My fear have finally come through, he found her. Everything is messed up now, what am I going to do now? Where do I start from? How do I live without Khalid by my side? How will I hold on to life, without him as my mate? Oh no! Why does moon goddess have to punish me this much?
A drop of tears slid down my cheeks, as I leaned in on the rail in my balcony, staring at the dark sky. Everywhere was silent, the only thing that could be heard, is the sound of the birds, and the leaves of trees, which were dancing slowly in rhythm with the gentle wind. However, forcing myself to sleep, when it’s not coming, is giving me a headache, I really need to clear off my head, I need to think of a way to get rid of her, and now that she’s weak, is my time to do it, but before I do that, I’m starting my vengeance from the people precious to her, I’ll make sure I kill her parents, and when I’m done with them, she’ll be the next target.
Letting out a small sigh, I tucked the strands of hair on my face, behind my ear, before a dangerous smirk played on my lips. Now it’s time for war, I won’t back off, not until I get what I want, she’ll regret ever crossing path with me, and by the time I’m done with her, even in her next life, messing with me, will be the last thing on her mind…

Inside Khalid’s room, were many people, standing with a worried look on their faces. Lia couldn’t stopped the tears that kept pouring from her eyes. As much as Khalid wanted to ask why his mother was so concerned about Octavia, he couldn’t bring himself to doing it, as he was more worried about his mate, who doesn’t seem like she’s still alive. He’s really going to lose his mind, if she is really dead, he’s going to take his own life, if nothing is done, he had made a grave mistake before, he’s ready to correct everything back now, if anything happens to her, he won’t be able to take it.
“Calm down your highness.” Jack, who was also standing inside the room, placed his hand of Khalid’s shoulder, trying to calm him down. In his entire life, he had never seen Khalid so worried about anyone, he had never seen his friend, so weak because of anyone, he just couldn’t help, but pray that nothing happens to the young lady, he know his friend will be disorganized, if anything should happen to her.
“How’s she?” Moon, who have been hell worried, asked the physician, who just finished administering herb through her mouth.
The physician shook his head negatively, with a sad face, showing that there wasn’t any positive result.
“I’m sorry your highness, but she’s not breathing anymore.” The physician turned to Khalid and bowed slightly, while doing everything to avoid his deadly gaze.
Anger surged through him, as he stared down at his mate, who was laying on the bed, with her face up, a duvet covering her body, as she looked so pale, like a ghost. Tears came streaming down his eyes, as he stared at her, he couldn’t stop blaming himself for everything, he couldn’t stop cursing himself, for hurting his own precious gem, he wished he could turn back the hands of time, he would never hurt her, but too bad, it can’t happen.
After the physician bowed, he turned and left with his bag, hanging on his left shoulder.
“Guards!” He roared, and in the next second, the door burst opened, with two guards, rushing in.
“Your highness!” They bowed.
“Get the physician, get as many as you can, she must not die.” He said in between gritted teeth, with his gaze, fixated on Octavia.
The guards bowed slightly, before storming out of his room.
“She’s dead brother…., can’t you see? She’s not breathing anymore.” Moon burst into tears, as she fell on her knees. Why does this have to happen to her brother of all people? Why does this have to happen? She had never seen her brother so hurt in her entire life, she had never seen him so down because of anyone, she had never seen him she’d tears, let alone shedding it because of anyone. Her heart kept tearing into pieces, as she stared at her brother, who was now sitting on the edge of the bed, with his head, buried in his palms, he’s really in pains, she could see through him, she wished there was anything she could do, but too bad she’s handicapped.
“She’s not dead Moon, I refused to believe that, my mate is not dead.” He burst into tears, as he leaned in on Octavia, hugging her on the bed, while wrapping his arms around her, but she remained unmoved.
Lia burst into tears, crying profusely.
Why does this have to happen now that he had found his mate? Why does moon goddess have to punish him like this?…
Moon POV
I couldn’t help the tears that kept pouring from my eyes, the more I tried controlling them, the more they came coming uncontrollably.
It breaks my heart, seeing Khalid like that, it hurts me alot, seeing him in so much pains, and I wish I could do something, but there isn’t anything, anyone can do. Octavia is dead, but Khalid is still trying his luck to bring her back, which I know it’s not something possible.
Wiping the trail of tears at the corner of my eyes, I leaned in on veranda rail, staring into space.
I’m outside, because Khalid asked to be left alone, he has invited some physicians, who are yet to be here, so I’ll just wait for them, who knows, one or two of them may end up performing miracle.
Two arms hugged me from behind, as his scent filled my nostrils, I didn’t need anyone to tell me that it’s my mate, Jack. I couldn’t help the smile, that crept its way to my face, as I felt my heart, beating rapidly. I don’t know why he still has so much effect on me, always making my heart race under his touch.
“Shhhhhhh! Stop crying, everything will be fine, I believe that.” He hushed, while I just nodded. I’m happy he’s by my side, he haven’t marked me yet, because I’m not ready, and he’s ready to wait, until I want to do it.
We were still in that position, when I heard footsteps, drawing closer to us, and tilting my head to the left direction, where the sound was coming from, I almost cringed at what I saw…
