Moon POV
Too many questions came running through my mind, as I hugged him tightly. I just couldn’t help, but to have a rethink about what he said. What if he was right about me, being his mate? What if he is really my mate? I can feel something, but I don’t know what it is, I don’t know if it’s the mating bond or whatever, I can’t seem to wrap my head around the whole thing. With him around, I don’t seem to feel any pains again, slowly, I’m feeling like I’m beginning to forget what happened a few minutes ago. I know this is crazy, but it’s the reality, it’s what I’m feeling inside of me.
He’s supposed to be angry, right? But why does he still care so much, even after everything? Is he truly mate? After thinking about it for what seemed like forever, I finally mustered courage to do something about the whole shit. Who knows, maybe if I kiss him, I’ll be able to confirm it, who knows, maybe I’ll start feeling the mating bond, if I kiss him.
Gathering all the courage in me, I pulled away from him, and grabbed his face, before crashing my lips on his. I felt spark spread through my body, as my wolf started struggling inside me, and soon, I felt her crawled out through my eyes, to have a taste of his lips. I felt her dancing inside of me, as she kept screaming the word ‘mate’.
I pulled away immediately, as my mouth dropped opened. I felt my wolf, struggling in fury, getting mad at me for pulling away, but I tried as much as to control her. He is really my mate? I found him…, Jack is really my mate.
We stared at each other, and all I saw in his face, is happiness and crave.
“Ma… mate?” I stuttered almost in a whisper, as tears welled up in my eyes. Without waiting for me to recover from the shock, he grabbed me carefully, and crashed his lips on mine, kissing me tenderly, and softly, like his life depended on it…
Astrid POV
I kept pacing in my room, as too many questions came rushing through my mind. Khalid hasn’t been himself since that Omega werewolf stepped foot into this palace, and j can’t help thinking that she has something to do with it. I heard he’s been sick and he really look sick seriously, I’ve tried going to see him several times, but he made it strict that he doesn’t want to see anyone, not even me.
The seer’s words rang in my head, remembering her words, I just can’t help thinking that the Omega girl, is Khalid’s mate. I don’t know what to think anymore, I’m losing my mind. Considering the fact that she’s been hidden for twenty good years, and the power she displayed that day, I kinda feel convinced that she’s the one, but not withstanding, I still need to confirm it.
Letting out a sigh, I stormed out of my room, and started off to the seer’s place, and in a few minutes, I was already walking through the veranda, as everywhere was silent. It was already late in the night, and just a few guards were present, so they couldn’t be asking me where I’m going to, considering the fact that I’m a reputable person in the pack.
After what seemed like forever, I finally got to the entrance of the cave, and I took a deep breath, before walking in, with my heart thumping heavily in fear, but I still managed to be brave though. I can take any risk, just to have Khalid as mine. We’ve been through alot together, I’ve spent all my life, looking forward to the day he would claim me as his mate, and having someone sabotage that, is the last thing I would take lightly.
Stepping into the cave, as usual, everywhere was silent as graveyard, and dark too. No one knows what the seer looks like, not that I care though, I just need her to clarify me of something, and that’s all.
I started walking steadily farther into the cave, trying to make sure not to miss my step. The place was so dark, that seeing where I was walking on, is difficult. After a few seconds of walking, I felt a dark and intimidating aura, hovering over me, and I didn’t need anyone to tell me that the seer already arrived. I felt my feet wobbling on the ground, balls of sweats came foming on my forehead, the atmosphere was normal, but I felt shivers, rushed down my spine, and in the next seconds, I started shivering, my heart came thumping violently against my chest, like it was trying to force its way out. I fell on my knees, when my legs couldn’t carry me no more.
“What do you seek?” Her cold and deep voice came on, sending shivers down my spine.
I couldn’t help wondering, if she’s a werewolf, a witch, or a demon. Her aura is something unexplainable, it’s the strongest I’ve ever felt, even stronger than the alpha’s.
I gulped down the lump in my throat, as I fidgeted on my knees, trying to think of how to present it to her. I should’ve thought about this before coming here.
“Do you seek to know the connection between the mysterious girl and the alpha?” Her cold voice suddenly echoed the question, which I’ve been processing in my head, on how to come up with it.
I snapped my head up, gazing at nothing, since I can’t see her, but can only hear her demonic voice, as I wondered how she knew about it. Well, it shouldn’t be a big deal to her though.
“Yes!” I replied, trying as much as not to sound nervous and scared, but trust me, there still hints of fear, sounding in my voice.
Silence, enveloped the atmosphere, and I wondered if she got pissed by my question or something. After what seemed like forever, her laughter roared in the cave, and I flinched in fear. Damn! I know I’m in for some shit now.
The laughter lasted for a few minutes nonstop, and suddenly stopped, follows by the dark and intimidating aura again, which keeps consuming me.
“I have a gift for you.” Her voice echoed.
I scoffed inwardly. The last time I checked, I didn’t ask her for any gift. I only seek for something, and I demand that she tell me, she should keep her gift to herself.
“Because you came here the first time, and still came back now, ignoring the fear, you really are a brave woman, so for that reason, I’m going to tell you the plain truth.” Her voice echoed, and I sighed in relieve.
It took her a few minutes of silence again, as I felt myself drowning in my own curiosity.
“She is his hidden mate.” She finally released the bombshell…
