He must be among the people Judy said she’d ‘handle’. I’ve finally been given an opportunity to call out Sophia for what she really is- a liar.
“That’s because we found out that she had orchestrated her own death. This took us sometime to prove, but we finally found evidence to support our claim that Sophia Luthel faked her own death. You’ll find the said evidence in the file the ushers would handover to you…” I answered and paused for a while.
I let them watch the footage in the USB that came together with the file on their laptops before I continued.
“… When I found out that she didn’t only cheat, steal and lie to me, but she also tried to harm my wife and unborn child the moment she returned. How can anyone ignore such a threat and accept her back into the family. She came back with the intent to destroy my family and I couldn’t let that happen.” I added sternly.
Another hand was raised and I pointed at her to speak.
“Still Mr Winfrey, as a public figure you of all people hid your remarriage from the public. Why is that? Could it be that you were ashamed of your new wife?” She asked cunningly.
She must be from a gossip magazine. All she want is to hear something that would be worthy the topic of gossip.
“I didn’t plan to get remarried after I thought I had lost my ex-wife, but eventually I did- for the future of our companies. At first, I didn’t want to make it public since I was still mourning my ex-wife. But after a while, we began to face hurdles in my new marriage that delayed the unveiling of my marriage to Olivia Luthel.” I answered barely keeping my cool.
I saw another hand raised up and gave him the chance to speak.
“Mr Winfrey, isn’t your second marriage considered annulled since your first wife is still alive? Without a bill of divorce, Mrs Sophia Winfrey is still legally married to you.” He asked curiously.
“I hold in my hands the death certificate of Mrs Sophia Winfrey, which was issued on the 11th of February this year…” I stated raising up a piece of document to them, before I continued. “… According to the marital law of the State of Minnesota, this paper in my hand has annulled my first marriage and also gave me the right to remarry. So as far as this goes, Sophia Markian Winfrey does on the 11th of February.” I stated with a threatening tone.
I immediately felt Judy’s hand on my clenched fingers on the table- calming me down.
For the next 30mins, the questions kept pouring in and I was going through each and every one of their absurd question as I carefully as I could, until Judy finally said…
“That’s all the questions we will be answering for today. Thank you for coming.” She announced to my relief, but there was an uproar of murmuring as we stood up to leave the room.
“Why wasn’t a police report made on Olivia Luthel as the prime suspect in the alleged accident of Mrs Sophia Winfrey?…” I heard a voice shout through the crowd and my attention was immediately drawn to the lady that asked the question.
The murmuring ease, giving her room to continue with her question.
“… The photos of Olivia Luthel at the scene of the incident 6months ago was leaked online few hours ago, but my sources say no case was filed against her neither was she interrogated by the police. Obviously, you couldn’t have known at the time that the accident was fake or that Mrs Sophia Winfrey wasn’t dead.”
The room was utterly quiet as I stared in ire at the same lady whom I had pointed at the beginning to open the floor with her question.
She must have a personal vendetta with me or Olivia, and is obviously in cohort with Sophia.
“Making allegations based on mere speculation could yield negative results for you as that could be seen as defaming of one’s character, and I will not let you insult my wife in my presence” I countered sternly with a growl.
I immediately felt Judy’s hand on my shoulder and she said, “Markian, if you don’t mind I’ll like to answer this question.”
I reluctantly nodded in approval and took a stood back.
“I’ll like the public to know that those photos vast spreading online have been analyzed by one of the best Photo-analysts in the country, and this is what he had to say…” Judy stated as she held up her phone with a voice note playing to the reporter.
‘From my teams’ analysis, there’s no possible way the lady in the picture could have caused the fire seen in the photo. And from the angle these photos were taken, it’s clearly a set up. So, this photos can not be used as a valid evidence.’ the voice note stated.
“… But even a 9yrs old could deduce that those photos are a big bull of crap. That’s why the cops didn’t accept it as a form of evidence and Olivia was never interrogated as a suspect… In the light of that, we best be on our way now. Thank you all so much for your patience.” Judy concluded and we left the room before the murmuring rose up again.
