“Is there any problem with what I said. sunshine?”
“Please stop calling me that.” Heather pleaded.
Jay just flashed her his wonderful smile.
“Excuse me. I will have to make a phone call.” She informed him.
“Make yourself more beautiful…” She heard him say.
She frowned but didn’t say anything She went outside the shop to call Blake. He was probably in the shower already because he wasn’t answering so she just texted him.
Sweetheart, I don’t know how to say this but we have an unexpected early dinner with a client. I will just go home by myself. I know you need to be at the bar later. I’m sorry but let’s reschedule our date tomorrow. Drive carefully. I love you.

She had just finished dressing up. Joey chose a white dress for her with matching accessories. She didn’t want to wear it at first because the material was smooth so it hugged her body like a second skin. It went above the knee so her creamy thighs were exposed. She was lucky she chose to wear strappy high heels so they matched her outfit perfectly.
“Oh dear! You are so gorgeous! Are you sure that you are meeting some clients for dinner? Now I am wondering maybe our boss wants to date you?” Joey asked giddily.
“Shhh! Don’t say that! He might hear you.” She reprimanded him but he just rolled his eyes.
“I have to say that you two look good together. Now I am really curious to see your boyfriend! I want to judge who is better for you.” Joey joked.
“For sure you will see him soon. I don’t have his photo on my phone.”
“I can’t wait! But for now just enjoy your dinner meeting!” Joey even winked at her.

Blake just got out of the bathroom and his forehead creased when he discovered that he missed a call from Heather. He checked her text message and he couldn’t help cursing after reading it. He tried to call her but she wasn’t picking up. He looked at the time. If he would use his big bike he might be able to still see her before she left the office.

Ten minutes before five Heather left the office with her boss. for the restaurant. According to Jay, their client had an early flight to Dubai next day so he requested an early dinner. He instructed her to turn off her phone because she wasn’t supposed to take any calls during the meeting. He even showed her that he turned off his own phone. She told him that she would just set hers on silent mode. At first he gave her a disapproving look then he just replied with a curt okay. But he said that she couldn’t hold her phone during the entire meeting. They had been in the car for around five minutes already when she decided to talk to him.
“J-Jay I have to tell you something.” she began to say. She had to tell him about Blake so he would understand if she couldn’t always accompany him to his out of the office meetings.
“If it doesn’t concern your job then don’t talk about it.” His voice sounded chilly.
“It has something to do with my personal life and could have an effect on my job too so please listen to me.” she pleaded. She heard him sighed heavily.
“Okay. Let’s have it!” he said in a clipped tone.
She moistened her lips before speaking again. “I am thankful that I was given a chance to work for you and your sister. I really want to give this s job a try. But you see Jay, my boyfriend is a little possessive…” He let out a disapproving sound but she continued. “I can go with you at lunch meetings because they are within working hours. But after work meetings I think could be a problem.”
“I thought he is just your boyfriend, not your husband? Why do you need his permission? Is he too narrow-minded that he can’t understand that such events are still a part of your job? We are dealing with clients and customers . If he has a job too or a business, he knows these kind of situations.” he said.
She sighed. “Okay, he is not a little possessive. He is very possessive. This job is important to me but he is important to me too and I don’t want us to fight because of this job . I love him.”
Jay’s expression hardened. He thought that he should loosen up a bit. He didn’t want her or her boyfriend to notice that he would be doing things to break them up. He should use the chance of seeing her almost every day to his advantage. He can’t afford it if her boyfriend demanded her to stop working.
“We can discuss that later. We are almost there.” he said tonelessly.
Heather released a sigh. At least they were able to compromise.

Joey had just locked the front door when he saw a big bike stopped in front of the office. The gay designer couldn’t help staring at the tall and hunky man who got off. He was in a leather jacket and he was wearing a helmet. His eyes widened when the tall man took off the helmet.
“Hi. Came Blake’s baritone voice.
Joey wanted to scream in delight but he controlled himself. “H-Hello..” He greeted back.
“I’m Blake. Heather’s boyfriend. She started working here this morning.” he said.
Joey just nodded without taking his eyes off Blake’s very hot features. Now he realized that Heather wasn’t lying. Her man was hot as hell.
“I called her before I drove here but she wasn’t answering. She said she had to go to an early dinner meeting.”
“Y-Yes. She accompanied our boss. They left maybe ten minutes ago.”
Blake stopped himself from cursing. “Where did they go?” he asked.
Joey sensed that Blake was controlling his anger. He didn’t want him and Heather to have a problem in case he said something he wasn’t supposed to. ” Oh I’m sorry I have no idea.” He replied.
Blake jaw clenched and Joey thought of an excuse to leave before he said something that could anger Blake more. He didn’t want Heather and their boss to be in trouble. “Blake I am meeting someone so I have to go now. Nice meeting you.” He went past him but Blake took hold of his arm. Joey bit his lower lip. He felt giddy but he should think about Heather and their boss though he wanted to chat with Blake longer. He couldn’t control his mouth sometimes when he gets excited.
“Can you give me your boss’ number? I will call him instead.”
“I-I don’t know our boss’s number. No one in the office knows it.” Joey said though he knew it was a lame excuse. He just wished that Blake wouldn’t be persistent.
“I really need to go. Bye Blake.”
Blake murmured a bad word when Joey was out of earshot. His girlfriend had a lot of explaining to do later.

Heather was relieved that they were really meeting some clients. The Thai couple wanted JK’s Apparel to create new sports wear for their new shop in Bangkok. Although Joey would help her doing the designs, the couple said they were more interested in hers. The meeting was productive and she lost track of time. She checked her watch and felt worried because it was half past eight already. She was glad when finally the meeting ended. She wanted to take a taxi but Jay insisted that he would bring her home.
“You don’t have to do that. My place is probably out of your way.” she said to discourage him.
“That’s alright. I just want to make sure that you come home safely.”

Blake just arrived at the bar when an unknown number flashed on his screen. He decided to take it. “Hello.”
“Cupcake..” Came Vanessa’s husky voice.
He sighed and creased his brows. “Vanessa I have told you many times to stop calling me!”
“You should be thankful I phoned you.”
” I have to go. And please don’t call me again!” he rasped.
“Why? Your bitch of a girlfriend might get angry?” she asked.
“Stop it! I am hanging up!” he said angrily.
“Do you know where she is? I do.”
He frowned. “What are you saying?” He sounded irritated.
“Your girlfriend. Do you know where she is and who she’s with?”
” I know that she is with her boss.”
The line was silent for a few seconds.
“Hmm… so she works for JK’s apparel. That explains it. ” Vanessa said.
“If you don’t have anything important to say I am ending this call.”
“She must be happy to have such a good-looking boss.” Vanessa said.
“WHAT?” he hissed.
“Seems like he was taking her home. They just got inside his car. It’s just the two of them. I didn’t know that Javier Vergara is her new boss.”
Blake gritted his teeth.
“He is very good-looking too and a good catch. But of course you are hotter. ” She added.
Son of a bitch! Her boss is a man? He thought angrily
