His smile was like before, powerful and dominating, taking back his control and making certain I knew that he was the alpha. A slight laugh slipped past his lips as he pulled me down.
His cock was so thick and hard that my muscles struggled to accept. “Oh, fuck. Fuck!” I slapped my hand against his chest, struggling to breathe as the pain coursed through me. He was nearly splitting me in two. “Yes…”
“You like to have my cock in that tight ass of yours.” His words weren’t a question but a statement.
I could only nod, blinking as I tried to control my breathing.
“Maybe we’ll keep it filled with an ass plug. Would you like that?”
“Uh-huh,” I muttered as he lifted my hips then slammed me down again.
And again.
“Yeah, we’ll get you some toys, if you promise to behave.” His voice was entirely different, the sensuous sound like raw velvet sliding across my nakedness.
“Yes… sir…” I lolled my head as he drilled into me, the agony mixing with the sweetest ecstasy. Clench and release. Clench and release.
I knew the action was driving him crazy.
“You’re going to make me come. Fuck…” He threw his head back and roared, his entire body shaking as he orgasmed, filling me with his seed. “Yes!” He threw his arms across the back of the seat and closed his eyes. The smile on his face was one of pure satisfaction. Groaning, he dropped his head and arched my back until he was able to suck on my nipples.
I threw back my arms, tingling as another round of dazzling sensations rocketed through me.
He sucked and bit down, moving from one to the other.
Pop! Pop!
There was no hesitation after the cracking sound jetted through the vehicle. Dominick tossed me to the floor, yanking his gun from a holster under his arm then peering out the window.
I could hear Bruno’s footsteps, his angry cry as he moved away from the SUV.
“Stay here and do not fight me on this, Caroline. Lock the door when I leave.” He wasted no time, opening the door carefully and peering out.
I was almost blinded from the lighting, immediately reaching for my dress. The door was slammed shut. A whimper escaped my mouth as I struggled to get to the lock, slapping my hand twice before it engaged. I heard both sets of footsteps racing away from the SUV and what sounded like another round of gunfire. I dared to take a look but could see nothing at first. Then another volley of footsteps, heavy boots thudding against the concrete, was close. Too damn close.
Holding my breath, I sank to the floor, my heart racing. I was shaking so violently that I almost ripped the dress as I attempted to slide into it. A heady adrenaline rush shot through me like molten lava, keeping me on such a precipice that I was lightheaded. What if…
Oh, no. I wasn’t going down that road. Dominick was a big boy and could take care of himself. When I was finally dressed, I remained hunkered on the floor, rocking back and forth. If he’d really wanted me to understand what he world was like, I did now. Damn him and his life, his fucking need to own the world.
I could swear there were more shots and I couldn’t stand not knowing. I dared take another look, petrified when I noticed someone running in the direction of the SUV. Everything was in a blur as I slumped down as far back against the seat as I could manage. I’d never prayed, had never had a reason to believe, but I had no other choice.
The sound of the door opening forced me to slap my hands over my mouth.
“Fuck. Where are you?” Bruno’s gruff voice boomed in the space.
I let out a gasp, crawling until I could see him. “What the hell is going on?”
“I’m getting you out of here and to safety. Stay where you are until we are out of the garage.”
“Where is Dominick?”
Bruno started and revved the engine, ignoring my question.
“Where the hell is he?”
He darted a nasty glare into the rearview mirror as he shifted the behemoth of a vehicle into drive, the tires screeching as he swung out and around the other parked cars. The force pummeled me against the door as he accelerated. The rumble of the engine between my legs gave me a sickening feeling. I clawed until I was on my knees, scrambling until I was able to get into the seats directly behind him.
“What the fuck are you doing?” he hissed, throwing back his arm. “Get the fuck down. You don’t have any idea what we’re dealing with.”
“Where is Dominick?”
Bruno swore under his breath as he swung around another corner, tossing me back and forth. “Damn it. He’s fine, Caroline. Please get down. You are in extreme danger.”
I could tell he was nearing the exit. I hunkered down, but not before I noticed several men standing over someone who was crouched on his knees, his hands behind his head. Everything flew into slow motion as a muzzle went off, the slight flash and cracking sound muffled, at least in my ears. But there was no mistaking the sight as the man crumbled to the ground, half his head blown off.
“I said get the fuck down. I won’t ask you again!” Bruno’s angry voice snapped me out of my slow-mo.
I slapped my hands over my mouth to keep from screaming, curling on my side. His dangerous life would not only be difficult for me, I knew it was going to be deadly.
I hadn’t bothered changing out of the dress, even though I was in my bare feet, pacing the floor in Dominick’s library. I’d skipped the wine, moving straight to gin, my comforting liquor of choice.
Bruno stood halfway in the doorway, his weapon within easy access. I knew this wasn’t about my escaping as much as whether an assailant would be foolish enough to try a hit now.
I had difficulty thinking clearly even two hours later and three gin and tonics. I was still shivering, perhaps in a mild state of shock. I was worried about Dominick. Bruno had given no information. Nothing. The wave of nausea that had started just after the murder remained, leaving me sick at mind and in my heart as well. I was a smart girl, had seen my share of murders, but certainly only on television. This was… Something else entirely.
His world.
His people.
