Chapter 158 Familiar Demons (Bound) 6

Book:Married To My Sister's Husband Published:2024-5-1

“So you suggested the marriage between Sophia and Markian because you wanted to use her to get my company?” Dad asked humiliated and betrayed.
“Yes… I’m sorry.” Barbra answered.
“All this time Judy Luthel had thought that I was involved in Olivia’s kidnap, when it was actually you? She almost took over my company because she thought I was responsible for hurting her daughter, and you still had the nerve to suggest a marriage between her daughter and my son? Why? For whom were you fighting and being that greedy for?” Dad asked terribly piss.
She hesitated for a bit before responding, “for my son, Carlos.”
And everything began to clicked for me while everyone else was in shock.
“So you turned Sophia against her sister?” Heather asked for clarity.
“No, she did that all by herself…”
“But you encouraged it! You are the real evil and I’ll make sure you pay for all you’ve done to Olivia and I.” I interrupted.
That was why she helped them escape 9months ago and framed Livy for it. So, Carlos Guillian was Barbara’s son?
“Markian, the police are on their way.” Daniel announced the moment he walked back into the room.
Coincidentally, my phone rang and I took it out of my pocket to see whose calling. It’s Olivia, but the last time I called this number, it was Sophia who answered the call.
So without hesitation I picked the call to ask her where she has Olivia and what she has done with my wife.
I’m going out of my mind and wished I had some kind of telepathic ability with Olivia right now.
“Hello, Sophia?” I called out, ready to give her a piece of my mind.
I hate this feeling of helplessness and powerlessness. I just want my Livy back to me.
“It’s me.” I heard the voice I’ve longed to hear all evening.
“Oh my God, Livy?” I called out both happy and scared at the same time.
The realization that Sophia had really kidnapped her suddenly hit me again, even harder than when she told me and I become terrified.
“I’m so sorry Markian, I messed up.”
What is she talking about? I’m the one who messed up. I should never have left her side, trying to act like all was well when Sophia was still on the loose.
“My love, are you ok? You’re not hurt right?” I asked impatiently.
“I’m fine now that I heard your voice. I missed you so much I even wore my wedding ring today just to help me feel that you’re here with me. But hearing your voice now is way better.” She replied calmly like she wants me to listen to her.
“Just tell me where you are and I’ll come get you.” I urged her impatiently.
“I don’t know… but till you find me, I’ll make sure to be ok. I promise.” She replied with the same calmness.
I was about to ask her what she sees or smells around there so I can easily locate her, but we were interrupted as Sophia’s voice cut in.
“That’s enough…” she said and ended the call.
“Livy? Olivia!” I called out but no response, the call had already ended.
“Markian, what did she say? Where are they?” Jeffery asked curiously and everybody wanted to know as well.
But I ignored him and tapped on my phone’s GPS tracker. Fortunately, there was a beeping red dot active on the map.
Livy tried to tell me that she’s wearing her wedding ring, the same ring I had put a tracker in during that period we were searching for Sophia.
I didn’t think of it as an option because Livy had been upset when I put the tracker in her precious ring, thinking I was being impulsive.
“I know where she is…” I testified excitedly, “… Daniel, tell the cops to reroute and head to the Schmidt abandoned brewery immediately.” I ordered before storming out of the room.
But Daniel, Jeffery and Heather ran after me.
When we got outside I asked, “what do you all think you’re doing?
“We’re coming with you Markian.” Heather stated.
“Hell no. You have a room full of important guests, I can’t ask you to come with.” I countered.
“You’re not asking but I’m coming anyway. So, let’s get this over with before those important people in there realize we’re gone.” She pressed.
There’s really no time to argue with her so I let her have her way. She and Jeffery rode his car, while Daniel got into my car with me and we headed to the abandoned brewery together.
I heard the cops siren from a distance but, I couldn’t care less as I sped way over speed limit to beat them to the place.
When we got to the brewery, I opened the glove compartment of the car and pulled out a pistol.
Daniel wasn’t surprised at all, he knows that I have a licensed gun and walking in there emptyhanded to face Sophia could be quite dangerous.
I got out of the car and ran to the entrance of the building. I was the first to enter so I slowed my pace. When I took 2 more steps forward, I saw Mrs Luthel lying in the pool of her own blood on the floor.
I moved my eyes to the side and saw a silhouette, so i took another step to reveal Sophia standing over Livy who’s on the floor with a gun pointed at her.
I didn’t want to know what was going on or what had happened. Sophia has a gun pointed at my wife, so without thinking twice, I pulled my trigger and shot at her over and over again.
Maybe it was fear that I was about to lose Livy in my very eyes, or maybe it was my personal vendetta with Sophia that made me pull the trigger 3times, but as I watched her drop to the floor, I finally felt relieved after 3months.
I ran to Livy’s side and untied her hands and legs. I call her and shook her carefully, but my wife wasn’t responding to my call.
“Livy? My love, please… please open your eyes.” I pleaded as tears began to form in my eyes.
The cops arrived almost immediately and so did the paramedics. Soon a paramedic came up to me and asked me to stand aside while she examines Livy.
I stood behind her and prayed for Livy to be fine as I watched them carry Judy away in a stretcher. Daniel and Heather walked up to me to console me, but I was terrified.
“She has a pulse, but it’s weak. We need to move her now.” The paramedic announced to my relief as her colleagues brought in a stretcher.
“Thankfully, Mrs Luthel was shot in the shoulder. The paramedics say the bullet didn’t hit any vital organ. Don’t worry too much Markian, everything will be fine.” Daniel told me encouragingly.
“This was my fault Daniel, I was careless and this happened.” I confessed with watery eyes as I watched them move Livy into an ambulance.
“She’ll be fine Markian. We’ll get the best doctors working on her immediately, I promise.” Heather said comfortingly.
“You should go back to the party, it’s rude leaving your guest like that.” I replied to Heather.
“To hell with the party, I can’t let you go through these alone.” She countered, but Jeffery stepped in.
“Markian is right. You should go and explain things to them, then we’ll meet Daniel and Markian at the hospital later… C’mon I’ll drive you.” Jeffery stated before she obliged, and they both drove off.
I rode inside the ambulance with Livy to the hospital, while Daniel drove my car and followed behind us.
It was as though I couldn’t stop crying neither could I stop blaming myself for what had happened. I could only pray that both Livy and Mrs Luthel come out from the surgery safe and sound once we get to the hospital.
