown outside of the cave.
I noticed Gab changed to his black wolf, too and fought the other rogues. I ran to him and helped him.
We were busy fighting when I noticed something passed by and fought a rogue which was behind me. He helped us in the fight.
We were able to defeat the rogues despite the fact that we were outnumbered. Thanks to the Moon Goddess we survived.
Gabriel got some clothes from a tree and handed it to me. I shook my head and I saw confusion on his face. I shifted back to my human form and Gab’s eyes bulged seeing my dress still intact. I motioned my head to the tree telling him to shift.
“I’m sorry if our date ended this way.” He said as he stepped from behind the tree.
“Best date ever!” I said and grinned at him.
I turned to the person who helped us. That was when Gab noticed him, too. I was flattered when he stepped in front of me, covering me.
I touched his shoulder before I said, “It’s okay, Gab.”
The man went down on his knee. “Ashkar nash, Freyren Ri!”
I stepped around Gab and faced the man.
“Askhar nash, Juno. Zhyalathama sho froth bathalngap!” (Good day, Juno. Thank you for your help!)
I heard Gab gasped and saw him frowned.
“Meh-dah, Freyren! Sywahals ghe ungjhorn oth phroshar sho!” Juno answered, still looking down.
(No problem, Empress! It’s always an honor to protect you!)
“Ohksh raguroha! Sho rah toxh.” (I know! You may go!)
“Sya sho fahn, Freyren. Zhyalathama sho!” ( As you wish, Empress. Thank you!)
Juno vanished and I turned to Gab who still has the frown on his face.
“Gab?” He seemed to wake up from a trance and he looked at me. Before I could react, I heard him growled.
“Who was he?” he snapped.
“Oh, the alpha’s jealous!” Cassy spoke.
I smiled at him. I like the possessive Gab I am with right now.
“He is Juno. He is my guardian and protector being a royal and also since I am not mated.”
Another growled came out from his throat. And before I could react, hugged me tightly.
“G-Gab!” I whimpered as I felt the electricity running in my skin. “Gosh!”
“I am thankful he arrived.” he whispered softly. “I do not know what to do if something happened to you!”
He said still hugging me, his face buried in my neck. My heart swelled in his words.
Putting my hand on his cheek, I looked at his eyes intently. “I am fine, Gab. I was trained to fight not just with my powers but especially with my wolf.”
“Still.” He let me go and looked at the dead rogues. I followed where he was looking at and shivered when I saw the dead bodies.
“Ichbi huno,” I spoke quietly and vines covered the dead bodies and pushed it downward, burying it in the process. The amazed look from Gab’s face made me happy and proud.
A nagging feeling urged me to look towards the cave. My heart beat harder looking at the place.
Something is wrong with the place and I can’t name it.
“Ri?” I turned to Gab, worry in his face.
I smiled at him and uttered, “Thanks.”
“For what?” he smiled back.
“For today.” He looked at me as if I have grown horns in my head.
“Despite everything that happened, you had fun in our date?” He chuckled.
“Yes! It’s not usual for me to be able to fight. My brothers and sisters don’t let me so.”
I looked at him.
“Fighting beside you was fun!” I saw him shook his head, still amused.
Not answering anymore, he held my hand and led me back to his car.
I smiled as we drove back home. It may not be the ideal date a girl could wish for, but for me, it was the best.
“We heard what happened. Are you okay?” Eana’s worried look met us when we arrived. I looked at Gab with a questioning look.
“I told Jam to inform them.” he said as if reading my mind.
“I’m okay. You know I can defend myself.” I assured her.
“And Juno?” Red asked.
“He was there, too.” Eana’s eyes brightened.
“Id hep shap thoshmedam?” (Did he say something?)
“Nash!” (No!) shaking my head. She knew Juno didn’t want to be just my protector.
“Yelarha? Hep id nash? Ohksh ghourh hep shekash sho uhm?” she said shaking her head to.
(Really? He did not? I thought he likes you so much?)
A loud growl came out from Red’s throat reminding us of their presence.
“Care to tell us what you were talking about?” Red spoke lowly, anger in his voice.
“Nothing, Kuya. She just asked me something girly.”
“Don’t tell anything, Yan. I swear if Kuya knows, it wont be good!” I spoke in our mind link.
“Meh-dah!” I glared at her before I turned to Gab who was very confused as of the moment.
“Are you okay?” I asked him and he nodded.
“I just did not understand what you were saying. But it’s alright!” he smiled and once again, my heart jumped from it’s place.
“That’s a Fraeian language. We learned it when we went there a few months ago.”
He just nodded and started walking to the door.
“I guess I need to go. Please take a rest. Thank you for tonight!”
“Goodbye Gab and thank you!” I walked with him to his car and watched as he drove away.
“There is something I need to tell you!” I said as soon as I stepped inside the house.
“Oh please! Get a room you two!” I shouted at the two of them making out in the living room.
“Geez, old woman!” Eana spoke and rolled her eyes.
“Excuse me? May I just remind you that I am the youngest, I repeat, youngest among us all so don’t you ever call me old woman.” I said stressing on the word, youngest.
“Whatever!” Eana rolled her eyes again while Red just chuckled.
“Anyway, back to what I have said.” I said seriously. “I guess, I know where the sprosk is.”
I heard Eana gasped while Red looked at me intently.
The sprosk is what Fraeians call to the one of the five posts of the shurkash, the sheild which protects lycans to be discovered by humans. It has five posts or origin of power namely the sprosk, neous, threa, swhis, and cheguph.
These five posts are located in different parts of the world: Sprosk is in America; Neous in Russia, Threa in Africa; Swhis in the Philippines; and Cheguph in Brazil.
“Where did you find it?” Red asked. “How did you find it?”
“It was where Gab brought me for our date!” I saw the look of horror in their faces.
“Was he nuts?” Red uttered angrily and seemed like his ready to slaughter Gab.
“Kuya, relax!” I used my royal tone on him. “He doesn’t know!”
“That explains it!” Eana spoke calmly. “That’s why there were rogues in there!”
I nodded. “Yeah, that’s what I thought, too, besides the fact that I felt something wrong with the place after we killed them.”
“It’s the sprosk indeed.” Eana sighed.
I answered another sigh. Learning where the sprosk is really bothered us.
“Oh my, this pack is in real danger!” I felt my energy drained when the realization of the great danger hit me.
I just hope we can be of help.
