Xavier’s POV
He slowly pulled out a gun. He pointed directly at me. I wasn’t fazed by it. “She is mine.” he snarled out. A gunshot was heard.
The next thing I heard was a gasp.
I looked at what happened. My eyes went wide. I couldn’t believe what happen. The only thing I see right now is red. I quickly marched towards the bastard and took the gun and shot in between his eyes.
I didn’t get enough and kept shooting his dead body. Once the bullets were finished, I dropped the gun in the floor and went back to where I was standing.
I fall down, grabbing my girl as she lie in her own blood. She took a bullet for me. She opened her mouth to talk as she start cough blood.
“Shh. Don’t talk.” I said as I grabbed her and stood. I quickly carry her outside. Everyone stood still when they saw us. “Someone get the car!” I yelled as I cradled her. She tried to talk but I kept shushing her.
Dean and Andrew came towards us. “Tiger stay with us ok.” Dean said as he tried to stay strong. “Come on, Bells. Don’t close your eyes.” Andrew say as he starts to cry.
I quickly carried her to the backseat as Andrew sat in the passenger seat and Dean sat in the driver seat. I placed her in my lap as Dean start to drive.
He was driving like crazy. “X-Xavier.” she croaked out. “Don’t. You need to keep your energy.” I said as hold her to my chest. I couldn’t lose her.
“X-Xavier, Please l-let m-me talk.” she said. “I-I knew you would come for me.” she said as she smiled softly. She placed her hands in my cheeks as she stroked them. I had one of my hands pressing down in the wound with handkerchief.
It was nearer to her chest. This got me worried. “I-I m-missed you s-so m-much.” she said. “I l-love y-you so much.” she said. It was as if she was saying her last words.
“No, no. You can tell me how much you love once you are better. Don’t talk now.” I said shaking my head. The three of us were crying. We couldn’t stop.
“N-No l-let m-me talk. I m-might n-not g-get the chance.” she said as tears start to flow down. I stiffened at her words.
“Don’t talk like that! You are going to come back to me. We have to go on dates. Long drive. Remember I promised to Dean I will travel around the world one day with you?” I said crying.
She just caressed my cheeks. “I am so sorry for being a burden to you Dean all those years.” she said looking towards her brother.
“Are kidding me!” he yelled. “You are the best thing in my life tiger. You were never a burden. I am so sorry I couldn’t protect you.” he said gripped the wheels so tightly.
“No, no. Y-You p-protected me y-your e-entire l-life big bear.” she said as we slightly laughed. “Andrew, t-thank y-you s-so much f-for your f-friendship. E-Even t-though y-you are a-annoying a-at times, y-you were a-always there.”
Andrew smiled softly as he turn to the front unable to see it. “That’s enough babygirl. We can have chit chat session later.” I said as I caressed her cheeks as she leaned it.
“I-I am s-so s-sorry I-I rejected y-you t-that time.” she said as she put a frown. I shook my head. “No, stop. Don’t talk as if this is a goodbye. Remember my promise? No one, not even you can separate yourself from me.” I said reminding her of the promise.
She started to groan in pain. “X-Xavier, I feel sleepy.” she said closing her eyes. “No, no don’t. We are here already.” I said shaking her face.
Her eyelids started to get sloppy. “F*ck.” I cussed as I pulled her face towards mine and kissed her. She quickly opened her eyes. I continue to kiss her as she tried to keep her eyes open.
“We are here.” is all it take as I took her in my arms and got out. I carried her as I ran inside. “DOCTOR!” I yelled gaining everyone’s attention.
Soon the doctors and nurses came with a stretcher. I quickly put her down and they started to bring her. I held her hands and they brought her. Dean and Andrew was following too.
Soon they brought her. I wanted to go in with her but the doctor wouldn’t let me in. I stood there as they brought her in.
I slip down the wall as I had my head in my hands. I started to cry. I didn’t care what others thought. The woman I lover is in there fighting for her life. That’s all that matters.
I felt to hands on my shoulder. I looked up to see it was Dean and Andrew with tear stained face. They grabbed me up and made me sit in the chair.
“Don’t worry, She will be fine. She is my tiger sister. She is stronger than she looks.” Dean said as he tried to convince himself.
I know she is strong. I remembered the time when I thought she and Andrew was attached. I cringed at that thought.
I made her go through so much. Yet she was strong and brave. I know she will be ok. I just needed her in my arms. Whisper soft words, as I shiver at her soft voice.
She has to be fine. I cant lose her. Not when we just got together. I sighed. I don’t know what I’ll do without her. My mind is blank when I think about a life without.
God let her come back to me.
Its been half and hour and the doctor has yet to come. “Xavier!” I heard someone call me. I turn to the sound of the voice. It was my mum.
The moment I saw I got up and ran to her. I embraced her as I start to cry again. “Shh. Its ok son.” she consoled me. I couldn’t keep the tears in.
I looked around and saw everyone was here. My mum, dad, Emma and Ava. Everyone is here sobbing. Even my dad’s eyes were red.
Everyone liked Bella. She has her ways crawling her way into everyone’s heart. And she doesn’t even realise that.
We all waited for the doctor. Suddenly the doc came out removing her mask. We quickly went to her. “How is she now doctor? Is she fine?” we all asked her.
“She was in a critical condition when you brought her in since she lost a lot of blood.” the doctor said sighing. My heart stopped beating. No, no.
“But, we managed to stabilize. She had a will power like no other patient I have seen. All of us was shocked. But now she is fine. ” the doctor said making everyone sigh in relieve.
My strong babygirl. I thought as I smiled. “Can we go and see her?” I asked immediately. She nodded her head as we went in.
There she was. Lying down in the bed, with tubes attached to her. The sight was unbearable. She looked pale and in pain.
I ran to her as I grabbed her hands into mine. They were so cold. They weren’t the warm ones that I kissed, that caressed my cheeks and hair.
My mum put her hands in my shoulder squeezing, trying to console. “Look at her mum.” I said drawing circles in her hands.
“She is fine now, Son.” she said to me, as I just nodded my head. Everyone came and kissed her forehead or squeezed her hand in comforting way.
“We’ll be outside, son.” my dad said knowing I need time alone with her. I nodded my head. My dad started escorting everyone outside.
As he was about to head out too, I called him. “Dad.” He turned around. “Thank you for selecting her that day. You were right. She is different.” I said holding her cheeks. He smiled at me as he went out.
“My sweet innocent baby. I am so sorry I didn’t keep you save, This is all my fault. You don’t deserve a terrible person like me.” I said as I placed her cold hand against my cheeks.
“You cussed.”
